Everything was dark. Yuki could barely see her own hands, let alone what was in front of her. She had no idea where she was or what was happening. Either way she continued to walk. She had to find her way out.
\"Dante!\"
There he was, hanging from his chained arms, covered in blood. Yuki ran toward him.
\'I have to help him.\'
She was only a few yards from him when the chains shattered, freeing him. Almost instantly, Yuki slowed down. She walk toward him. Dante had fallen on his knees, his hands at his sides. Yuki stood only about five feet from him when she noticed. Dante\'s dark hair had completely covered his eyes, a wide smile on his lips. It was soft at first, but it grew steadily louder and louder. He was laughing.
\'What?!\'
Yuki didn\'t understand. What was so funny? Yuki got her answer. A young woman appeared behind Dante and leaned over. She put her arm over his chest and rested her chin on his head, her dark ebony hair falling on his shoulders. That was when it happened. Dante and the mystery woman were being swallowed by darkness! The same darkness that had made it so hard to see, the same darkness she\'d had been so afraid of.

Yuki shot up.
\"It was all a dream.\"
She let herself fall back on her bed, her head landing in the comfort of her pillow.
\"It was all a dream.\" She repeated.
Yuki turned her head toward the side draw next to her bed. On it was a picture of Dante. She remembered taking it last winter when they went sking. He was standing on a tree-covered hill, his snowboard in his arm. Dante was wearing dark blue jeans and a heavy black coat with white stiching. Yuki had no idea why, but black had always been his favorite color...
She would never forget that trip.

\"Dad, what happened?\"
\"It\'s just a blackout, honey. Don\'t worry. Me and a few others are going to go check it out. Stay here with Dante, \'kay?\"
\"\'kay,\" The two teens anwsered in unison. Hikaru Shindo gave his daughter a kiss on the forehead and headed out with the others. An awkward silence was shared as the rest of the guests headed upstairs. The two had stayed in the lobby, on Yuki\'s request to wait for her father.
\"I\'m booorred.\"
They had been talking for about an hour or so on the couch and she was tired of it. Dante shot a look at Yuki.
\"And what do you suggest we do?\"
Yuki answered his question by puncing him, something Dante wasn\'t ready for. Intending to fight her off, he tried to filp her over. It worked, only she landed on the floor Dante on top of her. That\'s when the moment took over. Yuki felt her eyes get heavy as Dante leaned in. A pleasent warmth rushed through her body as Dante leaned over and pressed his lips against hers. Seconds later he pulled away, their faces flushed. He quickly sat up next to her and she pulled herself up on her elbows. Dante spoke first.
\"I\'m sorry... I... \"
\"... N-no, it was my fault and besides, I--\"
\"You two still down here? I figured you\'d be asleep by now.\"
\"Dad!\"
\"Why are you on the floor?\"

Yuki softly stroked her fingers againt the glass, whispering to him.
\"I enjoyed it, baka.\"

Dante had spent the night in Tsukiko\'s apartment, the young lady--not that he would call her that-- he had met in the park. Now, he was on his way to school, planning the day in his head.
\'I have to talk to Yuki. I guess that if she\'s still upset I can go home and get so clothes and money. I don\'t think I can stay with Tsukiko again. It\'s too risky.\'
She was attractive, Dante couldn\'t deny that and after last night. It was ovious he wanted her.
Tsukiko had been wearing a very short night gown the night before,a gown that reached about half way down her thighs. He had stopped himself more than once from touching her, from kissing her lips.
\'She is just so damn--\'
\"Dante.\"
Yuki was standing right in front of him and he hadn\'t even noticed.
\'Of course not. I\'ve been too focused on my own sick fantasies.\'
\"What is it Yuki?\" Not \'How are you?\' or \'Can we talk,\' but \'What is it?\'
\'How stupid am I?\'
\"We need to talk.\"
Dante just nodded. They walked toward the school slowly, trying to bide some time. Dante started. He felt he had to.
\"I\'m... sorry. I know I promised I wouldn\'t--\"
\"Stop.\"
Dante stopped walking. He gave Yuki a surprised look.
\'Why did she...?\'
\"I don\'t wanna hear it. When I said \'we needed to talk,\' I meant I talk, you listen.\"
Surprise was written all over Dante\'s face, but he keep quiet. He knew she needed to let it all out. She was stressed and after living with her so long, he could tell.
\"You hurt me. I thought I could trust you the same way you trust me, but I can\'t. You can come home, if you want. I won\'t hold a grudge, I can\'t. Not against you\"
\"I know.\" Dante took a few steps foward, away from Yuki. He didn\'t turn around, he just spoke. \"If you don\'t really want me home, then I won\'t go. I already have a place to stay, so it\'s not a problem.\"
Yuki\'s eyes widened in shock.
\'He has a place to stay...?\'
\"Where?\"
\"With a friend.\"
Dante walked toward the school, leaving Yuki alone. He knew being with Tsukiko was dangerous, but he didn\'t want to go home if she didn\'t want him there. It was killing him.

Yuki stood there, staring. She whispered his words back, even though she knew he couldn\'t hear her. He was already to far away...
\"...A friend...\"

\"So...\"
Tsukiko plopped on the black, leather couch and folded her right leg over her left. She was still in her uniform, considering it was only around 4:30. Dante had passed by Tokyo Private dozens of times, and to him, her skirt was a few inches too short.
\"...You\'re staying?\"
\"If you let me.\"
Dante knew this was a risk, but he had to take it. He had no where else to go and he was sure Yuki didn\'t want him at home.
\"Sure, why not?\"
\"Arigatoo.\"
Tsukiko leaned over to Dante, who was sitting next to her, and placed her hand on his chest. Dante blushed, something that didn\'t go unnoticed.
\"Don\'t. I always help cuties in need and besides...\"
Tsukiko stood up.
\"I really think you\'re a nice guy.\"
Dante didn\'t answer. What could he say? He always thought she was helping him because she wanted him, not because he was \'a nice guy.\' This just made him feel quiltier about the fantasies foalting around in his head. Moments later, Tsukiko figured he wasn\'t going to say anything, so she gave out a suggestion.
\"Let\'s go out.\"
\"What?\"
Dante\'s eyes were wide in shock. She wanted to go out with him. Why?
\'I thought she...\'
Tsukiko shook her head. \"Not on a date, you baka. Just out.\"
\"Oh...okay.\"
She noticed he\'s cheeks were still pink and smirked.
\'Too bad. I wish I could really call it a date.\'
Tsukiko had a mission and she couldn\'t stray from it. She couldn\'t put her desires before her priorities. She wouldn\'t, not again. Last time she had gotten into so much trouble...
\"Let\'s go to the mall.\"

Dante and Tsukiko had just left the house and already she was turning heads. She had worn a very tight, low cut pair of dark blue jeans, which moved to her every curve. Her shirt wasn\'t any less revealing, a V-neck that reached a few inches above her navel with an open back.
\"Doesn\'t it annoy you?\"
\"What?\"
\"The staring.\"
Tsukiko either didn\'t notice or was good at ignoring it. Dante, on the other hand, was starting to feel very uncomfortable, then again, he wasn\'t the one being stared at.
\"I like it, accually.\"
\"Why?\"
Tsukiko stopped and looked at Dante, an annoyed expression on her face.
\"Tell me, what girl doesn\'t like to be stared at?\"
\"Gomen.\"
Dante was about to argue but he decided to keep quiet. He\'d hadn\'t gotten the chance to see her upset yet and wasn\'t looking foward to it. He knew she had an attitude and took a guess of what a pissed Tsukiko looked like. Not pretty.
\"You apologize too much. We\'re supos\'ta be havin\' fun. Come on.\"
Tsukiko grabed his arm and pulled Dante into a crowd. They spent the next few hours going from store to store, Fleritity buying everthing she was intrested in. Dante just stood to the side, complimenting her choice or holding her bags. What else could he do?
\"Let\'s go get something to eat and then we can go buy you something.\"
\"Tsukiko, I don\'t have any money--\"
\"That doesn\'t matter. My treat.\"
\"I couldn\'t.\"
Tsukiko was getting tired of this, but she didn\'t want to argue with him, not now.
\'He\'s just being his usual humble self.\'
She hadn\'t known him that long but she knew that much. From what she figured, he was calm, respectful, and, of course, humble. She hated it. She usually hung out with bad boys, but the boss had wanted her to keep an eye on him.
\'Wonder why...? Well, whatever, he is cute.\'
\"Come on. Let\'s go eat.\"

Yuki and Rikku had stopped at the food court for a bit. It had all been Rikku\'s idea. She had noticed Yuki was upset and gave her speech about how \'shopping is a girl\'s cure for eveything.\' Yuki had never believed it, but what else could she do. Dante had been on her mind all day, reminding her how much she hurt him.
\'But I asked him to come home...\'
\"Yuki, come on. Tell me what happened with Dante.\"
\"Rikku, I don\'t--\"
\"Pleeease.\"
Rikku was doing her infamous puppy eyes. The eyes that had made every guy in school adore her. The eyes that made her stand out. The eyes that had Dante crushing over hers back...
\"Rikku...\"
Yuki sighed.
\"...Fine.\"
Was there anyone in the world who could hide anything from the blond? But that wasn\'t the task at hand. Even though Yuki didn\'t want to remember, she had to at least tell her best friend. Rikku had been there forever, even back four years ago when Dante had awoken from his coma. They were friends. They had always been.
\"Well, this morning I... Dante.\"
\"What?\"
Yuki leaned over, staring behind Rikku.
\"No. Look.\"
Rikku turned around. There he was, looking around, for someone.
\"Maybe he\'s look for you?\"
\"Maybe.\"
Yuki stood up.
\"I\'m gonna go see.\"
Yuki walked toward him. They needed to talk. Dante had mentioned he was staying with a friend, but, to Yuki, that wasn\'t enough. She wanted to know who this \'friend\' was and where exactly Dante was staying. Yuki was only a few feet away when she saw her. Her dark ebony hair falling down her back, as she grabed Dante\'s arm.
\"Dante, come on. Let\'s go.\"
\'It\'s...\'
It wasn\'t just any woman, it was her. It was the woman in her dream. No not a dream, a nightmare. Yuki froze. That was Dante\'s \'friend\'?
\'No. It can\'t be... it just can\'t.\'
\"Dante...\"
He hadn\'t heard her. He and his \'friend\' had already walked away. It killed Yuki to think they were together. She had been so close to him for so long and now...
\"Yuki, what\'s wrong?\"
Rikku had stepped up beind Yuki and noticed the depression writien on her face.
\"He was looking for someone else.\"
Her friend was about to start asking questions when Yuki turned around. She walked right back to where they had been sitting and picked up her bags.
\"I\'m going home. I can\'t deal with this.\"
Rikku just watched as Yuki walked away, remembering the sad look she had gotten to see so much in the past few days.
\'What happened?\'

not bad, right...?
