Chapter 1
Chapter 1
It was about five o’clock that evening as a girl with blue eyes and brown hair sat in her luxurary one bedroom apartment, while gazing out onto her balcony. For even though she was twenty-five, she was also very deadly for over the last nineteen years of her life, she had trained herself to become strong.
I must continue to become strong, I can’t afford to wimp out I’ve lost to much over my childhood to come this far only to become weak, thought the girl only to become startled by the sound of the telephone ringing.
“Hello?” asks the girl, as she picks up the phone.
“Hello? Arainaina? It’s me Fay, I have an assignment for you” replies the voice on the other end.
“Where?” asks Arainaina.
“England, London to be specific” Fay replies.
“What’s wrong? What’s the problem?”
“There having trouble with the Vampires over there, so they’ve called and asked me for back up and since you’re my best Hunter, I’ve decided to send you in” replies Fay.
“When do I leave?”
“Now”
And with that, Fay hangs up with Arainaina for she learned long ago never to question her boss when it came to stuff like this and missions.
So, with nothing further Arainaina walks into her bedroom and grabs her black duffle bag from under her bed which held her stakes, knives, crossbow, pistol, cross, flashlight, vials of holy water and her special sword which was forged with holy water before walking back out of her room and leaving her apartment.
Once Arainaina leaves her apartment, Arainaina makes her way towards her black ford focus XL where once there Arainaina tosses her bag into the passenger seat before climbing into the driver seat and taking off down the road and heading for the airport.
As Arainaina drives for the airport, Arainaina can’t help but let her mind wonder back to that night her parents were killed and the day she met Fay.
“Arainaina?” asks a voice.
“Who are you?” asks Arainaina to the guy in front of her who looked to be five foot seven.
“My name is Fay Jones, and I’m here to take care of you” answers Fay to the little girl.
“Fay?” asks the little girl.
“Yes, I’m your father’s boss, and he’s asked me that I look after you if something should come up or happens to him that he’s no longer able to take care of you.”
Yes, that day when Fay had come to her aid, Arainaina was happy for without Fay, Arainaina would and probably would’ve fallen victim to the Vampires.
So, as promised Fay became Arainaina’s guardian until Arainaina’s fourteenth birthday and Fay offered Arainaina something she would never be able to take back if she chose it.
“Arainaina” calls Fay.
“Yes” answers Arainaina, as she turns to look at Fay.
“As you know your fourteenth birthday is here and you’ve turned fourteen and because of it I’m allowed to ask you by your father’s wishes that on this day of days I’m allowed to offer you two choices: One is that you can live your life as a normal teenager or two you can work at the VHC (Vampire Hunter Corporation) were I’ll train you to become a Vampire Hunter just like your father and mother were\"
As Arainaina took both into consideration, Arainaina begins to weigh her decisions until she’s able to choose one. “I choose to train and become a Vampire Hunter just like my father and mother was” announces Arainaina.
“You sure? I mean once you decide I can’t go and undo it and you’re a Vampire Hunter regardless of what happens” replies Fay.
“I know, but I want to do this” remarks Arainaina.
“Very well, then we’ll begin your training at the VHC first thing tomorrow morning.”
And with that Arainaina trained at the VHC under the watchful eye of Fay, as Arainaina trained to become one of the strongest Hunters anyone could ever imagine and that was how it was for the last nineteen years of her life.
But during those years Arainaina also made many friends and enemies along her training at the VHC for some of the other Hunters were either nice or some were cruel and would completely ignore her or say mean things to her just because Arainaina was a better Hunter then they were. But one day when Arainaina went to confront Fay about it all he did was tell her a few simple words.
“There jealous, ignore them.”
So, Arainaina listened and learned to ignore them for none of them knew how much she was training or why she was training except her and her alone with the exception of Fay for he to knew why she was training and promised to help her in any way possible.
And so that was how Arainaina lived for the rest of her life, always isolated from others except Fay when he needed her other wise she always remained alone, never once making contact with the other Hunters even though Fay told her to, but Arainaina never listened and just locked herself away from the rest of the world.
