Wormwood

Ruby took twenty dollars from the hundred she made pawning her guitar and put the rest in her jewelry box. She then emptied her back pack and rode her bike to the local health food store. Ruby walked over to the giant bookshelf in the middle of the store which was full of jars filled with various herbs and powders. Consulting the nearby chart of herbs and their prices, she filled twenty regular sized plastic baggies with the green herb. She payed the cashier, put them all into her back pack and pedaled her way home. Now all she needed was a place to sell them. Deciding the best place was the bad neighborhood on the other side of town she also settled on the idea that she would need a disguise, seeing as that area wasn\'t exactly the best place for a seventeen year old white female to be alone at night.

The next day at school she went to the lost and found and \"claimed\" an old pair of baggy jeans, a faded sweatshirt with the logo of a dragon on it and an old hat. She kept her plan in the back of her mind all that day. When she went home that afternoon she went on about her usual buisness until night fall. Then she locked her door and took out the baggies from where she had hidden them under her mattress. Scooping the Wormwood from the larger baggies into smaller ones, she managed to fill about fifty. Selling these for about ten dollars a piece she could make five-hundred dollars, enough to pay the rent and have money left over. Next she stripped down to her underwear and set about fine tuning her disguise.
