The Windmill Twin

Evelake sat on the top of the windmill looking over the town. Maybe he should find Dnias. There was only so long that guy could be by himself. The last time Evelake had left him alone Dnias had almost gotten himself killed by a gang. God it was like looking after a fucking four-year-old. To think that Dnias had turned into that. Evelake pulled his legs up to himself. Dnias had used to be his hero. He\'d wanted to grow up and be just like Dnias, the one he admired more then anything.

Now it was a different story.

How long had it been now? He wanted to say almost two years. He\'d been eleven when it had happened. Everything had changed so fast. In all actuallity Dnias had been perfectly normal. His hair had been long but at least it had been one length all around. That and he hadn\'t been this strange. He hadn\'t been so carefree and naive. Dnias had been the perfect role model. Stern and yet completely understanding. Evelake had basked in the glow Dnias had leaked out of himself.

Evelake felt tears in his eyes but he brushed them away. Why did everything have to change? Why had Dnias\'s light gone out? Evelake still remembered the first time that Dnias had shown him a windmill. Not a windmill like the one he was sitting on. A real live windmill. Something only Dnias could have shown people. Now...now they travelled all over. Evelake secretly wishing that they would find a windmill that would bring back that glow Dnias had once had.

Standing Evelake streched and yawned. Well, he\'d probably made Dnias wait long enough. Dnias hadn\'t lost his worrying thing. Dnias was horrible when it came to that kind of thing. Evelake supposed it was because he was blind and never knew exactly where he was but he did tend to worry a little to much.

Walking through the town Evelake looked around. Surely Dnias was still out looking for him. It wouldn\'t be like Dnias to just give up after only one night. Evelake had disappeared for two days once and Dnias had still been looking for him the night of the second day.

He froze as he walked past a certain door and looked at it. A really strange feeling was coming from this house. Silently he walked inside and closed the door just as silently behind himself. This was really nice house. And when he said nice he meant nice. There were pictures everywhere. Seemed like a really nice happy family.

He heard a noise from upstairs and walked towards the steps. He knew he shouldn\'t. He didn\'t even know who\'s house this was but he did know that a man and a woman lived here and that meant they could be...umm...yeah. But, Evelake was a thirteen-year-old and he was curious. At least that would be his excuse if he got caught.

Evelake snuck up the stairs and towards the bedroom. He pushed the door open a little and felt his cheeks heat up with a warm blush. Yes, two people were...yeah. It wasn\'t like he could see much. All Evelake could see was the back of some guy\'s head and then sheets. Though he could definately see the movement and hear the noises.

\"Harder...please...\"

His eyes widened. Either that woman had a very guy-ish voice or the guy on top was cheating on his wife...with another guy. Well, that made him watching this so much more wrong...and fun. The moans got lowder and the movement got more frantic. What? Evelake was a perfectly normal...in some ways...thirteen-year-old boy curious about sex. In truth he wasn\'t but he liked holding things against people.

\"Oh god!\" the person below the man yelled. \"Oh god Arek...uh...please...I can\'t...please...\"

\"You\'re so...fuck...sexy like this...so fucking hot...Dnias.\"

\"DNIAS!\" Evelake screamed and the two people on the bed were immediately sitting and looking at him. \"OH MY GOD! DNIAS!\"

Dnias kept the blanket covering him and felt around for something to wear. \"Evelake...please...just wait a moment okay?\"


Evelake turned on his heel and ran out of the house. Arek helped Dnias dress quickly and pulled him along after Evelake. \"Don\'t move.\" Arek told him and took off after Evelake down the street.

Dnias stood there waiting in fear for Arek to return with his little brother. He heard the sound of Evelake struggling and held out his hand for them. \"Evelake? Where are you Evelake?\"

Someone slapped his hand out of the way and then a hand slammed across his face. Dnias set a hand on his cheek and lowered his head. \"You fucking whore!\" Evelake yelled at him. \"You met this guy what? Eight hours ago and I come looking for you to find this? Were you worried about me at all? Why am I even asking that question? Clearly you weren\'t!\"

\"Evelake that isn\'t it...\" Dnias said softly.

\"Like fucking hell it isn\'t!\" Evelake yelled at him. \"Goddamn it Dnias I don\'t even know why I bother if you are just going to go off with random strangers like this!\" he clenched his fists and slapped Dnias again. \"My god! What were you thinking Dnias? Well if you aren\'t going to care about me then to hell with you!\"

\"Evelake please...\" Dnias pleaded.

\"Fuck you!\"

\"Evelake!\" Dnias yelled at him and a strong wind circled around him. \"Stop being such a spoiled little brat and listen to me for a moment how about? This isn\'t all about you! If you think you are so grown up then how about you stop thinking I need to worry about you like you are a child!\"

Evelake stood there trembling a moment. The wind died down and Dnias reached out for him but Evelake slapped it away. \"You think that this is all about me? That we\'re out here because I want to be? Because I have some selfish reason for dragging you across the country?\" he felt tears well up in his eyes again but he pushed them away. \"Well it\'s not! I want you back Dnias! I want back the Dnias I used to know! The Dniad who used to look after me and care about me! The Dnias who I could trust and go to with my problems! The person that I looked up to! I thought if...if I...if I could brighten you again...if I could get you to glow again...then you\'d come back to me Dnias...\"

Dnias had a hand over his mouth in shock. \"Evelake I didn\'t know...\"

\"You\'re right! You didn\'t!\" Evelake snapped at him. \"Because you never asked. You never care how I talk or act. You don\'t care that I push you around and leave for days on end. Dnias what happened to you? You\'re blind Dnias! That doesn\'t mean everything else had to change too!\"

Dnias hugged himself. \"But everything did change Evelake.\" he said softly, the wind dancing around him gracefully. \"Everything I ever knew disappeared Evelake. It\'s different from you. All I had ever known was in that place and it was taken away from me. Selfishly. You don\'t know what happened there Evelake...you can\'t understand it...\"

\"Then why don\'t you tell me?\" Evelake asked him. \"Why wont you just tell me what happened that day Dnias?\"

\"I never used to care about the feel of a windmill...\" Dnias muttered softly. \"I just loved the look of one and how far you could see from the top of it.\" he sniffed back tears. \"\'I\'ll take your greatest pleasure...and burn it to the ground. And just so you can never have that feeling again...I\'ll take your greatest gift.\' That\'s what he said to me...before he took everything away.\" he burried his face in his hands. \"Everything! Just like that! I hadn\'t meant to do wrong! I really hadn\'t! I just couldn\'t have left you...I couldn\'t have...\" he was crying. Both Arek and Evelake could hear it. \"It would have been wrong.\" He lifted his head towards Evelake. \"I hate it! I hate this world and everything about it! I have tried my best to pretend everything is okay for you Evelake! I have tried so hard to be strong for you and not show you how trying unhappy I really am! Because...because he took that from me.\" Dnias lowered his head again. \"Took everything that made me strong. My sight, my home, my memories. Everything. Gone.

\"I have only ever wanted to make you happy little brother.\" Dnias promised as tears fell to the ground. \"I have always put my happiness aside for you, always thought of you before myself. Tonight...I just needed tonight Evelake. I needed to feel again. To have some little feeling that I am still a part of my world. That I am at least, in some small fraction of a way, the person that was taken away so long ago. I just need to know...that what that man took away from me...is still there.\"

Evelake hugged Dnias and cried into the older guy\'s chest. Dnias\'s eyes widened. It had been a long time since Evelake had cried openly. \"You are such an idiot Dnias. God...why are you such an idiot putting me before yourself? Stupid jerk.\"

Dnias smiled and held Evelake close to him. \"You\'ve really done this all for me Evelake? Taken me to all these places to help me find what I lost?\"

Evelake nodded into him. \"Of course I have Dnias! I\'m gonna make you glow again! Just like I remember! No matter how far we have to traval and no matter how much I have to push you we are going to find what that man took from you Dnias.\"

\"You are truly a wonderful little brother Evelake.\" Dnias sighed. \"There is nothing I would not give to take away your pain.\"

\"Well you can\'t do that!\" Evelake pulled away and got serious on them. \"Now, we are heading out Dnias! There are only so many windmills in this world and we are going to go to every one of them it we have to!\"

\"Dnias?\" Arek asked and the two turned in his direction. \"So it really is true then...you aren\'t human.\"

Dnias smiled. \"Of course I am human. I have a heart, and a mind, and a body. That is what makes a human, human is it not?\"

Arek nodded. \"I guess.\"

\"Ever heard of Uyuura?\" Evelake asked (a/n : yes I did make that up : p) and Arek nodded. \"Uyuura, made up of eight different things. Fire, Earth, water, air, life, death, light, and dark. Eight different gods that rule over this world and protect their element. So, we have the Ura, the gods of the world. Then we have the Uyuura. The ultimate god and ruler.

\"Jenki, god of fire, lives on the top of mount Hiyra. Saa, the god of Earth, lives somewhere in the east I believe. Gyasi, the god of water, lives near the sea in the west. Alek and Andrey, twins, life and death, live in the forest Drek. Haji and Heru, Heru the older brother, light and dark, they live in Gerland.\" Evelake explained.

Arek was really trying not to laugh. \"And wind?\"

Evelake smiled. \"Dnias Traume, currently a traveler.\" he ignored Arek\'s shocked face and went on. \"However...! there have been disturbances in this area lately. For as you should know a new Uyuura is choosen once every billion years and we are nearing that time like...soon. So, all of our lovely gods have been doing their best to assure their place as the Uyuura and not to stay as Ura. Dnias and I are currently on a mission to find out who attacted him so we can get the bastard back and make sure he becomes the Uyuura.\"

\"Evelake I don\'t wish to be the Uyu-\" Dnias started.

\"Can it!\" Evelake snapped. \"You are going to be the Uyuura if I have anything to say about it! I am not going through all of this trouble just so you can wimp out on me got it?\"

Dnias blushed and nodded. \"Of course Evelake.\"

Arek cleared his throat. \"So, you expect me to believe that Dnias here, is a god, and that there is some war between all of you going on so you can become the Uyuura?\"

\"I don\'t expect you to believe jack shit.\" Evelake snapped at him and he turned to Dnias. \"Speaking of Andrey, Dnias. What happened between you and him last time?\"

Dnias blushed more and laughed nervously. \"Well, you know Andrey. He can be a little cold some times.\"

\"So you had another fight.\" Evelake sighed. \"Andrey will probably kill this guy right here you know? He\'s very protective Dnias. You should have thought of that.\"

\"Whoa!\" Arek cut in. \"Back up. Are you telling me that you are with someone Dnias?\"

\"Um well...\" Dnias thought a moment. \"I wouldn\'t call it /with/ him. After all we did have a fight and he did tell me he\'d rot in hell before seeing me again.\"

Evelake rolled his eyes. \"Yeah, because that is different from the hundreds of other times he\'s said that exact same thing. I give him around ten minutes. He\'ll show. Andrey always shows.\"

Dnias crossed his arms. \"Whatever. Andrey can show up all he wants. He\'s nothing but a jerk.\"

Arms wrapped around Dnias\'s shoulders. \"So, am I gonna have to teach you some obediance now Ryu-Ka?\"


A/N : Blah, blah, blah. REVIEW. Honestly this is just pointless drabble. All of it. I\'m bored and need something to do so I am writting this! Muahahahaha! ANYWAY, I have something for you...read below.


URA - kind of like demi-gods ya know? They are there to keep a closer eye on things then the real Uyuura can.

UYUURA - In this story it is basically god. Though of course we throw in the elemental powers and the fact that no one actually prays to him in like some Kult-religion-type-thing.

Ryu-Ka - It\'s like saying \"lover\" or \"husband\".

OHKAY, now for something else, yes the gods do have their own language in this story and no I am not going to make one up. Whenever the gods talk you will see this : {__words__} : Kay? Of course I am going to throw a few made up words in there, like Ryu-Ka, but I will tell you what they mean. Tah tah.
