All characters in this story belong exclusively to me, and if you steal them, I’ll hunt you down. Michelle had always had a thing for the guys that most classified as nerdy or geeky. She never really did know why; she guessed she just felt bad for them and saw herself as a vessel to help them out of their shells. She had been the head librarian of the Garrison Public Library since the city had used its money to renovate the old out of date shack. That had been a little over 15 years ago, and she’d taken the job at the tender age of 29; she’d just turned 44. Even at her advanced age, she still had the looks that she had when she’d originally taken the job 15 years ago, and she knew it. One of her favorite past-times was teasing the males in the library by wearing skirts that ended a little before the crotch and perfectly showed off her round and supple ass. She’d been told by many a man that her legs were something a man could stare at and drool over for hours at a time, and she made sure the men could see them. Yet with all her blatant sexuality, she had somehow managed to remain a virgin the whole time; she was waiting for just the right man to give her body to.
Ever since the library had reopened after the renovations, Michelle took particular notice of one of the more steadfast patrons of the new library. Patrick was the exact kind of guy that she always felt so horrible for. He was tall yet had no muscle tone whatsoever. His hair seemed to be in constant disarray, and he always dressed in business clothe, although she was absolutely sure whatever work he did, it wouldn’t require such conservative attire. She noticed him about a month after she took the job, when she realized that he came in every single day at the same time and left at the same time as well; she could practically set her watch by him. He tried to be secretive in his fawning, but she had noticed his constant stares and knew the real reason his conversations with her were always so choppy. He had it bad for her, and she honestly felt for the guy. He kept up his schedule for a whole 15-year period, and the whole time, although she felt a little uneasy about his devotion to her, she had come to care for him, almost like a brother.
That was why when he asked her out, she was left utterly speechless for the longest amount of time. To her it seemed as if time had suddenly stood still, and she had all the time in the world to contemplate this question. Her logical mind was screaming at her to say no. It was telling her that his adoration wasn’t that of a normal individual, and that he was potentially dangerous. Yet her heart told her Patrick was just a sad and lonely guy who’d been turned down so many times in life that she was all he had left to adore. Eventually it was her heart and compassion that won over her mind and its impeccable logic. She sat behind her table and finally spoke after a very quiet and silent minute. She told him “I’d love to go out with you Patrick. You seem like a great guy actually, and I’d really like to go to dinner with you tonight. I get off work at about 5:30, that's about half an hour. So if you want to sit around for awhile, we can head out right after I’m done.” Her heart was beating at a million miles a minute and her mind was still screaming at her that what she was doing was against everything she’d been taught, and that she needed to turn back and take back her offer. Yet she merely went back to work as Patrick practically skipped off to a seat and smiled like she’d never seen him smile before and start into another of his historical fictions.
Author’s Note: I'm sorry it has taken me so absolutely long, but I am finally almost finished with chapter 3. As soon as Sara gets the edited version back to me I will have it up for all of you to enjoy. If I'm lucky I plan to have the third chapter up and posted by the 30th of July at the very latest. Thank you to all that have reviewed, I appreciate all your compliments, and even some of your admonishments. Keep checking back for the new update
