Shattered hearts and broken minds

\"SHUDDUP!\" Someone shouted out a window at the noise below. The two vampire\'s had gotten deathly drunk and it was only fortunate that vampire\'s couldn\'t die from drinking too much. The two men giggled and laughed histarically, as each swayed and staggered at the own pace, arms around each other\'s shoulders, both singing Irish drinking songs as they went. They made their way through the empty, dimmly- lit, sleepy streets, bumping into trash cans, and staggering into walls as they made their way home, to the castle.
It was nearly three in the morning when the brothers arrived at the front door, Draco suffering from a fit of uncontrolable giggles.
\"Shhh!\" Tommy laughed, hitting his older twin over the head with a clenched fist.\" The kid\'s probably asleep.\" And at this statement both twins began to laugh even harder, tears sprouting from their eyes in their drunken state. Both pushed up hard against the door, and it opened suddenly, causing them to stumble inside, the silent laughter slowly dying away.
\"Man, I never knew I could drink that much!\" Draco said voice returning to a normal, yet gleeful tone.
\"Yeah, I\'m fuckin\' wasted!\" Tommy snickered, almost proudly. The two walked into the darkened castle, closing the door behind them and lighting a candle. The light it gave off was dim, although they, being vampires, could see just fine. Both made snide comments and laughed about the night they\'d had, disscussing humorous details of the bar they\'d gone too. Draco listened to his brother yack, and rave, before a coppery, familar scent tugged at his nostrols. Draco turned to his younger sibling, noting that he, too, had stopped talking. Draco\'s heart stopped and Tommy\'s heart rate increased as both recognized the smell at once.
\"Blood!\" They said in unison, as they dashed to follow the scent, thoughts focused on the only person left in the castle. Both tore through the corridors, opening every door, until the last one they opened made them cringe at what they found inside. Tommy\'s heart felt like it was being ripped out, and Draco\'s head began to spin as they observed the scene. Blood was everywhere. On the walls and the floor. There were two disturbingly large puddles on the floor as they idenitfied a pale white and electric blue heap that lay in the puddle largest of the two, by the wall, in the corner.
\"Dake!!! Tommy screeched flying through the room and falling to his knees where the heap lay, Draco at his heels. \" Dake! Dake please wake up! C\'mon you wake up!\" The man growled, panicked, shaking the boy.
\" Wait, wait!\" Draco cried, causing Tommy to stop shaking him. The older vampire placed two long- nailed fingers on the elf\'s juggular and was releaved to feel the weak sign of a pulse. Tommy was nearly at the brink of hyperventalaiting, emotions shuffled, and mixed causing him to want to cry, sream, and kill all at once.
The boy was lying in a puddle of his own blood, Tommy could tell from the scent. His body lay in shambles, wounds and scratched deeply coating the exterior of his body. Both twins knew before they had even entered the room that the injuries had been caused by force, molestation, and rape.
\" Dake?!\" Tommy called worriedly, brushing long, blood-saturated strands of hair out of the boy\'s face and out of the way of his body, making the wounds more visible. Draco grew quiet, only starring at the boy\'s beaten body.
\" Oh, gods no!\" Tommy sobbed, placing his head in his hands, wiping away the tears that were about to fall. He traced the deep laserations on Dake\'s chest with his fingertips, then brushed them across the boy\'s bruised buttocks. Tommy\'s heart jumped as Dake squirmed at this, letting out a low, pained moan, wriggling into another position. Draco\'s eyes widened, almost happily as he saw Dake squirm, letting out a small, quiet sigh of relief. Draco held the boy\'s head in his hand as Tommy cupped his hand around Dake\'s scratched, and bruised cheek.
\" Dake?...\" Tommy trembled voice soft, more concerned now, than panicked. \" Dake, .... sweetheart wake up.\" Tommy was almost as shocked as Draco and if it wasn\'t for such severe circumstances, would never have addressed him in that way. In his eyes, Dake was a child, and never in his mind had he even thought about the boy being hurt like that. Not that innocent sixteen year old who\'d made himself apart of both he, and Draco\'s lives. Never in Tommy\'s mind did he ever think a day like this would come to meet Dake.
Slowly the elf\'s eye\'s fluttered open, at first shocked, then relieved to find the two men looking down on him. Tommy stiffened as the boy flinched at the vampire\'s touch on his bruised cheek. The men only stared and gawked at each other in silence. Both the twins ached to see Dake in such pain, and it was this that had Draco cupping his hand protectively over Dake\'s. Tommy only stared at the boy, before shifting his sad and guity gaze to the blood- soaked, stone floor.
\"I...I\'m sorry-\"
\"It was worth it.\" The elf whispered weakly, cutting off the vampire\'s words of apology. Draco and Tommy\'s heads shot up at once, two pairs of eyes locked on the boy.
\"What?!\" The twins both gasped in unison.
\"He-he, s..said that, I-I mean he told me to... told me that...\" The boy gasped hard, trying to breathe and speak at the same time. It was no use, however, and Dake could feel his throat begin to burn. He coughed, then choked, and sat up painfully fast as he lowered his head, parting his lips as the sick poured out. The boy felt as if every organ was ready to come up is throat, as he spit up a warm, coppery-tasting, crimson substance that he found to be his own blood. Draco just turned his head, his hand squeezing Dake\'s slightly as he looked away, saddened and almost a bit ashamed. At once Tommy comforted the boy as ill poured out of him, the vampire rubbing his back in small, soft circles.
The boy coughed a last time, before he moaned and let out a small cry of pain. Tears formed at the ducts in his eye\'s, clearly from the overwhelming rush of pain that shot through the teen\'s body. Dake gasped for air, his face flushed with fever. \"...-...\" Dake parted his lips to speak as warm finger, pushed lightly on them, shushing him.
\"Shhh... not now...\" Tommy whispered as took off and wrapped his warm, black, overly-large trenchcoat around the elf\'s naked, bloody body. Both were careful as they hoisted him into their arms, Draco at his head and shoulders, Tommy at his waist, letting his feet dangle over his arm. Carefully they left the corridor, holding the boy gently as they trudged up the fifty-step stair-case and down the hall, into Tommy\'s bedroom.
Only the light of the moon and glistening stars was shinning into the long-legnthed, paned, windows. Mystically, they allowed for the light of the moon to shine through them and on to Tommy\'s King-sized, eboney colored bed. Pillows were stacked surprisingly neatly on the head of the bed, the covers, smoothed out and straightened with care. Carefully they pulled back the covers and laid the boy, softly on to the bed. The covers felt soothing on the boy\'s tired body and wounded skin. After pulling the sheets to his neck and laying a cool cloth on the elf\'s forehead, each twin sat with the teen on the bed. Draco, sitting on the left side of him, by his waist, one leg bent, the other hanging off the side of the bed, where as Tommy was on the right side of Dake, laying close to the teen, only inches away from his chest. Dake snuggled down into the soft, silk sheets, burying his head into the feathery pillows. He let out a tired, relieved sigh, resting his eyes for a short moment, before rolling on to his back. He looked up, only to stare at the two vampires who looked down on him. quickly both turned their heads away, each noting that Dake was looking at them. Both men felt ashamed and embarressed, not necessarily for Dake, but more so because they could have prevented it, had they been there.
\"...It was worth it...\" The boy whispered, wondering whether or not they had heard him. Tommy\'s head snapped up, tears threatening his eyes as he whirled, turning his entire body to Dake. Draco continued to stare at the floor, unable to look at the teen, the boy\'s voice stabbing through him as if it were a blade slicing him in two.
\"Master-\" Dake began, causing the twins to wince and cringe at the word, Draco only able to lower his gaze. \"I-I mean, well He, he surprised me as I was walking through the hall and grabbed me from behind a door... he wanted to know... where, where you were, Tommy.\" Tommy\'s eyes widened as he looked at the teen, whose voice was filled with ache. Draco could feel cheeks grow hot. \"But I didn\'t! I couldn\'t tell Him! I-I knew what he would have done to you and... well... I didn\'t want you to get hurt.... I screamed some... obscenities about where you were, after he\'d already asked me three times where his...his bitch, was...and he-he lost it. He was pissed and he pinned me down, and shattered my ribs when he threw me against the wall. And after that he-... - he shoved himself inside me, I begged for him to stop and to let go, but he was deaf to it. He just kept...p-pounding into me... like I was nothing more than a doll... and and I was bleeding and I think I passed out.... Then he, well when I woke, he did again, only worse, harder and faster and I - I didn\'t pass out! He never stopped, he just kept going and all I remember was pain and more blood, until, he burned me from the inside out, he stopped and collapsed, then after moments got up and then he he---\" Dake shuddered and trembled, bursting into a flood of tears. \"... He g-got his staff ... and he t-took the jewels end and... and he... HE!!\" Dake screamed sobbing uncontrolably, as Tommy\'s arms wrapped around him and held him tight. Tommy began to sob as with the boy who clung to him tightly, aching for his kindness and protection. It was then draco turned, a look in his dark eyes like he had been seared in half, his heart having been ripped out from his chest. With a swift \'swoop\', Draco collected the teen and his little brother in to his arms, resting his head on Dake\'s and begining to whimper and sob into the boy\'s hair. After crying, sobbing and mumbling apologies the three men had all fallen into a deep, worn sleep. Dake lay, resting his head on Draco\'s chest, wrapped in Tommy\'s arms, and Tommy in his. Both had one of Draco\'s arms wrapped securely around their shoulder\'s, his younger sibling also sleeping with his head on the eldest twin\'s chest. All three lay wrapped in the black, warm, silk covers, their leg\'s entangled with each other\'s, Dake\'s nude body almost in between the two men, the cool cloth that had been on the elf\'s head was now resting behind the head-board of the bed. It was then that all in the castle was peaceful, the three boy\'s sleeping soundly together, where all felt safe, wrapped in the warmth of each other\'s arms. Resting peacefully, in the sheltering castle, that protected them from the storm that was about greet them with hale, wind, and rain.
