Part 2

((woah talk about delay :| i wasnt expecting anyone to read this lol, anyways next part up))

They emerged out onto a small bridge leading from Strut B to Strut C, weird noises and a low grumbling could be heard from Strut C. “What do we do now? Asked Silver eyeing the door on the other side of the bridge. Celtic looked back at Silver “Well we cross of course what type of stupid question is that” she stepped out onto the bridge which swayed slightly from side to side due to a massive blast of wind coming from the north. She stopped for a moment till the bridge seised rocking then continued to walk. Silver and Ghost exchanged uneasy looks before in turn they each followed Celtic across the bridge. “Hurry up you to, we don’t got all day” Called Karrde who was the last one to hop onto the bridge. The group finally reached the platform which held the door to strut C. More grumbling could be heard coming from just beyond the door followed by noisy movement. The agents paused for a moment trying to grasp an idea on what was beyond the door. “You first” Ghost pushed Silver forward with both hands. Silver struggled and managed to push his way all the way to the back of the pack “No way am I going in there, maybe later” Karrde shook his head in frustration “Fine Ghost you go first”, an annoyed tone could be heard in his voice, at that Ghost also backed away from the door “No way”. At the same time Karrde and Celtic pushed Ghost forward and with that Karrde spoke “You open the door up right now or you will get a pay cut for the year, now go” Ghost crept forward bringing out his twin-blade sword. He very slowly reached down and grabbed the handle. He began talking to himself “easy man you can do this, just breath in and out, there’s nothing there…1…2…3” He turned the handle and pushed the door open with his shoulder. Celtic, Silver and Karrde all moved in after him weapons drawn ready to strike any unwanted resident. Frozen on the spot all they could do was stare at what lurked before them…

~The night came quickly causing an eerie presence over the building and in doing so gave enough darkness in the building to conceal the unknown horror. Daybreak was far off…and there was no sight of Josie Red or Cho anywhere…were they ok?

In Strut E…

Lia turned the corner with much caution her two pistols locked and loaded ready for attack. Beta and Ella walked behind her also with their weapons drawn. Breaking the un-nerving silence Ella spoke “so…so what do you think the girls were shooting at over the WT?” he looked at the other hoping for a response. Lia continued walking dismissing the question, Beta turned to Ella “ I don’t know babe but whatever it was it must of scared the crap out of them cause Red and Josie aren’t the type of people to run away screaming, Choski on the other hand” she sniggered to herself. Ella replied with a tone of fear in his voice “Yeah but it must have been bad if there telling us to get out of here, may…maybe we should listen to them and get out of this god forsaken place before its to late” Lia turned around and spoke for the first time on the mission “Fine you go run home then, cause all I know is some of our friends need us and I’m not turning my back on them…no matter how bad it gets”. Beta walked up to where Lia was, leaving Ella standing a few metres away “Good going sis, not like you to back away from a shooting frenzy”. The girls continued to walk, Ella looked around for a moment thinking to himself wether to stay with them or head for the exit. His mind ticked over telling him to stay with them “Hey girls wait up” he ran after them.

In an unknown location…

“Keep an eye on her, make sure she doesn’t escape” A very husky male voice echoed in Josie’s ears as her eyes remained shut, keeping her heart rate high as she didn’t find the male voice familiar, a door from behind her closed. Her mind raced back to the office where she last saw Red and Cho, questions passed through her mind on where they were and are they ok. Her head hurt as she fought hard to open her eyes, Josie’s vision was blurry causing more pain as she tried to focus on her surroundings and the person who was talking. She pulled her arm up only to realise she was strapped down. With whatever form of strength she had left in her body she struggled trying to get herself free but it was no use, the material began digging into her wrist causing severe pain. Her eyes began to water as she tried to speak “Wh…ere where am I?” The room remained quiet. She cried softly as she was still unable to see properly and they fact that she had no clue on where she was. The sound of a door opening was heard followed by footsteps and the rattling of a metal trolley; Josie became quite alert allowing her other senses to kick-in. The footsteps stopped right beside her and she could feel someone’s eyes burning into her. Josie asked the question again hoping to get the answer this time “Where am I?” she spoke more clearer that time. “Why my dear there’s no point worrying about that now, if I was you I would be worrying on what I am about to do to you” A different voice was heard this time followed by an unsettling laugh. Josie panicked and struggled against the straps again causing the straps to cut deeper into her wrists and ankles. “Now…now, we’ll have none of that” The male spoke again but this time he grabbed Josie’s arm tightly digging his blunt nails into her skin “Hold still” he jabbed a needle into her arm. Pain shot threw Josie’s whole body causing her to gasp for air. She lade there silently for a brief moment slowly feeling herself become drowsy. “Sleep tight” the males voice faded as Josie fell into a deep sleep.

Lia, Beta and Ella had been walking for hours still no sign of the girls anywhere, it was time for them to rest…They made themselves comfortable in what looked like an overlarge food pantry on strut D…

Ella sat on a stack of crates in the corner, which contained bottles of unused coke whilst sitting there picking at his teeth with his old expired MasterCard. Leaning against the wall near the back of the pantry sat Lia who was polishing her guns silently, and rummaging through the shelves was Beta hungrily looking for something to eat “I’m bloody starving and there is nothing decent here to eat” She picked up a can of leg ham “yeah this will do” she eagerly opened the can and began shoving her face with the processed meat. Lia looked up at Beta for a moment with a sickened look then turned back to her gun polishing. A transmission broke through the silence over the WT; it was Celtic “Hey guys have you found any sign of them yet?” Ella replied “Nope no sign of them yet, infact there is no sign of anyone in this hell hole” “Ok well if you see any suspicious activity contact us straight away, oh and speaking of weird crap we just ran into something that could make your skill crawl so be careful there could be more, over and out” The room became quiet once more and the agents didn’t really feel up to talking at this point in time. A loud bang was heard above them, bringing Lia, Beta and Ella to their feet. It was coming from the air vent…something was in there “What the fuck?” Beta questioned out loud. Movement was heard through the vent and it was steadily coming closer. “Lets get outta here” gestured Ella trying to push the girls to the exit of the pantry, Lia broke free and continued watching the vent, gun drawn ready to attack “Hold on”. Heavy breathing was heard, whatever it was it was sitting there watching them but because the vent was to dark the agents were unable to see what it was. They all backed up well away from the roof vent but continued to eye it intensely. Blood began dripping from the vent creating an eerie dripping noise as it hit the cold hard cement floor. The agents heartbeats raced and there breathing quickened. “Fuck this” Ella grabbed Beta and Lia by the arm and quickly dragged them out of the room. After they were all out he slammed the door shut and locked it with the lock that was already hanging open on the door. Without a backwards glace the agents ran as fast as they could out of that area.

Celtic, Silver and Karrde all moved in after Ghost weapons drawn ready to strike any unwanted resident. Frozen on the spot all they could do was stare at what lurked before them…

Its back was turned to them as it kneeled down over a human body, ripping chunks of flesh off the deceased. The creature’s skin was a dark red, untamed hair covered parts of its body, parts where skin wasn’t missing anyway. All the agents could do was stare at this morbid creature before them. It continued eating unaware of there presence. “What do we do?” whispered Silver trying not to get the creatures attention. “You’re asking the wrong person, what the hell is it?” replied Celtic also whispering under her breath. The creature lifted its head and began sniffing the air; it slowly turned its upper body around to face the group. Fear crept over them as the creature stared at them with its piercing bloodshot lifeless eyes. It turned its whole body around showing its full mutated body, the head was almost doglike with its 2 inch fangs showing, it had massive brute arms and on the ends of them almost human looking hands that held on the end of each finger a three inch long claw capable of ripping through the toughest material with ease. “Well boss, now’s the time to give the orders what do we do?\" Asked Celtic who was standing just to the left of Karrde. As she spoke it the creature became restless sitting there, it seemed to feel the agents where a threat. “Don’t move, don’t speak your aggravating it” Mutter Karrde, trying to keep his mouth closed whilst he talked. The creature reared up on its back legs and let out a tremendous screeching noise. The agents clapped their hands over there ears trying to block out this piercing noise. At that moment the creature charged at them making the ground shake. “RUN!” shouted Karrde to the other agents. They all scattered in different directions. The creature just missed them as it slid across the cement floor trying to slow itself down. It began pacing back and forth waiting for one of the agents to slip up, Silver was nearest to it so it turned and faced him baring its dog like fangs. “Move SILVER!” screamed Celtic, but it was to late, the creature jumped for Silver, he had no time to react it happened so fast and before he new it the creature sunk its claws into Silvers chest causing him to fall backwards slamming into the wall hard. “Your going down punk” Karrde opened his jacket and brought out his combat rifle “Take this” he began shooting violently at the creature as it picked itself back up. Celtic and Ghost followed Karrde’s lead and also brought out there rifles shooting as well. It turned and faced them shrieking in agony, it struggled to move forward to attack its foe. With the last ounce of strength it dove at Karrde but completely missed him. It went straight passed Karrde sliding along the floor coming to a final halt near the far wall. Silver clucked his deep wounds as he stood himself back up. He wandered over to where the others were which was by the creature. “You ok mate?” asked Celtic as she gently patted Silver on the back. “Yeah should be, doesn’t seem to be to much damage” replied Silver still clutching his wounds. “There could be more of these things, lets get out of this strut before more come” called Karrde who was standing by the next corridor they needed to go down.

In an unknown location…

“Aaaaarghh!” Cho awoke from a deep sleep. She was laying on the cold cement floor, which was damp from some leaking pipes up above her. Cho eyed her surroundings, she seemed to be in what looked like a undersized dark cell, and only a small amount
of light crept in which shone through her cell door that was located only few metres away from where she was laying. The room smelt of mould and dust. Cho sat herself up but fell back down grabbing her ribs, she then only just realised her stomach was badly bandaged. “What the hell?” she tried to move again but the pain was to intense leaving her struggling for air. Even through the pain she managed to pull herself up and lean against the mossy wall next to her. “This cant be happening, not now” she muttered to herself as she watched the cell door. She noticed silhouettes moving just outside her cell. “Hello is anybody there? …Red? …Josie?” Cho sat silently waiting for a reply, she received none. “Just perfect, I could be sitting at the HQ right now…playing tennis or something but nooooooo we had to come on a god forsaken rescue mission that led us no where” she rested her head against the wall exhausted as if she had just been running a marathon. “Let me outta here!”

Not far from where Cho was…

Red gingerly opened her eyes, she was in a very bright lit scientific observation room. She was strapped to a board on the back wall, monitors beeping all around her “What the HELL IS GOING ON HERE!!!!” she shouted as she tried to get herself free but it was no use, she was going no where in a hurry. Red looked at her arm which had various drips hanging off it, pumping her with god knows what “Oh great not again”. She just hung there silently thinking about what she could have been doing today and also pondering on where the other agents were. “Evening ma’lady good to see you’re awake” The male husky voice played over the PA system just like the one Josie heard. Red got angry just hearing this mans voice “Where am I and what have you done with my friends?” The man laughed over the PA sending shivers down Red’s spine “They are fine, just fine but don’t worry… you’ll see them again before the end I’m sure” She muttered under her breath at his comment “before…the end what’s that supposed to mean” The males voice kicked in once again “No need to worry… rest now, your going to need it” Red hung there silently again unable to stop her mind from racing a mile an hour.

Lia, Beta and Ella wandered silently up and down dark and silent corridors trying to find the missing agent…

“WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT ALL ABOUT?” shouted Beta at Ella. Almost afraid of her he backed away as if she was about to explode “Do you honestly think I know cause I bloody don’t” replied Ella trying not to raise his voice. Lia turned around shaking her head in frustration “Would you two just shut up for five minutes, for all we know that thing is still looking for us so shhhhhhhh” Beta rolled her eyes at Lia then continued to walk down the corridor, she paused up for a moment “Hey guys where are we?” Lia walked up to her Ella followed “Looks like office quarters or something, not much left of it though” Lia walked into the nearest office. The desk had been tipped over onto it side, it had bit marks taken out of it. Beta walked in after Lia and eyed the desk “Well that cant be right” she bent down shuffling through its open draws. Ella stood in the doorway feeling it was his duty to an eye on the girls and to make sure no danger was coming “hey hurry up girls we shouldn’t stay here for
long”. Lia ignored him and began examining the bite marks, after a few minutes of silence she spoke “Well after a quick examination these bite marks look like they are from a canine” she grabbed out a cotton bud and a small test tube taking a sample of the saliva that was left around one of the marks. “Ewwww gross Lia” replied Beta, holding her hand up to her mouth. “It has to be anal-ysed BETA” Lia added as she stood back up. “Well I’m sorrrreeeeey I don’t know much about tha…” Ella cut Beta off from talking “Shhh” he moved into the office “Something is coming” with that all three off them hid behind the half eaten desk without another word. The sound of loud footsteps was coming closer until the sounds stopped just outside the office door. Ella curiously stuck his head out from behind the desk, he was transfixed on the doorway, without looking he tapped Lia on the shoulder so she could take a look “You don’t suppose that could of done it to the desk do you?” Lia also stared transfixed, almost like giving her and invitation Beta poked her head out from behind the desk as well
“ Oh yeah that’s what would of done it…. you know what I think?” questioned Beta, at the same time the others answered “What” “I think we just got screwed over” replied Beta looking at the creature standing out just before the doorway.
