*For years of my life I had been thinking, about other things besides the war and battles of my past. Although my father always wanted me to just follow his footsteps and become another over powerful leader. I wanted more to life,... there had to be more things I could find. I knew I was different in a few ways,... especially whenever I looked at Altair. Right now we were around the edge of a nearby lake. I myself was sitting back away from the shore, near the trees, while Altair was down by the water. He had removed his shirt a while ago, and was waist deep in the cool water. What I wouldn\'t give to have the courage to go down there and completely strip him of his clothing,... just feel him against me,... maybe more,... I knew he must have an amazing touch. God he was so infatuating,...*
Joseph: Ugh,..
*Let a muffled moan escape my own mouth as I tried to lean forwards and conceal my obvious hardness. I stared down at the ground, trying to erase the images of a clear naked Altair from my brain. I was fine until,...*
Altair: Joseph?
*I looked up just out of reaction,... and my eyes locked onto Altair\'s bare chest and soaked trousers. I felt my gaze shift down his muscled upper body, and stop right at his groin. My eyes never shifted, and I was slowly undressing him with my eyes.*
Altair: Are you all right?
*I looked up quickly when he questioned me, and jumped to my feet.*
Joseph: Altair!
Altair: Yes?
Joseph: I,.... uh,.... I\'m going into town.
*I had to do something quickly to just get away from him, or I was going to come right then and there. He looked a bit confused at my actions.*
Altair: Did you want me to accompany you?
Joseph: No, no! I\'m all right on my own.
*I smiled quickly and turned, walking into the forest on my own. I left Altair behind him, as hard as it was to do so. I always loved looking at him. There was a dirt road I always followed home, back from the lake that we usually visited. I made my way down the path, heading towards the inner city.*

*So they were a little late,... it wasn\'t the end of the world. Well not yet anyway,... Daniel and Archer had ran the entire way deep into the forest. It got darker because the trees blocked a lot of the sunlight from traveling through. They came upon a single wooden cabin. Both came up to the door and knocked twice,... paused, then once,... another pause, then twice again. Someone on the inside of the door opened it, peeking out at them.*
Daniel: It\'s just us Bernard, let us in.
Bernard: You\'re coming awfully late Dan. Ya need to get yer act together and get here on time like everyone else!
*Daniel just laughed at the older man, maybe 50\'s, who was standing there. He had grayish hair, less on the top, and more so on his gray beard. He had dark brown eyes and a tough look to him. He elbowed Archer in the side.*
Bernard: I bet I know what\'s your reason this time! Little buddy here can\'t take too much, now can he?
*Archer nearly fell back, being a much smaller person than either of the two guys around him.*
Daniel: Well this time I kept him working a little longer, he needed more practice.
*Daniel grinned over at Archer, who kicked him in the behind as they walked into the cabin. The door was shut behind them, and a lock latched over it. Archer looked up at Daniel. They usually were late for the same reason every few weeks,... they slept together whenever the urge came. But they really weren\'t lovers per-say. It was more so just a release and a friend thing. Neither one loved the other, but had known each other since young ages. Daniel was about 21 years of age, while Archer stood at about 19.*
\"And here are our slackers dragging up the rear.\"
*A voice from inside chimed up. A man who appeared to be in his late 30\'s, with short black hair and dark green eyes. He stood in front of a small group of about 15-20 men in the center, ranging from all ages and sizes.*
Daniel: And you know you can\'t live without us Faren
Faren: Ah, but I am the leader of his group. And I can dispel you anytime I wish!
Daniel: But you won\'t.
*Faren laughed heartily, they were always joking with each other about everything. Daniel knew everyone in the group, and all the other gangs too. Of course this wasn\'t just an ordinary meeting,... they were rebels. Deep into the subjects of penetrating the king\'s forces and regaining control. Of course they had to keep their titles and ideas under wraps. So this was a private meeting that only few were let too. There were more than what was there too, this was just one group of the people in the area. There were several others, and many more rebels who wished to fight. But they knew it couldn\'t be accomplished without plenty of planning. A lot of which was going underway right now.*
Faren: We\'re awaiting the return of the Black Knight.
Daniel: Oh, he\'s always late, but you complain about us!
Faren: Yes, well he has good reasons for being late.
*Faren rolled his eyes and Daniel just put one hand on the back of his head and looked up innocently.*

*My home,... if I really wanted to call it that. It felt comfortable to be within the confines of the castle,... yet at the same time I always felt trapped within the walls. I had made my way back after taking the long path, taking my time as I walked leisurely back. When I arrived at the gates and proceeded to go inside I saw a familiar figure standing up by the throne. Altair looked back to me and smiled lightly, then nodded once as if to greet me. I looked down, the images of him at the lake filtered through my head again. My mind was swirling, and my body felt aflame, in choice places,... I just forced a smile to hide my face, and walked upwards towards the throne.*
\"And there is my son. Where have you been all day? Avoiding training as usual?\"
*My father, King Cedric, looked down at me with a bit of a glare. Of course I would never turn down a chance to go practice with Altair,... Father thought my mind should be on nothing but battle, but I had things I wanted to do that were different in so many ways. My father began to speak again, about wars and how powerful he and his armies were. I just knew I had to sit and listen to get through it, because it annoyed him greatly when I interrupted. But Altair did that for me, so I thanked him secretly.*
Altair: I must take my leave your highness *bows to the king* The other knights and I are making rounds on the villages.
King Cedric: *nods to Altair* You may go.
*I watched Altair the entire time he readied himself, then started to walk out of the throne room. But I caught a glimpse of movement out of the corner of my eye, and in the shadows to the side lurked a dark figure. His long blonde hair flowed behind him and down his back. It was a dirty blonde,... not like Altair\'s beautiful bright hair. He had light brown eyes, which in the right light gave off a yellow tint. He was taller than Altair by a few inches, and had just a slightly stronger build, he was also older, about the early 30\'s. God how I hated that man. He was Count Regan, my father\'s advisor and right hand man. I watched him as he always kept his eyes on Altair as he walked outside the doors. He was always looking at him,... I hated seeing him stare at Altair, it made my blood boil. Count Regan had my father\'s outlook on the world, that it was nothing more than something they could control. I hated his thoughts, ideas, and everything else about that bastard... Of course my father always had full faith in the Count\'s words. Count Regan could probably get anything he wished. I guess I always feared that he might one day want,... my Altair. I will always see him as my competition...*
