Chapter 1
Note to reader\'s: Still Seaking a beta reading, if you want the job e-mail me at: YamiYugiGal@comcast.net Sorry for the delay on this chapter, been having problems thinking of how to go about this one, as it\'s been ages since I wrote male/female smut.
The end of summer was drawing to a close, and with it, the start of fall and a new school year to face. For Ryo Kenjitaki, this was her final year at Richmond High School. She was excited beyond words. Come the last week of August, she’d be walking down those hallways, as if she owned them, as well as her fellow seniors. Life couldn’t get any better then it was. Well, it would be excellent if Sano would ask her to the homecoming dance. She and Sano had been best friends since the beginning of their freshmen year. Sano had been living in California most of his life, but his father had chosen to move to Michigan and open a new dojo, one that introduced more of the Japanese style methods of battle combat.
Sano had even managed to get her to join him at the dojo everyday after school, to workout. She was a hard worker, no matter the obstacle; she would see it through to the very end. She was quite capable of hand to hand combat. Down to the art of the Japanese sword, and good with a jo. The jo, is a long staff. Back in the era of the samurai, this weapon contained small metal spears at the end. It was a combined length of two or perhaps three long Japanese katana. She was good with it, but not all that great. Sano on the other hand was a true pro at the jo. He was so good at it, that his father had allowed him to teach a class of it, which allowed him to make a few extra dollars on the side. Once school began, he’d only be teaching two classes a week, one on Monday at six o’clock, and the other on Wednesday six o’clock. Both classes were in the evenings. This way it left him time to study, and still go out and have some fun.
Not many of Sano’s students had bothered to attend class today. Most of them had called in sick, or with some excuse to say, they weren’t able to make it. It really had yanked his goat, but the seven students, who bothered to show themselves, got to enjoy some homemade Japanese rice ball. All made by Mrs. Hardra’s very own hands, in the kitchen. However, in result to this, they spent more time sacking, and then working on improving their jo skills. This was a plus side to the whole thing though; he was still being paid for teaching the little imps to do absolutely nothing.
“You know Sano, sulking isn‘t your thing to do.” Ryo commented to her friend, as she sat on the polished floorboards of the dojo, watching her friend mope over the lack of attention his students were offering him.
Hazel eyes drifted over to set on Ryo, studying her over, like she’d do something to him. Then again, it wouldn’t be the first time she’d attacked him. “I‘ll be sure to remember that, but why are you so relaxed over their?” He questioned eyeing Ryo even more closely now.
A shrug was his response to his question. The snickers across the room caused Sano to look away from his friend and to his students. “What‘s so funny?” He asked in a calm tone of voice.
“You love Ryo!” Tom blurted out in a fit of laughs, a few more to follow his own.
A raven brow arched at the comment. He’d done this tango once before with them, and decide to humor the runts. “Who says I‘m in love with her? She’s just a good friend, that’s all.” Was his calm reply, yet again.
“We all do! We see you looking at her all the time.” Kenny pointed out.
The next comment was to be the one that rattled his cage. “That and you check her out more when she‘s wearing her mini kimono uniform!” Frank supplied with an evil grin spreading across his face.
Sano’s face turned beat red at that comment and looked over to find Ryo, trying to keep a straight face, but she broke into a fit go laughs.
“So this outfit is your favorite Sano? I‘ll wear it to the Homecoming dance then!” Ryo giggled, her giggles sounded more like snorts, then anything else.
That was all it took. Sano was on his feet in an instant and chased his seven students around the polished floor of the dojo room. “When I get my hands on you guys, you‘ll wish you‘d never learned how to speak!” he roared, as he chased them outside into the warm humid air.
Ryo sat on the floor throughout this entire fiasco, howling with laughter. The look on her friends face was just far too priceless! Yet it presented her with some hope, that Sano did pay extra attention to her. ‘I’ll have to ask Frank what else he may know.’ She thought to herself as a silly grin spread across her face.
Sano’s angry shouts could be heard around the entire house. Theirs was an all but familiar house. This was an all but, familiar ritual which the boys and their sensei did. Today the boys might be lucky if they got off with a scolding. Otherwise they’ll be stuck doing various exercises outside in the muggy weather. Though, it was very unlikely he’d make them work in 95 degree heat.
Mrs. Hardra opened the shojo doors into the room, and looked around with a frown on her face. Looking around with her own hazel eyes, she located Ryo in the corner reading over her list of classes for school. “Is Sano chasing those poor kids around?” She asked moving over to Ryo, and poured some lemonade into empty glass.
“Thanks Kizumi.” Ryo smiled brightly at her friend’s mother, and took the offered glass, of the fresh beverage. She watched as Kizumi poured herself some as well, and ended up sitting on the floor beside her.
“What classes are you taking this year?” The older woman questioned, as she looked over to Ryo’s paper, she’d moved to the middle of them to see.
Glancing up from the list of her classes for the year, Ryo let Kizumi take it to read over it. “Creative Writing for half the year, and then Contemporary Thought for the other half of my English credit. My other classes for the rest of the year are Advanced Creative Video, and four hours down at Pankow. Classes I‘m taking again are, Web Design, and Visual Basic Imaging.” Pride in Ryo’s tone, about getting good classes for her last year as a Senior in High School. Though the only reason she was so excited was because at Pankow she learned things, where’s at Richmond you learned nothing. She’d begun to lose count of how many times the school district had failed to meet requirements on some things.
“Sano has three hours down at Pankow, he‘s taking that Auto class again. He was muttering today about not having to work in manuals anymore.” Kizumi laughed softly, letting Ryo have her class list back. “So, do I get to expect more interesting movies from the two of you, in your Creative Video Class?” Kizumi couldn’t help, but allow the grin to spread across her face. She loved the videos her son and Ryo made for the past three years. They’d made movies from objects, clay, people, to small stick movie cartoons.
“Of course!” Ryo laughed whole heartedly. “I think Mr. Simon said something about a mini twenty minute movies, and we also had to create a script for it. I know we also have to do some type of green screen for specials effects. Sano and I have discussed doing our own version of Stargate Sg-1. We‘ve got the script almost complete, but need to figure out who we can get to play some of the parts and do our camera shoots while we act. As Mr. Simon said we had to be in it for some spots, or extra credit if we are in it for the whole thing.” Ryo concluded, as she tucked the envelope into her pocket containing some other school stuff she needed her guardian to sign and fill out.
“Stargate? That‘s the show with the O‘Niell guy right?” A nod was Kizumi’s response. “Oh! Who is going to play him? I love that man from the series, well, what I have seen of it.” The older female added thoughtfully.
The two of them laughed, life was good. Ryo and Kizumi spoke of their favorite Stargate SG-1 epodidoes, all the way to what they thought would happen in the current season. One thing about Kizumi was that, she was never a burning person. She was only 31, but was keen on knowing, what the kids of today liked, and didn’t like. Sano loved his mother deeply and would do anything she needed. Well, almost anything, but he loved her none the less. Ryo for the past three and half years considered her a replacement mother. When Ryo was seven her parents had been on a plane heading to New York for their Anniversary when a bomb went off, killing everyone instantly on the plane. She’d ended up living with her mother’s friend, Cassie. The woman was kind to her, but could not really fill in the role of a mother or parent. She was more like a big sister, or cool Aunt. Kizumi was the closest thing she’d had to a mother, after all of these years.
“Well, I best go begin dinner, are you staying for super?” Kizumi asked as she rose to her feet.
She thought a moment. “Today’s Wednesday, so it‘s pizza and Dance Dance Revolution night. Sano and I have been itching to hit the arcades at Berrymore’s. We‘ve made it to the semi-finale rounds for the Dance Dance Revolution, battle.” A grin couldn’t help but, spread out across her features.
“Oh my, your right, I completely forgot all about that. Looks like Sano‘s father and myself can go out to dinner then. I‘ve been wanting to go into Greek Town and have some fancy meal.” A faint twinkle could be detected n the older woman’s hazel eyes, but it was funny. Kizumi could be a bit of a child sometimes. Rising from the floor she moved around the dojo, and began to gather up the dirty dishes, piling them all on a tray to take inside and wash.
“I think he will, he looked like he was ready to flee when I arrived.” Ryo chuckled, and stood to help Kizumi out with all of the dirty plates and cups. “You should just offer them paper plates and Styrofoam cups, Zumi.” She chided, in a playful tone.
“Oh I know, I should, but I like to get on my husband and son‘s students good sides. They always give me all the good dirt on those two.” She laughed.
“Oh, I know exactly what you mean. That one boy Frank is a good one to get information out of. He‘s the reason Sano‘s chasing them all around currently.” To prove this point, she pointed outside where Sano and the boy’s ran by.
“Bet back here you little maggots! I‘m going to toss you in the pond!” Sano threatened the laughing boys, as they vanished from Sano’s view around a corner, their laughs and Sano’s shouts soon dyeing away again. They had to have been on their fifth lap around the house by now.
“Oh my, what did little Frank say this time to get Sano so ruffled up?” Came the concerned motherly hen voice of Kizumi.
“Oh just that he‘s always looking at me, and seems to like it more when I wear my skimpy looking kimono outfit.” Ryo said in an all too innocent tone of voice.
“Who wouldn‘t want a piece of you in that? You look beautiful in it. Besides, I think if my son had it his way, you‘d be wearing that thing everyday.” Both women laughed at that, finding it funny to think of Sano doing such orders.
“I think he‘d roll over happy if I came out and announced that. The only reason I wear this thing, is because it‘s easy to move around in when I spar.” Ryo shrugged, not really understanding why she did find this outfit to be so nice to move about in.
“Yes, you seem to have a point. Then again, you do have the body for it.” Kizumi teased playfully.
“Why thank you kindly, K-Chan.” Ryo said, as she offered the older woman a mock bow, supplied with a southern accent.
Finally Kizumi left. Allowing Ryo to finish cleaning the dojo room up. Their really wasn’t that much to do. The floor would need to be cleaned, but that could be done tomorrow. Though, she didn’t see why she worried about it. That was Sano’s job. Looking around the now clean dojo room, she made her way to the door, to head outside.
Sano and the boy’s were over by the pond. All of them soaked. From the looks of things, Sano had failed to get one of the boys in the water, and in the end had been pushed in, from behind. The scene in it’s self was pretty funny. From what Ryo could tell, Sano would make a great father later on in life. Though, for some odd reason, she felt he may never get to experience what it’s like to be a parent.
She sometimes wondered why she thought of such things, it was funny really. She wanted a family, but yet another part of her told her it was never met to be. Ryo didn’t even understand why she was having such thoughts, she knew she loved Sano, but there was no way she’d admit to it anytime soon. No matter how much she hoped he would be the first one to make the move this year during their Senior year, she felt he might not even make it. He would most likely avoid her like the plague when it came to the dances. Homecoming was to be the first one, followed by mini dances,
Snowcoming, and then in May Prom. A dance she intended to go to, she’d started looking for designs on the perfect dress, and had settled her eyes on a beautiful looking Chinese dress, she just needed to have Kizumi help her finding the right fabric’s, and whatever else she might need to import from Japan, to make it.
“Sensei! Come on! Stop!” Two of the boy‘s wailed pathetically, in hopes their sensei would release them from his grasp.
Sano looked down at the tow boys he had by the hair and paused, looking thoughtful, as he debated to let them go. “Oh sure, why not!” He watched the relief flow across their features, and grinned, “I‘ll let you go after I get to do this.” Without further warning, he plummeted their heads down into the cool waters of the pond.
The boys sitting on the grass laughed at Frank and Robert who had been the ones to push their sensei in from behind. They were just glad they didn’t have to run anymore, all of them tired out from making five or six full laps around the house in order to avoid Sano’s wrath. They often wondered if Sano was a woman in disguise. Once could never be sure, he had the mood swings of a pregnant woman, although Ryo was often never too far behind him on that. Frank and Robert soon surfaced the water gasping for air, having been held under for awhile by Sano, but they were used to it. Once their oaf of a sensei allowed them to be free, they swan to the small bit of sand and grass and sank down on it to relax.
“Sano sensei, why do you have to be a baka half the time?” Robert asked, watching their sensei slowly make his way over to his female friend.
“I‘m older and more superior to you imps, so I can get away with being a complete baka.” That was all he offered them as he sat on the sand now beside Ryo. “Did you happen to see what time it was?” He asked, looking to his friend, trying to prevent his eyes from wandering down his friend’s long legs.
“Last I checked, it was 3:30, and we need to leave by 4:30, if we‘re to beat traffic heading to CJ‘s. Otherwise we‘ll be stuck in rush hour. You care if I go shower off really quick? Not like a shower matter’s as I’ll just be all hot and sticky again, at the arcades.” Getting up she brushed the sand off her rear, and stopped realizing she was in the presence of males.
Falling into the grass he sighed, and shut his eyes, having forgot it was Wednesday for a moment. “Sure, I‘ll see the imp army off.” He opened his eyes hearing someone sitting up and paused, going beat red as he found himself with a nice view of Ryo’s undergarments from her short kimono. “Oh god!” He cried out rolling away from her and right back into the pond water, and came up spitting out water, choking on it, having seen something he shouldn’t have. His face was entirely flushed, he liked Ryo, but seeing her pink silk panties was way too much. “Don‘t stand up so close to me! I didn‘t want to see London and France, and the Japanese Queen‘s panties!” He all but screeched.
Arching a brow in interest at Sano she grinned evilly, “Not my problem you’re a pervert and have a fetish for looking up girl‘s kimono‘s.” She tisked her friend.
“Hey! I‘ll have you know I‘m no pervert! You missy, are just an evil seducer of men!” He countered.
Looking over her shoulder at her friend who was currently sitting up to his waist in waster she cast him a saucy look, that would make any man go into a trance, “I‘m so glad you noticed.” She seemed to purr, with a wink she set off to the house to go wash up and get ready for the arcade.
Sano watched her in silence, finding the alluring sway of Ryo’s hips very hypnotic. He didn’t know why, but there were times in his life where he felt like they had both done these things before. Done this talk of bickering, playful arguing on who was what, and such. That and a hidden part of him he rarely let anyone know about got jealous when he saw another hitting on Ryo. It was like before they were born she’d been marked just for him, and not another soul, he wondered if Ryo felt the same way for him at all. The thought it’s self was really nuts, but he couldn’t help, but find it to start becoming more, and more true.
With a sigh he got up from the water and headed up to the dojo to make sure his students were seen safely off to their parents. He lifted an arm and caught a bad wiff of body odor. “I‘ll have to make sure to put on a lot of deodorant before I leave for the Dance Dance Revolution match.” He told himself, trying to block out the sweat smell, and smell of the pond. He didn’t know why, but every time you came out of the pond you smelt like a turtle.
Ryo entered the main part of the house through the backdoor, and found Kizumi in the kitchen cleaning the dishes up, scolding Mr. Harada for trying to get into the fresh cookies she’d just baked. Nothing in this house ever ceased to amaze her. Taking a left down one of the hallways she headed upstairs to Sano’s room to get her bag which contained a change of clothes in it. She’d learned to always bring an extra set of clothing when she was messing around here at her friend’s place. Either way, she looked at it like this. It gave her something to do and kept her mind off things.
Making her way into the bathroom, she turned locking the door behind her, and took a glance at herself in the mirror, she was covered in a faint layer of sweat from her own workout earlier that day, but it had been worth it to get in some more practice, as Senior year was said to be the busy one. Then again also the year to slack off, and not want to work on a single thing. “I’m just glad after this year I’ll be done and free to do as I please.” She said to her reflection. Looking to the shower she moved over to it, pushing the curtain aside and turned the water to the correct temperature of her liking, once she found a temperature suitable to her liking she began to remove her workout kimono. Once she had removed her items, she stepped into the shower, and allowed the hot water to cascade down her naked body, cleansing it of all the dirt and grime that had collected throughout the day. However as she stood there she could not help, but allow her mind to wander. The thundering of the water was so calming; she did not understand why it was so soothing, even as the hot water droplets hit her naked flesh. She found her mind starting to wander further into her subconscious mind.
Warm hands were wrapped around her, holding her body tightly to the firm figure behind her, her back pressing into the solid form of what had to be a male. They were hiding in the forest under a large old willow tree, waiting out the rain. Both of them soaked to the bone, due to the down pour. The garments they wore an old style of Japanese clothing. Weapons that they carried lay beside them on the ground.
She felt a head resting on her shoulder, long soaked hair that fell over her shoulder’s, belonging to the other dripped down her already soaked haoi jacket. Warm hand moved to encircle her waist more, in some vain attempt to keep warm despite the harsh storm that was continuing to slowly worsen.
“We should keep going, the others will start to get worried if we don’t return soon.” A voice mumbled in her ear.
“True, if my father doesn’t send some of his men to find us, Shinji and Okita will surely come after us with half the army at their dispose.” She joked, and leaned further back into the warm embrace, enjoying the solitude currently.
“That’s if Okita and Shinji can pull themselves off one another.” The voice teased.
“Another good point, but maybe we should stop talking about everyone else and head back to the encampment before we get sick.” Ryo supplied, going to leave the warm embrace, but found the arms wouldn’t remove themselves. “Hey come on, let go you big oaf, I’m soaked and I want to go home and warm up.” She began to complain as he struggled.
A light chuckle was heard in her ear causing her to shiver, “I think I know just the way to warm you up.” Not allowing his female companion a chance to think of what was going on, a warm set of lips locked on her neck. Teasing the soft silken flesh with his tongue, managing to entice a moan from his lover. A hand coming up to cup one of her firm breasts squeezing it in a teasing manner through the soaked cloth. “I want to make love to you Ryo Kenshin, I want you as my wife forever.” Came soft whispered words of love, longing and affection.
She could not believe this feeling, it felt so wonderful. The lips on her neck that teased her sensitive skin caused her body to slowly grow warmer then what it was, making the cold seem as if it were nothing, but a faint figment of her imagination. “S..Sano.” She stammered for her words, finding just the faint touches of his hands to be pleasant. A faint gasp slipped from her lips as he cupped her right breast with his calloused hand teasing the hard nub through the soaked fabric. She had always wanted Sano, to do this to her, ever since the day she’d met him four years ago. However due the rain their actions could not progress further here. Managing to turn around in his arms, she pushed her lips to his in a fierce kiss of her own, her smaller calloused hands tangling up in the usual rat nest of hair.
Their tongue’s battled in a fight for dominance, Sano managing to easily win that war, as he plundered his lover’s mouth mercilessly, loving her taste, the soft texture of her lips on his. He wanted to taste the rest of her body, claim it for himself. He could picture spending his life with nobody else but her. Pulling his lips only inches away from her’s, brown chocolate orbs looked into her eyes, searching for an answer, “Please say you will become my wife.” He whispered, still holding her close.
A rare smiled spread across her face, as she reached out to touch Sano’s face, “Yes, I will.” Leaning forward she placed a soft kiss on Sano’s lips; however before it could turn into more, she pulled back a little to look him in the eyes. “We should head back now, I’m sure we’ve wasted enough time here in the rain.”
“Hun, I hardly doubt a few more minutes would hurt.” He murmured softly, and leaned in to place a kiss on her lips once more, but before those warm lips could even touch her’s, Ryo snapped out of her day dream to find herself alone in the shower upstairs. The unwelcoming sound of Sano’s fist banging on the door to ask her if she was okay.
“Hey, Ryo! It’s been an hour, you nearly done in their yet?” Sano called, worried she might have fallen and hit her head in the shower.
A groan escaped her lips as she could feel the heat between her thighs, knowing she didn’t have much time to tend to her personal matters at the moment, she turned the warm water to a colder temperature to try and get her sexual needs at bay. “Yeah! I’ll be out in 10 minutes!” She called and moved to quickly rinse out her hair, and wash off herself.
She did however find her mind drifting back to the little day dream she’d had of herself and Sano, and couldn’t help, but shake the feeling she lived that moment a long time ago, but their was no way that Sano in her dreams was the same shy Sano she knew now. “I guess my sexual fantasies of having him all, but offer sex to me outside in a down pour is getting to me.” She told herself in a joking manner, and allowed the water to rinse off the soap she’d rubbed on herself, leaving it’s lavender scent locked into her skin.
Reaching for the knobs she turned the water off, pushing the lever down to stop the shower water from further flowing on her. A slightly tanned arm crept from the shower curtains and pulled the blue bath towel back into the shower. Drying herself of the access water Ryo tied the towel around her naked form, and reached up to rinse out her soaked hair, ringing it out till it was at least semi dry, she stepped on the bathmat and looked at the foggy mirror and used a dry towel to reveal her reflection, and hurried with brushed her hair out. She didn’t have time to dry it at the moment and personally saw it as a waste of time. She’d just be busy sweating later at the arcade once they got there.
Combing out her hair out till the tangles were gone she wasted no time in tying it up in a high ponytail to keep it out of her face when she and Sano hit the dance mats to the DDR game. Looking around she picked up her underwear and slipped those one quickly, followed by her belle bottom pants, black sports bra, and a tank top with noodle straps, and a Japanese print in it of a Japanese kitsune playing around on a grassy bed covered in pink cherry blossoms.
“Ryo! Hurry up. We’ll never beat the traffic at this rate, if you keep going at this slug pace!” Sano complained banging on the door again to awaken his friend from her day dream.
“Hold on I’m almost done!” She shouted, slipping on her socks, and moved to the door struggling to get her left foot in her shoe in the process, and opened the bathroom door. Not paying any attention Sano was their she ended up barreling right into him.
Sano was about to bang on the door again, but found Ryo had beaten him to it and barely got in anything as his friend plowed into him. Without thinking, his arms wrapped around her to prevent her from hurting herself, and shut and gritted his teeth as he landed hard on the floor, his ass taking most of the impact. “You forget how to walk?” He asked, letting go of her and reached under him to rub his sore rump.
Ryo went wide eyed as she began to fall forwards, but was relieved somewhat when the arms of her friend embraced her, and Sano took the impact of the whole fall. “Sorry Sano, but I was trying to get my shoes on, and hurry at the same time…Guess you shouldn’t stand in the middle of a closed door from now on?” She joked, and sat up, getting herself off her friend, and stood offering him a hand to get back up on his feet.
“Yeah, you got a point.” He smiled, and took the offered hand and got back up on his feet and brushed himself off.
Ryo allowed her eyes to take in Sano own outfit, and found him decked out in a pair of loose black pants, old worn black sneakers that looked like they had seen their days. A silk t-shirt with a yin-yang on it, and two dragon’s on it. One black, and one white, both of them appearing to be fighting. “Like the shirt, when did you get it?” She asked, moving down the stairs already.
“My dad got it for me last Sunday. He knows my fetish for the yin-yang stuff.” Sano said as he followed after Ryo, reaching into his pant pocket he checked to make sure he had his wallet and counted out to see just how much he had, and tucked it back into his pants, however pulled out his keys to his black, Ford 2001 truck. It had been an early graduation present for him, as he had complained and protested he was not taking the bus this year for his Senior year of high school. “Mom, dad, Ryo and I are leaving!” He shouted, opening the door as Ryo stopped to make sure she had what she needed.
“You two have a good time!” Mr. Hardra shouted from the kitchen.
“Oh we will, don’t steal anymore of mom’s cookies, I want some too!” Sano shouted as he followed Ryo outside, shutting the house door behind him as he did.
Ryo moved over to Sano’s truck and opened the passenger side and slipped in, and sat down on the towel that was placed on the leather seats. They’d gone to the beach about a month ago, and Sano had not bothered to keep anything on the seats, the minute they’d sat on them, they’d regretted it. The seats had been so hot they had to go and dig in their beach bags for their soaked towels to sit on, or it would have been a 35 minute ride glued to the leather seats of Sano’s truck from Port Huron, to Richmond.
“Ready to go?” Sano asked, as he slipped inside, and started the truck up, and slipped in his X Japan, Blueblood CD, turning up his favorite song X.
“Ready as I’ll ever be.” Ryo grinned, and slipped her seatbelt on, still not trusting Sano’s driving skills yet.
Slipping on his own seatbelt Sano nodded, and pulled his gear shift down into drive and headed off to chesterfield. “Say Ryo?”
Ryo looked up from her thoughts, “Yeah?” She asked, looking at him.
“Think you could help chip in for gas?” He asked, innocently.
Ryo arched a brow. “I told you, you should have gotten a car, cars don’t suck gas up like these trucks and suburban do.” She nagged.
“Hey, I blame the high gas prices all on that loser Bush.” He countered.
“Gee, I could have told you that myself.” Ryo snorted in amusement, and reached over sticking a five dollar bill down her friend’s shirt.
Sano chuckled and pulled the five out of his shirt and stuck it in his ash tray where he hid most of his spare money and change, for when he needed it. “Thanks.” He said, and sat back in his seat, for the ride to Chesterfield.
