Chapter 2: Preparations
Odin awoke to a warm breeze blowing through the window of his room. His blond hair hung in front of his face, not spiked yet, still messy. He rose slowly, letting the sun warm him and wash away the sleep of the night before. He pushed his long hair away from his face, revealing the small scar on his cheek. A woman lay on the bed, her short brown hair covering her beautiful face. Odin looked her way, laying his hand on her bare back, savoring the feel of her smooth skin. He ran his hand up and down her back, until she turned and held his hand in hers, kissing his palm. He brushed his hand against her cheek, and then leaned in and kissed her softly.
\"Good morning.\" she said.
\"Morning, Nadai.\" Odin replied.
Such love is thought impossible by some humans, but the love between these two was unbreakable, and so plentiful, that sometimes Odin could swear he was being drowned in it. He kissed her again, more lovingly this time, and gently whispered into her ear:\"You\'re so beautiful.\"
\"You always seem to hand out compliments at random moments, why is that?\" she asked.
\"Because I love you so much, I guess.\" Odin answered.
Nadai giggled softly, and rose from the bed, not caring about the falling blankets that now revealed her small breasts, and held him close.
\"I only wish that the war wasn\'t coming.\" she said, holding him tighter.
Fear filled him then, his every thought suddenly went to how much he would do to protect her from the demons that would be coming. He gently pulled her away and stared into her deep brown eyes.
\"I will do anything to protect you...\" he said.
\"It\'s alright, Odin. But it\'s not me you should really worried about.\" she said, pressing his hand against her stomach.
A gentle kick revealed what he had suspected.
\"You\'re...........pregnant?!\" he said, trying to mask his joy and fear.
She nodded happily, a tear gathering in her right eye. Odin\'s face was suddenly marked with a wide smile, and his joy nearly overflowed.
\"I\'m so happy!\" he said.
They embraced, their joy melding together, and their hearts beat faster. Odin could hear hers, and it always brought him joy to hear that familiar \"thump thump\" of her heart, but now he could hear another\'s, a softer, quieter heartbeat. He pressed his ear to her stomach, and felt the baby\'s kick touch his face. He kissed Nadai\'s stomach, and then her forehead, tears welling up in his eyes.
\"How long have you had this child?\" Odin asked.
\"I don\'t know, I only realized it last night when I felt it kick.\" she answered.
Odin held his hand to her stomach, feeling the baby move. Angel children developed differently from human children. Human children had to be some months developed before their movements could be felt, but Angel children could be felt after only a day or so, an Angel child resided in it\'s mother\'s womb for only three months, which some Angel women were thankful for.
\"I won\'t let anything happen to you or the baby, I promise.\" Odin said.
Nadai could not find the words to describe how his oath made her feel, so she just leaned in and kissed him, embracing him once again...
In Oharas\' Sanctuary
Oharas inspected his swords, looking over every inch, checking for spots of dust or patches of rust on the swords. But he found nothing, nothing could harm his blades, and he knew it, but checking made him feel somewhat more secure. Rianna watched him from the bed as he polished his blades and hummed a hymn of power and cast the spell on the blades. He looked over the armor hanging on a rack in the room, the red plate-armor that he adored so much. There wasn\'t a single scratch on it, and it conveyed a sense of power, and that was rightly so, for Oharas had used some of his own blood to strengthen it. Oharas walked away from his armor, and opened up a small book that rested on a table by the bed. A sword hung above it, and he pulled it down, un-sheathing it. He pulled a pen from his pocket, and touched it to the sword, drawing demon blood from it into the pen.
The sword that Oharas had pulled from its stand was legendary. When used, it would devour the soul and blood of the creature it killed, and Oharas had stored a limitless amount of demon blood within it, and the book he now held was his own diary, all of it written in the blood of the demons he had killed. Oharas scribbled down a few words before turning to see the man standing in the doorway.
\"Hello, father.\" the man said.
\"Ahh, my son. Good to see you.\" Oharas said.
The man in the doorway was none other than John himself, his left hand resting on the hilt of the sword tied to his hip.
So typical of him, Oharas thought, to always have at least one hand on one of the swords I forged for him, at least he appreciates my work.
\"I see you\'ve been enjoying yourself.\" John said, noting Oharas\' brides on the bed, all huddled together, missing their clothing.
Rianna waved at him, covering herself and the others with the blankets.
\"When was it your business what goes on in my bedroom.\" Oharas said, jokingly.
Oharas truly was John\'s father. At one point, Oharas and Kia had traveled into the year 1989, using the aid of Astenfel\'s time streaming chamber , and birthed a child, John. They gave him to a human family, mostly to keep the time-stream in good order, but also to test him. For without the cruelty of those humans, he would have never been able to awaken the powers of his Oharan blood. John, however, looked very little like Oharas, only the blood could place them as related. They stopped a foot or so from eachother, and quickly shook eachother\'s hand, smiling.
\"What news do you have?\" Oharas asked, sensing the thoughts in John\'s mind.
\"Nothing you want to hear....\" John replied.

Abbacus had been at Adrienne\'s shrine for well over a day. He was hungry, he felt weak, but he needed to be here. He whispered a hymn, and bowed his head, half in weakness, half in respect. His eyes were bloodshot, his arms ached, he had held them up in prayer for many hours, the muscles seared with pain.
\"Adonai, cosa due naterrosse Adrienne.\" Abbacus whispered in Oharan.
Translated, he had said:\"Adonai, protect my dear love Adrienne.\". This was the prayer he said every night and every morning. His sorrow was so deep for her, that he was known to cut his wrists and spill his blood on the shrine, hoping it would be taken as an offering. Abbacus had shed all of his Hellspawn blood upon the shrine, thus, purifying him of evil. That was the only advantage however, he still missed her, more than ever now, and it tortured him.
\"I\'m sorry I couldn\'t save you...both of you....\" Abbacus whispered, wishing that Adrienne and her baby could hear him.
He rose slowly, aching all over his body. He bathed, and dressed himself in a white shirt, and a blue pair of pants, exiting his chambers, heading toward Odin\'s mansion, hoping to pay his good friend a visit.
\"I just hope I don\'t catch those two together, that would be awkward.\" Abbacus said, walking a bit slower to admire the view of Heaven through the windows that ran up and down the hall.
**********************************************
Onatu ran a cloth up and down his sword, brushing away the dust that had accumulated on it in the past months. His brown eyes stared at the etching along the blade, the words carved into it in rune said: \"For the glory of Heaven, for the protection of the innocent.\" He turned his sword over, and polished it once again. After finishing this duty, he held the sword up and admired it, he thought of it as the greatest katana ever made, next to Oharas\' perfect swords, though Onatu\'s katana was a zweihander type, well over five feet long, and it was known to cut through some of the strongest metals, and not a single dent was found on the blade.
\"Oharas\' magic has worked well.\" Onatu said.
Onatu was the fifth \"Oharan\", while Oharas was the sixth. There had been five universes before this, and each one had a savior of sorts, an Oharas. Each one had a different name, Odin was the first, Cungole the second, Marriel the third, Rattuku the fourth, and Onatu the fifth. Unfortunately, each Oharan was meant to destroy all creation with a burst of power meant to strike down an enemy. Oharas had changed this, and brought the other Oharans to this universe, giving them a home in Heaven. Onatu, unlike the others, was the only Oharan to not have a partner, but that was not his major concern. All Onatu wanted was to fight, to help, to save, that was his duty, and in the war to come, his duty could be fulfilled. But loneliness still filled him, he couldn\'t help but feel sadness, he had never known love, or even had a woman of his own, he needed companionship more than anything else.
\"Well, I should practice a bit, I don\'t want to be killed by a lesser-demon.\" Onatu said to himself.....
***********************************
\"Sinduin is ill, and Nadai is pregnant. The good mixed with the bad, yin and yang. How is Sinduin, anyway? What is wrong with her?\" Oharas asked.
\"We\'re not entirely sure,\" John said, \"it seems to be an odd fever, but there are cuts up and down her arms, almost as if something is attacking her in her sleep.\"
The very thought of this made the bile rise into his throat. The demons were being released, but in what fashion? Would they be released all at once, or would they be released gradually, allowing them to possess and attack the innocents in Heaven, and on Earth. Oharas\' mind was clouded with thoughts, he could not focus. Oharas tugged at his long red hair, trying to pass a thought through his head without getting it wrapped and warped through the other thoughts that had invaded his mind. He ran a finger over the cross-shaped scar on his cheek, bringing back memories of the one who had given him half of the scar: his mother, Lilith. Oharas\' blue eyes almost seemed to glow for a brief moment, but then the light ceased, and the great Angel rested on the end of his bed, waking Kia and Ardousir with the sudden movement, only Jessica remained asleep.
\"I want Odin and Azura stationed at the door to her chamber, and I want Onatu inside........no, wait..........Odin should be inside, she is his sister, have Onatu stationed at the door.\" Oharas said.
\"Yes, father.\" John said in response.
\"We have to be on alert, the demons will do anything to shake us, and we cannot allow that. There is one more thing you must do : find Abaddon, and tell him to train fifty legions of Angels, we\'re taking more into the battle than we originally planned. The first battle will be the day after tomorrow, and we need ready soldiers. Also, find Lucifer, and tell him that I want his special assassins in he battle as well, and that I want them trained...hard. I want their skills honed like the edge of my sword. Do you understand?\" Oharas said.
\"Yes father, I do.\" John replied.
\"I apologize for giving you such orders, but we\'ll need this, and I have work to do, I must look over my clan, I have a feeling that the joys of Zion have dulled their fighting edge. I will make sure we are prepared for this.\" Oharas spoke strongly.
\"At what cost?\" a deep voice said.
It was Lucifer, Oharas\' older brother, and second in power. His black hair almost had a gloss with it to match his coal-black eyes and black leather vest, he was truly a black angel. The two brothers faced eachother, and then resumed the conversation.
\"We simply need to make sure that none of our warriors are not ready, this new breed of demons that Sin promised is said to be able to kill twelve Angels with the sweep of a sword, we must be cautious.\" Oharas said.
\"Agreed, while I don\'t trust Sin at all, I would like to be prepared. I\'ve been eavesdropping a while now, and I will have my Angels ready for the battle to come, do not worry. I won\'t let him keep my old title, he won\'t be the Lord of Hell much longer.\" Lucifer said.
\"Good to know, I\'m heading off to the clan sanctuaries to marshal the forces needed, and then we will be able to fight against the demons, thank you Lucifer, your contribution will not go unnoticed. You always come through for us.\" Oharas said as he walked out of the room, spread his wings, and took to the sky.
\"So Luci...\" John began.
\"Don\'t call me Luci, I don\'t care if you are my brother\'s son, I WILL kick your ass.\" Lucifer chuckled.
\"So, uncle, how is Sariel, last I heard she was ill.\" John said.
\"Last you heard was just before she gave birth to my new son, Aktariel.\" Lucifer said, scratching an itch on his left arm.
\"She gave birth?! Oh yes, I remember now, she was pregnant just before my father and I went to Earth to train. Congratulations!\" John said enthusiastically.
Lucifer shook his head and laughed.
\"You two and your training.\" he said.
\"Hey, you were there only six months before us. You know as well as I do that training there is perfect for concentration, the humans revere us Angels, and thus leave us in peace if asked. Other Angels, well, not so much.\" John chuckled.
\"Enough chat, I have work to do.\" Lucifer said abruptly.
Lucifer always seemed to end a conversation before everyone else, and often ended it oddly, suddenly ending it without warning.
\"Very well,\" John said, bowing low, \"tell Sariel that I said hello and give her my best wishes. I have work as well, I should go too.\"
\"And what are you going to be doing?\" Lucifer asked.
\"None of your business.\" John said jokingly.
\"Right, tell Exscelsiya I told you to give her an extra half hour just for me.\" Lucifer said, winking.
\"Smartass.......\" John said as he walked away.
