Chapter two

Mike felt nervous all day. It was going to be full of surprises for him. It was full moon, and a date with Lia. He hoped that he wouldn't get drunk, so he would be able to take her home and after that he would go out of town.

As he finished getting reahe whe went out and headed to the same restaurant where they first met. He sat near a table and waited for Lia to come.

At 7 o'clock Lia entered the restaurant. She was wearing a black dress that had a wide opened neck and was at knee length. Mike feltden den heat rising on his face and body. She smiled at him.

"Hi." She said as she came near the table.

"Hi." Mike stood up and pulled a chair for her to sit. "You look great."

"Thanks." She replied and sat down. Mike sat in his chair.

"How are you?" Lia asked.

"I'm fine. Did you get your results?"

"Yeah, I got "-A"."

"Not bad." He said.

"I hoped for an "A". What about you?"

"I got an "A"." he replied.

"Wow! You sure studied a lot."

"Day and night. As I always do when I'm getting ready for exams."

"Same as me. I didn’t sleep for three days when I was studying for that one, but unfortunately, I didn't get the result I wanted."

"You can do it next time."

"I hope so." She smiled.

Dinner went great for both of them. They drank wine and Mike made sure he didn't drink so much that he wouldn't be able to think.

After a couple of hours they decided to leave. Mike paid the bill and they went out. They walked on the streor aor a while, and Mike carefully took her hand. She felt like the world was hers. Blood rushed to her cheeks. As they walked, Mike forgot about everything. They kept talking all the time about different subjects.

"Wanna see where I live?" Mike asked her.

"Sure. Is it close from here?"

"Yeah." They kept walking until they reached his house.

"It's small, but it look nice from outside."

"My dad built it ten years ago." His voice was sad at that moment.

"Where are your parents?" Lia asked.

"My mother died when I was 10. And my dad died three years ago."

"I'm sorry to hear that." Lia said as she held his hand with both of her hands. Mike looked into her eyes. He saw passion in them that he never saw in the eyes of any girl that he met before.

"Let's go inside." He said. Lia nodded and they went inside the house. They sat in the living room for a while.

"Want something to drink?" Mike asked.

"Yeah."

"How about wine?"

"OK." She replied. Mike got up and brought two glasses and a bottle of red wine.

"Mike, we had white wine at the restaurant. Don't you think it's dangerous to drink a red one now?"

"I don't think so. After all, both of them are wine. I don't think that the color makes difference." He poured the wine in the glasses and handed one to her.

They kept drinking until they finished the bottle. Mike brought another one and they drank it too.

"I feel dizzy." Lia said.

"It will pass. Wanna get some sleep? It will help you."

"I think it'll be better if I go home now."

"OK, but you can stay here if you want." Mike said, feeling dizzy himself.

"No thanks. Maybe some other time?" As she stood she couldn't control herself and was about to fall. Mike quickly caught her.

"You're not going anywhere like that. You won't make it to the door." He picked her up and she rested her head on his shoulder. He carried her to his room and put her on his bed.

"You don't mind if I slept here too?"

"Not at all."

"I don't think I can make it to the living room." He said and lay on the bed next to her.
