Chapter 1
******************************************************
Unlike all the other afternoons at the Royal Academy Of Magic, this one was filled with surprises and danger. The normal calm atmosphere was replaced with panic and piercing warning siren.
\"Where the hell are we going?\" Evelyn screamed at her two friends. As the first-years at the Royal Academy of Magic, Evelyn and her two friends- Lianda and Nafitiri, didn\'t know where the emergency gathering court was.
\"I told you, we should have followed the crowd!\" said Evelyn with her icy blue eyes blazing with anger. She is a petite and pretty girl, with pitch- black hair that flows down her shoulder like a waterfall, skin as soft as the petals of a rose, eyes with the colour of sapphire that seem so out of place yet so attractive with her eastern features and a faint smile that always touches the edge of her lips. Even though she is only a first-year student at the school she is well known amongst the students (males particularly) as the \"Blue Rose of the East\"
\"Trust me! I know exactly where we are going,\" answered Lianda with confidence. Lianda is much taller than Evelyn with curly dark brown hair and a pair beautiful onyx eyes. If Evelyn\' beauty is elegant and quiet, then Lianda\'s beauty would be seductive and devilishly charming.
\"Last time you said so was when you blew up Mr Gando\'s potion Class.\" spat Nifitiri coldly to Lianda. Different to Evelyn and Lianda, Nafitiri was not so beautiful, but this is complemented with her dark eyes that shine with the light of wisdom, her short black hair hanging by the side of her face makes her look, well rather attractive.
\"This time is different, trust me, I know the short cut to the court!\" It\'s evident that her patience was wearing off.
\"You better!\" Evelyn and Nafitiri screamed back in unison.
The girls stopped dead in their tracks as they confronted the reason of all the panics. Near the forbidden forest all the staffs of the school were fighting a dragon that was about 12 feet from toe to the head. Scarlet in colour and breathed blue flame through every breadth he breathed.
\"O.k. that not good, we better run back!\" stuttered Lianda.
\"No, you idiot, that way we will risk of being seeing by that creature!\" said Evelyn.
\"Well, the only thing we could do now is to become invisible, you guys still know how to do that?\" Said Nafitiri. \"Good idea!\" replied the girls
Within a blink the three girls was under the cover of an invisible barrier which successfully hidden they presence.
\"So that\'s why the alarm is going wild. Look some teachers have fainted! Do you think they have a chance against that thing?\" asked Lianda curiously.
\"Doesn\'t look like it, hey Nafitiri, look at that figure lying on the floor, doesn\'t it look like you \"beloved\" Mr Puvy our meditation teacher?\"
\"It is him, my god! We need to help them!\" Nafitiri answered with an anxious tone.
\"Sure! And get ourselves killed, love sure has made you blind\"
\" But.\" Nafitiri\'s words were cut short by a black figure that swept across them.
\"What was that?\" asked Lianda.
The figure in black was now standing in front of the dragon; he raised his hands and mumbled some inaudible spells. Suddenly the earth started to shake and the wind howled it triumph. He waved his hands at the dragon and it was lifted up high in the air, as if picked up by an invisible hand. He clicked his fingers, with a swoosh, the dragon disappeared in mid air. He waved his hands again and all the surroundings were back the way they were, as if though nothing has happened. The figure then bowed his head to the headmaster - Ostagerus, the latter smiled and waved a signal to the teachers to go back into the castle.
\"Whoa! Did you see that, it just vanished, it just vanished. I would love to know how he did that!\" Evelyn thought out aloud to her friends.
\"No time to be amazed, the teachers are coming this way. Quick stand still, and shut up. If we are found we are as good a dead!\"
The teacher went passed the three into the castle without noticing anything odd. When the figure in black passed them, he paused and turned his head towards their hiding place. The three felt as though he was staring right through their barrier and directly onto them. He stood there until all the teachers are out of sight. Then he spoke in a deep yet soothing voice, \"You can come out now.\"
The three looked at each other and blinked. \"Finine,ine, guess there\'s not point to hide in front of you, is there?\" said Evelyn impatiently while dispersing the barrier. \"So are you not going to pull you hood off and let us see the real identity of \"hero\" that saved the school? Or are you too shy?\"
The man laughed. Evelyn felt guiltily as she realise that she actually liked his laughter. When the man pulled down his hood. The girls were stunned by what they saw. Revealed under the dark cloak, the hair, as black the feathers of a crow, the eyes as blue as the deep end of the ocean sharp, his facial feature were sharp and gorgeous. He stood over them liked a statue of Hades - ruler of the underworld - handsome yet dangerous. He leaned over to Evelyn and smirked in satisfaction when the mist of scarlet claimed up her cheek. Only now did Evelyn notice how tall and over-powering the man seemed leaned over her petite form, making her to appear more fragile and vulnerable than ever. \"Look who\'s turn it is to be shy.\" he said in a playful voice. \"Now isn\'t it appropriate to introduce yourselves, so that I would know whom to punish for your ignorance?\"
\"One should always introduce himself first before asking for others\' identity!\" said Evelyn with a bite of arrogance in her voice.
\"Ardis, Ardis Gorinias.\"
