Chapter One- Travellers

Lyid couldn\'t believe his luck. One minute he\'s sitting in a tavern on his way to Yevel city, the next he\'s stuck with two thick-headed, immature teens doing something that he\'d never thought he\'d be doing. He was lookig for a thus thought fairy-tale weapon, with demons hound his ass at every turn in the road. It wouldn\'t be as bad if he had been stuck with two strangers with manners, but noo, he had to be placed with the two most improper people alive.

\"I\'m hungry!\" Blond spikes swaying from side to side, Sparz wrapped his arms around Lyid\'s neck as he whined.

\"Ge\'off me\" Lyid mumbled, pushing the blond haired teen awaom hom him. \"I don\'t care if your hungry, we can\'t eat if we have no food, so be quiet.\"

\"But I\'m hungry!\" Sparz whinned again, stopping in the middle of the dusty road and pouting.

\"Oh shut up, your giving me a headache!\" Shoving aside the blond, even though he could have walked around him, Dodge-Rat gave the youngest of the three travellers a glare.

\"Yah well.......your hair hurts my eyes!\" Sparz shot back, reaching out and giving Dodge\'s six foot long, bright purple, rat-tail a tug.

\"Yaooooooowww!\"Dodge yelled, hands going back to clutch at his mistreated hai\"Do\"Don\'t touch the hair!\" He snarled, turning around to face Sparz, who had a pleased look on his face.

\"Why not?\" The blond asked. \"At the lenght you keep it, it just asks to be pulled.\"

Lyid, who had reluctantly stopped and turned to watch the scene unfolding between the other two, sighed. \'Why me?\' He thought, shaking his head.

Dodge-Rat, mean while, was turning a odd shade of red from shoulders to his pointed ear tips. \"Why I ought to....\"He growled.

\"Both of you ought to shut up and start walking. We\'re miles away from any sort of town, and the more you fight, the longer it\'ll take us to get there.\" Lyid had his arms crossed over his chest, his silver eyes narrowed dangerously. \"If you fight one more time between here and the next twon, l fel feed you both to Sorrel.\" As if to prove his threat, lighting bolts danced across his arms and up his legs.

Dodge went from looking pissed to looking innocent. \"We weren\'t fightin Lyid, we was just......having a loud discussion....right Dragon-Breath?\" Dodge said, looking over at Sparz, who stuck out his tounge at the \'Dragon-Breath\' comment.

\"Yes, we were only playing, Rat-Face\" Sparz said, venom in his voice.

Lyid sighed and shook his head, turning around and starting to walk again. \'Maybe I\'ll let them kill each other next time, it\'ll save me the trouble of putting up with them.\'

Silence fell over the three for awhile, that is, untill a strange, unheard before, sound rised out of one of the three boys. \"Grummbblllleeee!\"

\"Sparz!\" Dodge growled, giving the blond a cross look.

\"It wasn\'t me.......\" The blond looked over at Lyid, who was blushing and looking down at his bare feet.

\"Well, well, well, now isn\'t that something.\" Sparz snickered at Dodge\'s comment, and Lyid blushed a bit more as his stomach rumbled again.

\"Guess I\'m a bit hungry too....heh\" Lyid looked up at Sparz and Dodge, a small smile on his lips.

Both Dodge and Sparz started to laugh wildly, making Lyid frown and send more small lighting bolts dancing over his arms. \"Thats it, you two laugh, I\'m gonna go get myself something to eat.\" In less then a second, Lyid seem to disapate from veiw, leaving both of his companions standing shocked on the road.

\"Man, I hate it when he does that.......\"Dodge mumbled while Sparz was looking around, trying to find where Lyid had gotten to.

\"Does what? What did he do? How\'d he do that?\" While Dodge had known Lyid for two weeks now, Sparz had only joined up with the group thdaysdays ago.

Dodge shrugged and sat down on the road. \"I dunno, he just goes \'poof\' and your stuck waiting for him to \'unpoof\'.\" Dodge sighed aemovemoved a few small daggers from under a yellow sash he wore over his black shirt.

Sparz raised an eyebrow. \"You mean to tell me he can teleport? I though only demons can transmit themselves to other places.\" He asked, sitting down aswell.

Dodge shrugged. \"He doesn\'t teleport, he moves fast is all, r something like that. And can\'t Draygin\'s do that too, Dragon-Breath?\"

Sparz frowned. \"Stop calling me that! And how should I know, I\'m only 1/3 Draygin, I can\'t do anything they can.\" Sparz said in a cold tone.

Dodge didn\'t say anything back, just doodled pictures in the road with his daggers, waiting for Lyid to return. After a few minutes, there was a rustling sound in the bushes beside the road and Lyid walked out of them with an arm load of red fruits.

\"Lunch anyone?\" He asked, dropping down into a sitting position and laying the fruits infront of him. \"I got enough for us all.\"

\"Yah, you rock Lyid!\" Sparz exclaimed, snatching up as many of the fruit as he could grab. Dodge followed the example, but was nice enough to leave some fruit for Lyid.

\"So, where are we going anyways?\" Sparz asked between bite of fruit. \"I mean, I know where we\'re going over all, but do you guys know where this road goes to?\"

Lyid, how was eating very slowly, shrugged his shoulders some, his long, several shades of orange, hair falling over them at the movement. \"I heard that it goes to a smalwn cwn call Sivet, but I\'m not sure. I\'m not from this Kingdom.\"

Dodge smiled. \"Your right, it is Sivet, I went there once when I heard it was full of easy to steal stuff.\" He said, finishing his fifth red-fruit and tossing the pit over his shoulder.

Sparz frowned, and Lyid sighed. \"No stealing while were there, please Dodge-Rat, and you-\" Lyid looked over at Sparz. \"No bounty hunting or fight starting.\"

\"But Lyid!!!!\"The two teens whined in usion.

\"No butts, we need to keep a low profile untill we\'re a bit farther away from the Lords castle, we don\'t want to be dragged back to him in chains.\" Lyid said in a stern tone, finishing his first and only fruit.

Lyid stood up and motioned for the others to do so, the food was all eaten and they should start off again. Like normal, Lyid walked a bit ahead of Dodge-Rat and Sparz, but this time, it wasn\'t agruing the two were doing.

\"Is he always like this?\" Sparz asked in a hushed voice.

Dodge nodded. \"He\'s always bossy, and he acts like he\'s smarter then me........\" He replied.

Sparz frowned. \"Thats just great.....Did you see how much he eat? Maybe thats his problem, he needds to eat more!\" He suggested.

Dodge shook his head no. \"Lyid doesn\'t eat much at all, not since I\'ve known him. And don\'t ever offer meat to him, he gets pissy, and gets his Thundagar Beast to zap you.\" He warned, voice barely a wisper.

Sparz looked shocked. \"He doesn\'t eat meat? Man, he is one weird dude...\"
