I went up to my room and was greeted by a hugging Daniel. "Where were you?! Do you have ANY idea of how worried we were???!!" "I'm sorry!" "So where were you?" Raphael had showed up. "We saw you come here with that vampire?", Daniel questioned. "Ah, yes.. eh.. That vampire by the way; it's Iselin..." They both widened their eyes at this. "THE Iselin?", Daniel cried, "The Johanne and Iselin, Iselin?" "Yes." "So that's what happened to her..." "How could you not know?", I asked Raphael. "How could I know?", he questioned back. "I mean... You see so much, and you know about who she is, but you didn't know she was a vampire?" "Well... when a human becomes vampire.. They look different. They lose their souls. I tell by the soul who you are." "But you can still tell one from another?" "Well, they don't look the same.. And their powers are distinguishing." "Does... does... demons... " Do demons have souls I wished to know. "No."

My heart sank. "So where were you?! We couldn't see you!" Daniel jumped down on the bed. "I was with Darien.." "... oh..." Daniel sent Raphael a certain look and I hit him with a pillow. "No, you pervo! Nothing like that!" I sat down next to him. Time to break the news... "I'm pregnant." O_O God, how I laughed at their faces.....! "I'm going to leave with Vaan." "Okey, cut the jokes!" "It's not a joke this time." Raphael started yelling, "Live with Vaan?! How can that be anything but a joke?!" "No no no!!! Not live, leave!" Raphael shut up for a second, then he started yelling again, "What? When? How? No! That’s stupidity! I knew you would try something desperate, but no! You said you were gonna stay here with us! You're not leaving with him!" Daniel also took part in yelling me out, "You're gonna get killed, Helle! How do you think leaving with Vaan can help you in any way? You think he will give up Asami just like that? That’s signing under for your own death!" "But.. there's no other way I can get close to Asami!" Raphael went down on his knees in front of me and held on to my hand, "Please, Helle. Please stay. Don't go there. I don't want to lose you!" Daniel came in from the side and put his arms around me, leaning his head on my shoulder, "Please, Helle, don't do this..! We'll do anything you ask us to if you just stay!" "Guys I..." "Please don't go!" ".... thank you..." I closed my eyes, I couldn't look at them, it was breaking my heart. "Thank you for caring so much about me. But I've already made up my mind. I'm going. Please let me." Raphael looked down, sad. "Oh, I need your help Raphael!" "You want me to help you do something I'd rather you not?" "Well...yes... kinda..." "Show you where he stays?" "No... Darien will take me there. But.. Iselin told me that Vaan sometimes sees angels? And as far as I understand, no other vampire does..?" Daniel had let go his grip around me and gave Raphael a questioning look. Raphael looked back at him with sad eyes still. "We don't show ourselves to vampires normally... Hardly ever..", Daniel said, still looking at Raphael, "And there is no way a vampire can see us if don't let him..." "So that means..?" Now we both looked at Raphael, who sighted.

"It's not like it's forbidden, now is it?" "You told me you knew Vaan! You're friends with him?!", I asked with a high voice, not believing such a thing could be true. "I'd rather not talk about Vaan. But it's true, we do know each other. And I meet him from time to time. There's nothing more for you to know. He gives me information sometimes." "And what do you give him in return?", I asked. Daniel raised his voice, "You don't give him information about US now do you?" "NO! Off course not!" "Tell me, is there anything about Vaan that I should know?", I asked. Raphael sighted again, "Yes. He's dangerous, so don't go!" "I'm going." Raphael got up from the floor and started walking around in the room. "Well?" He stopped the walking and looked at me, "Vaan is.. very seductive... And he is also very.. found of.. Argh, don't make me say this!" Raphael blushed and looked at the ground. "He likes what? ... oh...ooohh....!" "Don't give me that look." "Are you sure?" "Just... try to keep a distance if possible...Hope you wont get under his spell."

They had allowed me to go, rather against their will, but at least they didn't strap me to the bed or anything, 'Now that could have been interesting....'. I sat outside waiting for Darien to show up. 'Maybe I should wait somewhere else, he doesn't like churches..' The sun set. Then Iselin came outside and waited with me. The angels stayed away. "You're losing respect inside, they have seen you walk in and out too many times already...", she was hinting to the people inside the cathedral. I laughed a little. "You know, you're not too bad for a vampire." "What are you waiting for?" "My friend. He will follow me to Vaan... and I want to.. I don't know if I will be able to see him again..." "Your friend, Darien... It may be impossible, and may be stupid, but bringing him along might be good for you. If Vaan allows it." "Isn't he just gonna get killed, like they say I'm gonna be? Isn't it better for him to actually NOT be with me when I'm around vampires?" "Well.. yes.. No vampire loves their company. But without him... He might be your only friend there. And teleporting is a good way of getting out of trouble..." "How come you're on my side?" ".... I'd give so much to change the past.... I don't regret following my sister, but I regret trusting Vaan. If there was a way to become human again, I would not hesitate. I see myself in you." She looked me deep in the eyes, "Whatever you do, don't sleep with him. He will try to turn you into a vampire." "How do you make a vampire?" "Drain the blood... give vampire blood back." "Then you would have to swallow then?" "Yes.. it's a voluntary act seen in that perspective.. He is here." "Hm?" Iselin rose up, looked towards the trees and turned towards the door. "I'll see you later...", she said to me as she walked back inside. I looked down where Iselin had looked. I didn't see anyone, but I hoped it wasn't Vaan she was talking about. I got up, whispered "Good bye", and hoped that they heard me. Then I walked down in between the trees.

It was Darien. I told him that I would take Vaan’s offer and go with him. Try to get close to Asami and take it from there. Try to escape off course, find a way out if possible. I also told him that I wanted him with me. Darien didn't like that idea, but agreed to come along if Vaan allowed it. We teleported to the cave. "How is your wound?" "It's almost healed." We stood outside of the cave. I didn't know what I should do, but Darien didn't want to enter. Shortly after, Vaan appeared, this time he came walking out of the cave and towards us.

His eyes were so blue, and he looked so innocent. Just a kid like me, but he had an aura surrounding him, an aura of power. He came close to us and smiled at me. "So, you decided to come?" "I want Darien with me." Vaan looked at Darien, then at me again. "I don't want him." "What does it matter to you, he isn't any treat to you." Vaan smiled again. "Do you really want to put your friend here through that kind of torture?" "What torture?" "Please... You know we don't like each other, nothing personal... But he will be killed..." "Not if you tell them not to." "Why would I protect him?" "I wont go with you if he doesn't come along. And no harm shall come to him! I'll hold you responsible." "You aren't in a position to negotiate. And your demands are high for someone who lives only at my will." He stopped and looked at us. "But okay... He may tag along. But I will not take him under my wings for protection. I will do with him as I please, and he will not walk freely. When we reach the Lord, he is out of the party" "Is she under your wings then?", Darien asked. "I'll treat her like my queen..."

He then held his hand out for me to take it. I hesitated. "You will come with me now... Not him..", Vaan said to me, his eyes dazzled and I reached out my hand. He took it in his. It was cold. Then he led me into the cave with him. As we entered he turned his head and shouted to Darien, "I'll have someone pick you up when we move." We then continued down the cave, it was rocky and wet. "You really live here?" Vaan started laughing, "Ah.. I love your sense of humor..." It got darker and darker, I couldn't see shit, so I grabbed hold of Vaan. He didn't seem to mind. Then he stopped. I wondered why. "The gate", he answered. 'Gate to what?' "My villa." Then he started walking again and all of a sudden the ground became straight and the air felt warmer. It also became lighter and before I knew it we were inside of a beautifully decorated room. I looked around, it was huge, just like a "normal" room, with walls, furniture, doors leading to other rooms... "How..?" Then one of the doors opened and a lady walked in.

She had the same dark eyes as Lathien, the same pale skin and the same deadly beauty. She was dressed in a long dress, with jewels all over. 'So pretty... O_O' "Welcome home, master.", she said and bowed to Vaan. "Lock the gate.", Vaan answered. "We are not going through it again." "The elf formed some seals with her hands and whispered something in a language I did not understand. Then her hands started glowing and an item suddenly appeared in her hands. "Here my master." She handed the item over to Vaan, he then looked at me and said, "The gate. Ready to be used when we leave for the underworld.", as he showed it to me. A small shiny piece of glass. "Now.. let's get you out of those filthy clothes. And I need something to eat... Raven!" "Yes, master?" "Take her with you to Tobias, tell him to fix her up!" Raven looked me in the eyes for the first time, turned her back at me and started walking. I gave Vaan a glance, then hurried after her trough one of the doors.
