Dear Readers:
I love your comments and ideas - they're really invigorating and really original. It seems like you guys work as hard as I do! I also want to thank you guys for being patient with me! I know I don't write so regularly, but I try to make it good when I do. I hope you guys are enjoying the series, and I look forward to writing more for you in the future!
Love,

But are Marik and Róan mated now? I think that means married, or maybe they'ved mated but haven't bonded, if "bonded" means married and "mated" just means to get together? I remember Marik telling Róan he wouldn't touch him until after they were mated, but since they're already having relations and Róan might even be pregnant, I s'pose they went past that stage already XD
Jenner:
Whew! I always love your comments, lili - you get very involved with the story, which makes me feel quite appreciated!
Some notes on Matings & Bondings:
Mating is the physical aspect of a bonding (ideally), but the two are so closely correlated for wolfes that a bonding may sometimes be referred to as a mating.
The bonding is the acceptance of a commitment, and the establishment of a metaphysical connection in the bonded pair, in conjunction with the physical act of mating. It's what we (don't) see take place between Kaz & Mikal in the temple in Rift.
Although a couple may be "together," they are not inviolably sealed until they are officially bonded. Example: sexually approaching a wolfe's mate in a bonded pair would be so unacceptable as to warrant punishment by the Pack (exile, or perhaps even death); this would be a matter of respect for the bond itself. However, doing the same to a wolfe's partner with whom they remained unbonded would simply be a massive personal insult, grounds for a solid beating at worst.
In Rise, Marik tells Róan he won't be touching him again until after they are mated; earlier, he mentions that their mating will be finalized within the month. Although I had originally intended to spend more time with this, I figured that you guys were probably full up on this kind of scene and decided to focus on something different. Their mating is presumed to have been finalized shortly (read: immediately) after Róan completes his Change...the few day's lapse between the beginning of his Change and him showing up to paint braic is about when it happens.

Anna Belle:
Why do I have the feeling that Marik has a thing for Medin. Maybe i'm being ridisulous but he don't seem to think about Róan with the same foundness.
Jenner:
Marik loves Medin as a son, nothing more. His love for him is very strong, perhaps stronger than his attachment to Róan. Like with everything, there are reasons for this. Among them: Róan has been here for 6 weeks. Medin's been in Marik's life for almost 10 years.

Fun Fact!
In the Wolfish Empire, the community is generally served 4-6 meals a day - one every four hours. The Noon, 4 pm, 8 pm, and midnight meals are the most populous. The 4 am and 8 am meals are quieter and more sparsely attended. Exceptions may occur in times of difficulty (eg. war, drought, or famine) or during times of celebration or religious observation.
