Grounded

Having a guest and that one bit kind of stopped me cold. Having to explain to Paw that no, he couldn't have a quickie, took a bit of doing. This has a few things into it, and all of them are, amazingly, important. I wonder if Ashun will step forward...

And of course, that last bit there. Yeah. It'll be a few days, their time, before it happens. But I think those who read both Sequel and Partners will get a kick out of ... possibly the next update.

I've only heard two suggestions for the toy/position thing and they're conflicting... hence I'm asking for at least one more.

It may be a few days before I update as the guest is staying with us for over a month and ... well... entertaining takes a bit out of me.

Read, Review and Enjoy.

There was very little discussion. As soon as the door to the bedroom was closed, Paw had Mik pinned against the door, lips against Mik’s and fingers digging at the buttons of the man’s shirt. Soon enough his shirt was on the floor and his pants were close to following it as his heart pattered faster and faster. Paw’s lips found Mik’s neck as Mik finally gained control of his hands and pushed them up and under Paw’s shirt. The Sidhe had no buttons on the shirt and thus getting it off was not exactly easy.

Paw was reluctant to pull away from Mik, reluctant to let the man’s neck go. Mik finally pushed Paw away and tugged at the shirt, annoyed as Paw finally realised what he was trying to do and lifted his arms upward, aiding Mik instead of getting in the way. Shirt off, Paw pressed tight against Mik and bore his neck.

Heated flesh against heated flesh. Mik could feel Paw’s much slower heartbeat, could feel the odd flutter in Paw’s chest as the Sidhe groaned silently. Mik kissed and nibbled, hands fluttering up Paw’s sides before he dragged his nails back down gently. Enough to cause sensation without causing pain or discomfort. Paw bit his lip and shuddered, arching backward.

“Bed,” Mik groaned.

Paw stumbled backward and Mik stumbled with the Sidhe, pulled along by a hand. They fell onto the bed, Paw against it and Mik atop Paw. Kissing, panting. Mik was trembling with anticipation, he was eager, ready and willing.

Which somehow made the thump of the door being all but kicked open explainable. Well. Almost explainable.

Mik turned to the door and huffed at Taln. The young man folded his arms and growled at Mik.

“You grounded. My. Sidhe.”

“Can’t it wait, Taln?” Paw whined, “we’re in the middle of something.”

“No. It cannot wait,” Taln snapped angrily.

Mik pulled himself off of Paw and turned to fully face Taln. He was, luckily, wilted at the first snarl. Paw, on the other hand was still aroused, and obviously so, when he stood up and grumbled at Taln. The young man didn’t even glance down. Leave it to Taln to think this had been nothing but kissing and that there hadn’t been more involved.

“You grounded Lillow.”

“Yes, well,” Paw muttered in response, “while we were talking in the program building about Amdos, her and Hohi … had intimate relations.”

“Paw,” Mik said sternly, “you realise his name was Amados, not Amdos. You even somehow got Mari to say it wrong, but it’s Amados.”

“Amdos, is what I say,” Paw muttered.

Taln looked confused, utterly and entirely confused, “the tribe as a whole has been dropping sounds from their words… why didn’t anyone stop Lillow and Hohi?”

Mik got an evil idea to poke Taln. See if the young man had a backbone left to him. So he shrugged and said, “because they likely think they can get away with it with you as leader, that as people you will be weak and. Well. You know. Not have the balls to call them on it.”

All emotion left Taln’s face. Mik wasn’t certain if he was concerned or frightened. Not until the young man looked at Paw.

“Call them to the pool room.”

“You don’t want to discuss with the Elders first?” Paw stammered out.

“No. The Elders were here and they didn’t stop Lillow and Hohi either, why talk with someone who committed the offence as to what their punishment should be?” Taln muttered before turning and leaving the room.

Paw waited a moment before blinking and looking at Mik, “yes, let’s poke the quiet one. Are you crazy? Never poke the quiet one, he’s the one more likely to break every bone in your body!”

“Not amongst the people,” Mik muttered with a sigh, reaching down to collect their discarded shirts, “so much for sex.”

Paw looked from Mik’s face, to his hand, holding out the Sidhe’s shirt. The male blinked several times, obviously confused. Paw reluctantly took the shirt and put it on.

“Don’t see why we can’t still have sex,” Paw muttered, “Sidhe gather as Sidhe gather-”

Taln stuck his head into the bedroom, “I mean now, Paw. Interrupt whatever they are doing. And no quickie sex.”

“I don’t think,” Mik said, shrugging into his shirt, “that Sidhe are capable of having quick sex.”

“Just hurry up!” Taln snapped, going bright red.

Mik sighed again and began buttoning his shirt. Paw looked upset but straightened his shirt nonetheless before stepping out of the bedroom. Mik followed Paw’s example, straightening his shirt before stepping out of the bedroom. And into…

Chaos.

The Sidhe weren’t going to the pool room, they were gathering in the entrance way, looking rather ruffled. Souse pushed through the crowded entrance way and glared about the apartment. Obviously he had had the same idea as Mik and Paw. Shirt half undone, pants unzipped and sliding down just enough for everyone to know that Souse didn’t wear underwear.

Violet hopped over, yes, over, the crowd, from the door and to the kitchen counter. Munching on a cookie and a look on her face that was oddly the innocent, curious puppy dog.

Taln focused on Violet, “where are Raoh and Osht?”

“The mesa fell asleep on them,” Violet responded, hopping lightly off the counter, “we just couldn’t bring ourselves to wake him. So I came instead.”

“Mesa?” Taln snarled, before something dawned on the young man, “oh, and how is how is the mesa doing?”

“Better, I didn’t have to tug him into sleep or anything, we just wore him out,” Violet responded before eating the last of the cookie she held, “Muan tried to come too, but I told him he should stay and guard, considering he’s not part of the tribe yet.”

“He is,” Taln responded evenly, “but he has no rank beyond that of a child and so it shall remain until I say otherwise.”

“Auh,” Violet’s head cocked to the side, “are you having a pissing contest with someone? Did someone question you?”

“What?” Taln looked at her, startled.

“You’ve got the look of a ruffled male,” she murmured before gliding away to where Lillow stood beyond the kitchen table. The two girls linked arms and began talking in hushed tones.

Once the tribe was gathered, all of the Sidhe and quite a few of the partners, Taln cleared his throat for their attention. The bubbling talk silenced immediately, all eyes focused on Taln. Essuan had that look, that she believed this entire thing to be a waste of time and hence, Taln had best run when he was done because he was going to get an earful. Hopefully it was only an earful of gibberish words.

“For the second time in… what… a month?” Taln’s tone was that of irritation, annoyance and a cold something that Mik hoped did not continue past the speech. It sent a sort of shiver down Mik’s spine and not in a good way, not at all, “Lillow has been in a compromised position and no one answered a call, no one watched her.”

And the Elders went into panic mode. Especially Hohi, for after a moment of panic, all the Elders turned to the tall male and glared at him.

“And yet again I find this tribe reluctant to do as is necessary, to be a tribe. Whether you like it or not,” Taln raised his voice over several protests, “you are a tribe. There is no past, there are no family or friends out there, not unless you come forward and tell us where they are and then. And only then, will they be rescued and you may talk about family and friends. But you will still be a part of this tribe. You will still be a part of Whisper’s tribe.

“And look at the example you set for the other Sidhe. Not your problem, you all say, someone else will get it, you all say. No more. You all get it, or you all suffer the consequences of your inaction. For not answering the first call. You are all grounded until tomorrow morning. We are going to go to the pool room and we are all going to sit down and think about what you’ve done, what it means for the tribe and for all Sidhe.”

One of the Sidhe huffed out, puffed up his chest. By Souse’s look, the male was challenging Taln’s rule.

“You,” Taln jabbed a finger at the male, “just earned everyone another six hours of grounding. Anyone else?”

Essuan raised her hand, drawing Taln’s eye before she said, “te flooring?”

“Grounding means we get to do nothing at all,” Lillow snapped out, “not play, not talk, not listen to music. Not even use powers because Paw’s a bastard.”

Every head in the room turned to Paw. The male shrugged, “annoyed adolescent, what else would one expect?”

“Go clean up for bed,” Taln snapped out, “you have one hour. Any who are not at the pool room will face the consequences, every minute you are late, another six hours gets added to the tribe’s grounding. Go.”

The Sidhe filed out, muttering to themselves, until Souse and Essuan were the only ones left. Essuan touched her mate’s arm lightly before following the rest out. Souse waited a moment longer, arms crossed over his chest, before he tipped his head towards Taln and left the apartment.

Taln huffed out, placing his hands on the counter as if he needed the extra support, “what would have happened if they had decided no and attacked me?”

Paw snorted, “Elders are on your side, Taln, they would not allow the others to throw around physical weight. Trust me, I know. Was barely male when my brother, few years older’n’me, took leader.”

Mari slid into the apartment, looked from Sidhe to people and finally to Mik before she blinked and tipped her head to the side, “did I miss something?”

“Just Taln having a pissing contest with the tribe,” Mik said, “why are you here?”

“I’ve found Edno. He’s. Uhm. On his way in. Why is Lillow trying to drill holes into your head with her eyes?”

“I grounded her.”

“So… I did miss something.”

“Maybe just a little something,” Mik muttered.
