For those of you who don't read Sequel. The chat was nice. Except I found out that it is glitched and that it wouldn't let more than three people into the chat at once. I've changed it and am running another livechat tomorrow morning in the hopes of testing the new chat which... kind of looks like a yahoo chat room. Kind of. Better looking than the other and I have four log ins running fine. For those who couldn't get in today, its a chance to come in and talk. For those of you who did, it's a chance to see the new one and possibly break things for me. So. Tomorrow morning -that is Sunday Morning- at 11am Pacific time at ayatostales.net. Click the link in the news. Dunno why I haven't gotten around to making it into a proper link yet. Ah well. Also, Bond Mate's first chapter has gone up on the site, so have a wander over and read that if you are interested in it. Below has a few things. The story moves, yay, and at the same time there's a very un-subtle happening. Which is fine. Which might lead to a one shot... thing. Read, Review and Enjoy. The next morning Mik went out and spoke with a realtor. The realtor was confused as to Mik’s inquiries but as soon as he heard what Mik was willing to spend, the man had been more than happy to help. What Mik told the man he was willing to spend was a small fraction of his actual salary. Turned out, most people expected to pay dirt cheep for land and were upset or disappointed when they found out it was more expensive than they thought. As Mik walked into the apartment, Taln stumbled out of his bedroom. The younger man was rubbing his face and attempting to tug his hair back into place. “Tired?” Mik asked Taln.Taln glared at Mik before turning to the kitchen to find lunch. Mik arched an eyebrow and watched Taln dig through the fridge for food. The young man made himself a sandwich and sat at the kitchen table. Mik sat across from Taln and waited patiently as Taln ate. “What?” Taln asked around the last mouthful of sandwich. “You. Uhm. Seem to be acting strangely.”“And?” Taln snapped back, “the hell do you care.”“Because. Since you and Hohi…” Mik made a hand motion, “it seems that you’ve gotten moody. Which I find odd because you’ve never been moody before.”“You’ve been moody lately as well, I don’t see Koln in there snarling at you,” Taln snapped back. Both considered this for a long moment before Mik made a sound at the back of his throat, “I’ve been having a hard time at work. It’s been irritating and aggravating and I haven’t been getting anything done or feeling like I mean anything besides a fucking position. You?”“I,” Taln went red and looked down, “have a crush.”“That’s adorable,” Mik murmured, “who is it?”“What, it doesn’t matter. He’s not gay and it’s just a crush. So what does it matter-”“Who. I mean, if you tell me who, then maybe we can find a type for you and then find you someone.”“It’s just a stupid crush and it doesn’t matter!” Taln snapped back quickly, standing from the kitchen table. Koln knocked on the door frame and entered the apartment. Taln huffed out his breath and folded his arms, looking away from Koln as if denying the man existed. Mik glanced at Koln, “what?”“Mari would like to know how many of the partners are going to be celebrating the winter festival this year. She needs to know for decoration purposes.”The winter festival took place soon after science claimed winter began. Claimed only because there was snow on the ground before winter began and as far as Mik was concerned, snow meant it was winter. It was meant as a celebration, for those who had made it through the first part of winter and as a sort of call to the sun to come back from its hiding place and warm the earth once more. Mik thought about the flashing lights and sparkly tinsel and garland involved in modern winter festival celebrations and grimaced at it. But then the idea of watching Paw and Lillow play with the tinsel came to him and he sighed out. “That would be highly amusing and fun. We will take part this year. Who knows, maybe the Sidhe have a type of celebration like that at mid-winter.”“Right. I’ll let Mari know, but I was more of here for Taln,” Koln murmured, arching an eyebrow as he looked past Mik. Taln was attempting to sneak out of the kitchen. At the mention of his name, he sighed and turned back to the two older men. “I’m busy.”“You want to use that shore time of yours to visit your family?”“No. No. I’m going to be here,” Taln nodded, “at the program thing, here. This. Place. But. I’m busy. Too busy to be bothered with celebrations and sparkles and twinkling lights and making presents. So. I’ll just go to my room and let you two talk about… your…” Taln looked at Mik as the older man gave him a questioning look. Taln shot Mik a glare, “stuff. And keep your stuff to yourselves. Excuse me.”Taln rushed out of the kitchen as Koln made a sound at the back of his throat. “Boy’s been avoiding me for nearly a week.”Mik bit his bottom lip and turned to Koln, “I think he…” Mik tried to explain with his hands as he continued speaking, “is a bit unsettled by all this.”Koln’s eyebrows drew down. The man watched Mik’s hands, completely ignoring his words. “Well if that’s,” Koln pointed at Mik’s hands, “the case, I can deal with it. In the morning. Or. Something. I’m tired. I’m not thinking straight. This having free time on my hands really fucks me up.”“I don’t know what you mean. Would you like my job? You can have it, no charge,” Mik smiled innocently at Koln. Koln snorted, “not for all the virgins in the world.”.
