Catherine
The Comforting
A few days later, as she was getting off work (she had gotten a job at a store in the mall), she ran into Jason. He asked if something was wrong, and with no hesitation, she told him about the pregnancy and the argument with her boyfriend (she didn't want to call him an ex yet). They sat at a table in the food court, him comforting her.
Then his hand found its way onto her thigh.
She pushed it away, telling him to stop, but he just said, “Why should I? You know I’m better than him.” He put his hand on her thigh again, closer to her crotch.
She pushed it off again. “I don’t feel like doing anything remotely like that right now, especially with some guy I barely know.” She scooted away some, but he moved closer. She scooted again, telling him to get away, that she was sorry she ever met him.
Then two hands grabbed Jason, and pulled him out of his chair. Catherine’s boyfriend then started kicking Jason in the ribs, saying with each kick, “Don’t...ever...fucking...touch...her...again!”
He picked up Jason’s chair, and brought it over his head, but Catherine stopped him, saying that even Jason didn’t deserve that. Her boyfriend put the chair back down, gave Jason a look, took Catherine’s hand, and walked away.
As they entered the parking lot, she asked if everything was okay with them. He stopped, turned, and kissed her lips. When their mouths parted, he said, “You’re mine. Understand that?”
She smiled and said, “Yes, Master. Let’s go home. Sad or not, seeing you like that had an effect on me.”
They went to his house, and made love as a couple again. Months later, she had her babies (twins), and they raised them together.
