Okay

According to Aiden’s impression of how seeing the future and the rest of the world worked the best course of action at least for the moment was to not think about the impending war. Ty had a lot of practice with not thinking about stuff so he found it fairly easy. Much easier than not thinking about Aiden when the other male was mad at him at least. Especially since in this instance he had much better things to think about than the prospect of global warfare. Things like Aiden.

Aiden was a complex thought with many subcategories in his mind. It reminded him of The Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul. If you think about seven different things in rapid succession you can forget about anything. The woman in the book had thought of four different things and then her Boyfriend who had his own three separate subcategories which allowed her to forget about whatever it was she’d been considering in the first place. Aiden was so confusing and complicated and had so many interesting subcategories that thinking about him simply put any other thought from his mind.

Especially now as they were finally back home and settled. Aiden fit so neatly and perfectly into his life that Ty marveled at it. Had he changed terribly to accommodate the other in his life? He hadn’t really thought so. But if he hadn’t changed then how was it that he had been missing this whole other part of his life like a puzzle with several missing pieces... and not even noticed? It was a baffling conundrum.

Some things had changed. Aiden no longer slept on his couch at night and neither of them snuck into the bathroom to change when necessary. Aiden had gotten his own computer and spent far too much time playing a MMORPG and trying to convince Ty that he should make a character and play too to possibly look at an excessive amount of porn. But even though Aiden had plenty of his own money now and they trusted him not to run away he didn’t make any kind of effort to find his own apartment or leave. He had considered buying his own car but didn’t talk about how he was going to go out to parties and pick up chicks and such any longer.

For right now things were quiet. After the last mission they seemed to be getting a break from having to have anything new to deal with and that was a relief. But it was also kind of strange. They both had plenty of money to burn and not a lot to do. They ended up going out to lunch a lot and Aiden managed to drag him to some movies that ended up being less terrible than Ty would have thought and in turn he took every opportunity to make Aiden come to the bookstore which he knew the younger male enjoyed a lot more than he would ever let on.

“You’re not at all curious?” Aiden asked. He was cooking and Ty was mostly watching but occasionally being drafted in to help stir something or some other task that Aiden deemed that he couldn’t mess up. Funny, Aiden cooked almost every day but out of the two of them Ty was the one who acted more gay? It didn’t add up. Aiden claimed it was because being a chef was a traditional male role. He wouldn’t listen to the idea that cooking for the family was the traditional female role.

“Can I have some context to go with that?” Ty returned. Aiden would often ask him questions that didn’t seem to relate to anything in particular but the blonde could usually figure out that he was thinking about something in a video game he was playing or a book he was reading and that the thought wasn’t entirely random. It was only times like this when Aiden’s thoughts were entirely internal that he had to sk for clarification.

“You don’t ever wonder why people think about sex all the time or why they like porn or what it would be like to actually have sex?” Ty decided he didn’t like this line of thought and ended up sighing as he stirred the pot on the stove while Aiden was busy turning flour into desert through some mysterious process he didn’t think he was ever going to grasp.

“I’ve had sex.” He said slowly and carefully.

“What?” A quick glance matched tone with expression and confirmed that his friend was in fact as totally astounded as he sounded. “I thought you were so weirded out by the thought because you were a virgin and all you’d seen inside people’s heads was the creepy stuff.” Ty shook his head at Aiden’s assumption of his standpoint on sex.

“I’m not.” He shrugged. It still didn’t mean he was any more comfortable with the idea.

“You, who has never once masturbated to my knowledge, you’ve had sex.”

“Yes.” Ty said wearily wondering how long Aiden was going to persist with this line of questioning before he grew bored of it.

“A man or a woman?” Aiden asked.

“Does it really matter?”

“A woman then.” Why was that his conclusion? Did he think he was afraid to have sex with another male because he’d never done that before?

“Both.” He said firmly and that was very much the truth. Aiden looked at him as though he was something that needed to be figured out.

“Did you... enjoy yourself?” Aiden asked carefully. Ty frowned. What kind of question was that? He’d climaxed so he must have found it enjoyable, right? The older male ended up shrugging.

“It was okay.” He concluded. He had found it difficult to get past the things they were thinking about. Typically they weren’t thinking about him at all and that was... weird. And it was worse when they were thinking about him because it made him see himself in a light that he didn’t enjoy and they always seemed to be thinking about including him in some kind of deviant fantasy that he couldn’t be sure they wouldn’t actually enact in real life.

“Wait.” Aiden said as something seemed to occur to him. “How did you have sex with these people if you’ve always had this apathetic attitude toward it and you wont even have sex with me and you actually like me?” Ty blinked at him. Well, they had come on to him. And usually, had it been an ordinary situation, he would have put them off, ignored them or even physically prevented them from doing what they wanted.

“I was supposed to.” He had done it to fulfill a mission given to him. Now he found ways to avoid it if he could. But that had been before when the methods they had him use were a lot more mundane because they didn’t know a lot about applications for his powers and he had followed mission profiles exactly instead of just getting the objective.

“You had sex for missions?” Aiden correctly guessed. Ty nodded. “That’s not sex.” The older male was baffled. How was sex not sex, exactly? The blue-haired male seemed to understand his puzzlement because he went on to explain. “Sex doesn’t have to be intercourse but you do at least have to enjoy it for it to be sex. Otherwise it’s just... well it’s either rape or business if it’s not sex.” He explained. Another one of his strange definitions. “So really, you’ve never had sex. Have you even masturbated?” Ty shrugged, not sure now if he had or hadn’t because apparently his idea of what things were and weren’t just didn’t match up with Aiden’s reality.

“So, you never wondered what sex was like because you thought you knew and you just assumed that either people blew it all out of proportion or that maybe you were somehow defective?” How did he do that? Obviously there was some tricks people who actually couldn’t read minds learned to mimic the effect. He ended up shrugging again in response. Aiden shook his head as though it was some kind of travesty and turned back to the batter he’d made making.

Ty realized he’d been neglecting to stir their dinner and he guiltily went back to it, hoping that it hadn’t burned to the bottom of the pot. It seemed a little stuck in places but not burned on or totally irreparable. He stirred it more diligently until Aiden finished with desert and put it in the oven to cook because it was only then that the younger male spoke again. “Would you let me try?” He asked, nudging the blonde out of the way to take over stirring and make sure he hadn’t ruined it.

“Try what?” Were they still talking about sex or was it something else now.

“Fucking you or pleasuring you or whatever you’ll let me do.” He huffed and Ty suspected he got some kind of expression on his face even though he was trying to remain impassive. “Don’t give me that look. You haven’t ever even tried it ever. And I’m not some obligation or business arrangement. You like me. I know you do. And you trust me, right? I wont hurt you. It’ll feel good. And if you really do hate it after we try it I wont ask you again.”

What was he supposed to say to that? Obviously Aiden liked sex and had thought they should have sex for ages. And he wasn’t an obligation. He was... Aiden. And they were more than friends. And if it was as mediocre as it had been before Aiden would stop bothering him about it. But there was an implied threat in that statement. Aiden wasn’t planning on giving up until he had tried it once, at least. And really, what if he was right and he did actually enjoy it?

“Okay.” He said finally.
