Destiny Found Ch 2 pt 5
Slowly she could feel herself again. She also felt lips upon hers. \'Michael\' she thought and began returning the kiss.
He could feel her lips responding, knowing that she was back, he pulled away. "How does it feel to finally have met your mother?" he asked as her eyes opened.
She opened her eyes and smiled. "I enjoyed it. You were right, she is beautiful." Slowly sitting up. "You were happy to see her as well."
"Yes, it is the first time I have seen her since she died" he stood up and offered his hand.
Taking his offered hand, she allows him to pull her up. "She said I can return anytime I wish and there are other realms as well." Looking towards the door seeing that the day had grown short, the sky darkening.
He shrugged. "Well, I don\'t know much about that" he walked to one of the pillars and leaned on it. The sight of the mountain in the setting light and the more chilling breeze gave him an epic feeling in his heart.
"She said, Magic has no boundaries." Walking around the temple, she waves her hand without thought, lighting more candles so she can look at the inscriptions on the walls.
"Only the boundaries of your heart" he said. He could still feel the guilt from the death of the Priestess.
Glancing over at him. "She told you not to feel guilty." Walked up to him. "It wasn\'t your fault."
"I know, but I still feel it, I just wish she was given more in life then she was. She didn\'t deserve to die like that" he turned around. "So, what do they say?"
Shaking her head. She looked around the room again." Well." points to a symbol of a snake. "That represents my brother. Born in darkness, raised in hate." Turns and points to the dragon. "That is me. Born in light, raised in love."
"Oh. Were you raised in love?" He walked over to her and looked over her shoulder at the writings.
"I am only reading what it says. The dark enjoys evil. It is what feeds it. The dragon or me, needs love, compassion. That is what I gain my strength from. You are mentioned too."
"Oh, where?" he looked with great interest as he tries to make heads or tails of the writing. But it was all just a bunch of gibberish to him.
She nodded and walked over to a center pillar, with a large tiger engraved on it. "This is about the Guardian of the Dragon."
He followed suit. "Ah, I like tigers. Really majestic animals" he grinned.
"Yes they are. It says you are the keeper of the light. Chosen warrior. Darkness has a guardian as well." Looks over at the wall. "Its a jackal."
He looked at one of a series of symbols to the right of the tiger. "What does that mean?" he pointed at the symbols, the dragon wrapped around the tiger as if they were giving each other comfort, above it was a sun and a moon, splitting them was a thin line.
"Hmm...that is what my mother told me before I returned. By Tigers paw the Dragon flies. Not a clue what that means though." Shrugging slightly. "Well, it does have to do with us but as to exactly what it means. I guess we will just have to see."
"I see" he wrapped his arms around her waist, he just had to do it.
Smiling at the feel of him around her she relaxed back against him. "The sun and moon with the line between them is the fine line we must walk. I guess that is were the no touchy rule came from, but part of it is missing. See it\'s been rubbed off or something."
"Ah" he buried his nose in her neck and inhaled a deep long breath. Her scent was so intoxicating, there were times when she walked through the house that could make him slit his throat just to get rid of the pain.
She could not believe he was holding her this way. He felt so good, his arms were so strong. She turned her head to look at him over her shoulder. "You kissed me earlier. I felt it."
"No I didn\'t" he had to lie, he knew she wouldn\'t believe him but he had to deny it. At least for now.
"But. I swear I felt it." Did she want him that badly that she imagined it. Well, it wouldn\'t have been the first time. She place her hand over his arms and looked around the room again. "You know that evil is powered by the evil of the world. I am afraid that there is more of it than love. The darkness is so much stronger than I am. What if I cannot find enough?"
"There might be more of the dark in this world. But the good is always stronger. I take quality over quantity every time"
"I hope that is true." She said quietly.
"You\'ll see. If not, I will protect you" he let her go, they needed to focus on her training.
She turned to face him. With his arms gone she almost felt alone. "My hero." she teasingly said and batted her eyes. "So, I guess back to business at hand."
"I think it would be best that way" he started to leave, she needed to learn as much as she could from the writings and he would probably only be a distraction.
"Michael. I know I have to learn about this" her hand sweeping the temple. "But would you teach me to defend myself. It would make me feel not so...helpless."
"Of course my lady" he answered after stopping for a moment to just give the answer. He started to move down the path. He could only smile to himself, he was starting to feel a great deal of pride of her. She was really coming around, considering the amount of stuff that she had been told she would be.
Turning back around, she blew the hair away from her face and got a determined look on her face. Walking to the back she grabbed a scroll, sat down and began reading. She had a lot of catching up to do.
