Ben looked down at his boyfriend, who was snuggled close to him hiding his face. “You sure?”

Slowly Ben shifted them so Laraine was laying under him on the bed. He leaned down and kissed the boy. Ben ran a hand down Laraine’s side and then slid it into his shirt. There was silence on the other end. “Lainy...did you...did you and Ben sleep together?”

“Oh my god!” Cathy screamed. “Jess!” she yelled at the girl who was clearly at her house with her. “Jess oh my god! Ben and Lainy did it!”


“What?” he heard Jess yell. “Are you serious? Is that Lain on the phone now?”

“Yes!” Cathy told her. “Oh my god Lainy you have to tell me everything!”

Ben came into the room and sat down next to Laraine, kissing him softly. “Cathy I gotta go okay?”


She groaned. “Fine, but you are coming over later Lainy.”

“Yeah, bye.” Laraine muttered and hung his phone up. He smiled up at Ben and they kissed again. “Cathy is freaking out.”

“Figures.” Ben smirked and pulled out his camera. “You and I haven’t taken a picture in a while.”

Laraine smiled. “Benjamin, all I have on is my shorts. Let me get my clothes on and then we can take a picture.”

Ben wrapped an arm around Laraine’s waist and they dropped back onto the bed. “I like this much better.” he pulled Laraine to him so Laraine’s head rested on his chest. “Smile love.”

They took the picture and Laraine pulled the camera down to see it. “Benjamin, please can’t we take one I’ll like?”

Leaning his head down Ben captured Laraine’s lips with his own and Laraine melted into the kiss immediately. Ben, of course, ruined the moment by taking a picture and Laraine pulled away. He looked at the picture and smiled. This one actually wasn’t that bad.

“I like this.” Laraine muttered.

“Good.” Ben set the camera to the side. “Cause that’s the one I’m keeping whether you like it or not!”

Laraine hit him in the shoulder and got up to get the rest of his clothes. “What around you gonna do with the picture anyway Benjamin?”

That made Ben smile as he watched Laraine pull his pants on. “Smile baby.” Laraine smiled as Ben took a picture of him. “And, to answer you question, I’m gonna keep them here just in case I get to lonely while you’re gone.”


“Benjamin please.” Laraine snapped at him. “That is one of those things you could have kept to yourself.” he looked around. “Where is my shirt?”

“I think it’s in the hall somewhere.” Ben muttered and hooked the camera up to the computer. “Hey love are you going home?”

Laraine came back into the room pulling his shirt over his head. “Benjamin I told you I was going to stay here for a while so I could help out.”

The guy sighed and took a deep breath. “Babe I don’t want you spending the day picking up my apartment.”

“Then,” Laraine walked up and gave Ben a kiss. “Why don’t you ask me to move in with you Benjamin?”

“I don’t want to get in an argument right now babe.” Ben muttered and jerked his head to get his bangs out of his face. “Alright?”

That clearly upset Laraine. “Benjamin why don’t you want me to live with you? I don’t get it!”

Grabbing his hand Ben led Laraine over and sat Laraine on the bed with himself. “Lain, this relationship thing...I’ve never been good at it. I like taking things slow with you. It’s not that I don’t want you to live with me because I do want you here. It’s the fact that we’ve been dating for only five months and I think that is a little to soon for you to move in with me. Do you understand?”

“I guess.” Laraine nodded, still clearly a little upset. “It’s not like I’m not here all the time anyway.”

“I know baby.” Ben told him. “But there is a difference between you being here all the time and you livin’ here. I just don’t wanna rush things with you.”

A laugh came form Laraine. “Yeah I know. Seems that I’m the one who is being a little hypocritical now huh? After all, I’m the one who told you in the beginning we were gonna go slow and now I’m wanting to move in here.” he stood. “Maybe I should go. My cousins are at my house and they came down to see me.”

Standing Ben grabbed Laraine’s hand. “Sugah don’t be mad okay?” he set a hand on the side of Laraine’s head. “I’m gonna ask you to move in with me Lain. You know that. However, right now things are still hectic and I’m still trying to get things situated with Jacoby livin’ here. Give it time babe.”

A smile curved on Laraine’s lips and they kissed. “I should get home though. Anna and Alex are gonna be worried about me.”

“Alright love.” Ben told him. “I’ll drive you home. Angela is watching Jacoby for a while so I have time.”

“Okay.” Laraine agreed and they headed for the door. He turned to Ben before they could leave. “We’re good right?”
Ben gave him a questioning look. “What do you mean hon?”

A blush broke across Laraine’s face. “I want to know that you and I are okay.”

“Course we are.” Ben leaned down and kissed Laraine before looking the boy strait in the eye. “Love, having sex doesn’t change a relationship, make it stronger, or break it. You and I have a strong relationship Lain. This doesn’t change anything.”

Laraine nodded. “Alright. Lets go.”
