Too Little Too Late
Janese and LaToya spent her last days at Chesapeake Beach together. They went to the beach and the fair on a regular basis. Everywhere they went Janese would have memories of her and Jett. The thought of when Jett won a giant Siberian Husky played through her mind. She named the dog Maxwell. As a matter of fact, she cuddled up with Maxwell last night. Janese and LaToya were at Toya\'s house chilling out after a day at the beach. Janese really missed Jett but refused to admit it.
\"Janese, I\'ve known you for awhile. Are you really mad at Jett or are you taking your frustration out on him,\" Toya asked. Janese shrugged her shoulders.
\"When I say Kayla swaying her hips and Jett staring at her I got...\" her voice trailed off.
ou gou got jealous Janese. Girl, you got a man that has told you he loved you, made love to you at a beach house, told you he would stand by you if you were pregnant, and told you that he loved you! And he meant it!\"
\"Toya he\'s a superstar! There\'s girls screaming and stalking him to get his attention-\"
\"And he chose you! Out of all those models and actresses he chose you! Janese, you\'re my homegirl but you were wrong and you\'re acting ass ignant! I\'m not saying that Jett is right for going off on you and stuff, but damn, you insulted his father! I would of cursed yo\' ass out too!\"
\"Toya I know! I don\'t want him to leave me! Before I could stop saying what I didn\'t want to say it was already out,\" Janes cried. Toya reached over and hugged her. \"You should have seen his face. He looked as if he had been shot or something.\"
\"Call him and apologize.\" Janese picked up the phone and dialed Will\'s number.
\"Thanks Toya.\" LaToya smiled and left so she could have some privacy.
\"Hello,\" Will answered.
\"Hey Uncle Will. Is Jett there.\"
\"No, Jett left earlier this morning.\"
\"He did. He went home already?\"
\"Yea, he seemed pretty upset. Gloria told me what happened. It\'ll be all right. He just needs some time to clear his mind.\"
\"You\'re right. Thanks Uncle Will.\"
\"Bye sweetheart.\" Janese felt the hot tears running down her face. She was too late.
