The Hero and The Villain

A/N: Sorry, I've been in more of a "reading" than "writing" mood lately! These next few themes might be super short to reflect that. I wanted to give you guys something so you didn't think I was abandoning any of the stories. Just reading! :)

“Mine is better,” Vi declared as he and Hero compared their new “mate” tattoos. The order had been official from the top and both men had submitted to the in-house artist.

Hero eyed the black radioactive symbol on Vi’s arm before looking back at his own arm where a shield decorated his opposite wrist. “I don’t know, I think they both look fine.”

“Yeeeaaaaaah no. See, my symbol pretty much means I kill everything. I win,” Vi countered.

“You don’t know what my shield is made of!” Hero bit back hotly, irritated that his mate was being such a dick about the whole tattoo thing.

“Oh? Okay big boy I’ll bite, what’s your shield made of?” Vi asked, crossing his arms and cocking his hip to the side, sleep pants slipping a little over a faintly bruised hip bone.

Hero hesitated for a moment, eyes lingering on the mark he’d put on his lover months ago and renewed every chance he got before yanking his eyes back up to Vi’s and announcing hotly: “Anything that stops radioactive stuff.”

Vi stared at him with something akin to amusement before his smirk shifted into a genuine smile. “Okay then, you win.”

“Damn right I do,” Hero announced as he pulled Vi into a kiss to silence any further arguments.
