It's two in the morning; raining, fucking cold and Raphael's people were late. The directions had been specific for us to drive to the college and park in front of J building but walk to the I building. I had classes in the I building and that was a very long walk. Hayden was in his usual attire of black jeans and a black shirt with his black boots and black trench coat. He looked ready to go rob someone and if someone was working late on campus or a cop came by then he was going to get the third degree and maybe a trip downtown.

Of course I would be getting the third degree and trip downtown as well but for a different reason. I had put on the baggy clothes and did my usual movements to see how well I could fight in them. I couldn't get used to the looseness of the fabric and eventually talked Hayden in taking me by my apartment to get clothes. I assured him my clothes were very different from what I had been wearing earlier and no one would recognize me. It wasn't until I came out my room that he believed me.

Alex had bought me a lot of clothes designed for fighting and playing bait. We had learned early on that even when I was fighting someone my looks distracted them. I wore a black bra with matching black panties. The dress was see-through all the way to the waist so the black bra acted as a shirt. It was tight and form fitting until just below my ass where it flared out another inch so that when I moved I looked like some morbid ballerina in three inch spiked heels. I had tried my boots on at first but didn't like the way it looked so I settled for the heels.

Hayden had carried me from the car to the I building saying he didn't want me to break my neck in the heels. Of course I could run miles in the shoes and never loose balance. Marco and Polo use to chase me through the woods and down the streets in every kind of shoe known to man to make sure. I let him carry me in his arms as I clung to his chest. His hand had traced little circles along my inner thighs as he carried me.

"Are you sure you don't want my jacket." He had been asking me that since we got out the car.

"I am fine but thank you." I wrapped my arms around him under the jacket and placed my head on his shoulders. In the heels I could reach his shoulders comfortably.

"Your hair is ruined."

I sighed and pressed my hands to my hair. I had put it up in a ponytail but had left about four good chunks to hang down. I curled those chunks of hair so that they laid lazily in an intricate manner. Now that I was soaked the hair mostly clung to my neck like leeches. I was still debating whether or not to just pull it all up into a ponytail.

"It'll be alright." I slipped my arms back into his jacket.

"They're coming."

I pulled away from and pulled my hair out of the ponytail holder. When the SUV crested the hill I had just finished pulling all my hair up into the ponytail holder. Hayden turned to look at me, blinked, and turned back to the SUV. It was black and when the doors opened no lights came on inside the interior. There were no heart beats in the SUV so every one was dead and soon they would be really dead.

A woman stepped out the SUV and walked to Hayden with a seductive smile. When she got out the SUV she made sure to spread her legs and show she was wearing less than me. Hayden had just gotten an eye full of the woman who was now running her hands along his body. She was patting him down for weapons but she made the action sexual.

A man stepped to me with a smile and that glint in his eye that said he was going to enjoy searching me for weapons. I stepped back from him and looked to Hayden. He was right when he said they wouldn't know who we were and would suspect us to be Alex and one of his men. I guess Alex was good at hiding behind the curtains. It wouldn't be long before someone recognized that Hayden wasn't Alex.

"One hand out of place and I will rip you apart with my bare hands."

"Your human is brave." The woman was now caressing Hayden's chest but her eyes were on me.

"She and Ethan are a set. She wants him returned to us and it has angered her that you have taken him."

"That human is fine as well." The man stepped up to me again and this time I didn't move.

His hands ran down my back with more pressure than needed before running over my ass and on down my legs. He ran his hands back up the front of my body pausing on my thighs before going up and pausing on my breast. His check was very thorough and very sexual. Good to know he wasn't distracted from his job completely. He still missed my weapons but I wasn't sore about that.

I had two small blades tucked into both the cups of my heavily padded bra, a knife that was barely concealed between my legs and pressed dangerously close to places you don't want to get cut. I also had silver throwing stars tucked into a secret compartment in the flat of both heels. I had my special hair clips in and my special nail polish was fresh. I left the clear coat off so that there was more exposure to the silver paint itself. Hayden had tried to hold my hand but the nails touched him and he put into effect that there would be no touching his flesh until I put the clear coat on. He wasn't armed with anything but his vampire powers and super strength. For the sake of our lives and Ethan's I hope we were ready.

"In the car." The man pushed me towards the SUV as the woman pulled Hayden back to her.

"She goes first to make sure you don't try anything." She purred against his chest.

I looked at her short brown hair that was gelled into spikes that barely brushed her shoulders. Her red dress didn't cover her ass cheeks and she was spilling out the top of the halter. Her waist was the size of my leg but she still had that voluptuous curve with a rounded ass and full chest. I was really starting to hate her. Couldn't she see I had a claim on him? Was I ready to enforce that claim without getting Ethan first? No. I wasn't.

I smoothed my hand down my backside and held the dress in place as I climbed into SUV. I had covered myself mostly to keep the knife from showing but I hadn't thought about my heels complicating the situation. I almost slipped twice before I finally got into the SUV and then I had to ease myself into a sitting position while moving my thighs around minutely so as not to get stabbed by my own blade. When I was finally seated with no blood loss I buckled my seat belt in and looked up to see the two vampires in front watching me with smiles. I returned a fake a smile that didn't even try to be real. They both laughed before turning back around.

Hayden slid in beside me and placed his hand on my bare leg. My heart rate raced very inappropriately for the situation considering the vampires could all hear it. Hayden looked down at his hand on my leg then back up me with that navy fire coming back to his gaze. It was actually funny to see every vampire in the SUV turn and look at us at the same time. How was I going to kill people with him so close to me. All I wanted to do was strip him down and take him in front of everyone.

"None of that unless we all are going to get to join." The woman climbed into the SUV next to Hayden before moving to the row of seats behind us.

"Then can we move this along so I can get her and Ethan home?" His voice was deep with desire for me but laced with cold hatred for the vampire he was speaking too.

The man driving snorted before driving off. I turned from Hayden and looked at the window. I knew more about this city than he did so I paid attention to where we were going. Right now we were headed towards downtown. I leaned back against Hayden and sighed as I watched Macon fly by. I saw the humans laughing and talking as they made their way into restraunts. When we stopped at the red light I watched a man yell at his partner in the car next to us. I could feel her pain as he criticized her for everything right down to her looks. She wasn't ugly at all. She was a little bigger than average but she had that pretty face and the body that kept its curves no matter how big she got.

I watched as we took a right turn that would lead us back to the club where Hayden and I had found Jesse. Did they know I had killed their pet rat? They hadn't said anything. They passed the club and took a right at the stop sign. We were headed to Twiggs County and I couldn't help the smile that curved my lips. I knew Twiggs county and Jones County like the back of my hand. This was starting to look easier and easier. Polo had trained me in the woods of Twiggs County and my mother had raised me in Jones County. This was my playground they were on and I was going to show them that.

We pulled up to a blue house with black shudders that was nestled deep in the woods. I had run the woods around this house often with Polo chasing after me. My first broken bone was about two miles up the road where I tripped over a fallen tree while wearing four inch heels. Polo had healed me and then made me run the rest of the way home. When the SUV came to stop a light came on from around the back of the house as two men came out the front door. One man opened the door next to me while the other opened Hayden's door.

"Did they have weapons?" The one holding me asked in a grumpy voice.

"Clear. Both of them." The woman who had all but fucked Hayden didn't have the seductive tone anymore.

"Raphael will be here shortly. He got tied up and is running a little late." This came from the man holding Hayden.

We filed into the house with me and my escort going first. The house was far from a home. There no furniture except the one comfortable chair with three metal chairs around it. The walls were bare of any decor unless you counted the hooks that held the chains around the wall. It looked like something out of your worst nightmare. The smell of fresh blood was nearly chokingly strong and I couldn't help but wonder if Ethan was here and if he was even still alive. The man holding me pushed me down into one of the metal chairs. I yelped as the blade pressed into my thigh just shy of breaking the skin. If I moved the wrong way the blade would be pushed into my leg and the vampires would know I had a weapon. The blood would give me away.

"Pyro is playing with your human man. He will join us shortly."

"Oh yay." I mumbled sarcastically.

"You should keep your human in check before she gets you both killed." This came from a voice some where behind us.

"She only said aloud what I was thinking." Hayden replied as he too was pushed into the metal chair beside me.

There was the sound of a door opening and the sounds of a woman crying floated out the open door just before a man appeared. His power rushed over my skin and I fought the urge to rub my arms. He was a very powerful demon but this time I was unaffected by his power. There was no caress along my skin that left me panting with desire or no hope of it being Nathan. It felt more like someone was annoying me by letting their pet ants march along my skin. This had to be Pyro or we were really fucked.

The demon came closer and I finally got to see him. He was about 6'3 with hair as white as snow. His eyes were a pale lifeless grey. He had that perfect nose that humans pay doctors good money to try and get but never can be done just right. His jaw line was more squared with a little dimple in the center of his chin. His white muscle shirt strained against his muscled chest and made every dip of muscle jump out in stark contrast. His arms were as big around as my waist and I was betting he could easily bench press three fully furnished houses with the families still inside. He was also wearing gloves the looked like the ones for welding. He was definitely orgasmic eye candy but when I looked at him all I seen was a man with nothing special. Of course, in his defense, I was comparing him the Hayden.

"What is this?" His voice was deep and commanding with a thick lacing of authority.

"Pyro, my lord, you said to bring them here." The woman who had been all over Hayden threw herself at his feet. Well at least we know he is Pyro.

"But this is not Alex." He said as he pointed to Hayden.

"But they were standing at the pick up site." She had yet to get off her knees. I had a brief moment of feeling sorry for her but I didn't hold on to the feeling. I let it go.

"You have brought the Justice Hunter and his lover to my home." His power washed out in a wave across the room and I doubled over trying to catch my breath. God help us, he had been containing his power before and this was way above my head. "Are you too stupid to know what a thousand year vampire feels like?"

No body spoke as Pyro walked to the wall and pulled down one of the chains before returning to the woman’s side. In the light I could see the chain was silver and had little prongs like silver daggers all over it. That at least explained why he was wearing welders gloves. Silver burns demons just as it does vampires. Pyro looped the chain around the woman’s throat and pulled until something snapped before continuing to do the same thing to her wrist. She screamed in agony as he gave the chain one last good pull to make sure everything was tight before dragging her screaming body to the wall and hooking her up to the hoops like the sickest wall decor ever.

"Someone gag her so I don't have to hear her screams anymore." Pyro said as he made his way back to us. His cold grey eyes bore into Hayden. "Why are you here Justice Hunter?"

"You know what I do." Hayden shrugged as he said it.

"Yes. I know why you are in this city. I want to know why you are here to retrieve Alex's human and not he."

"My girlfriend is that human’s brother."

"Interesting. The Justice Hunter has cast all his lovers out of his bed for one human woman? She must be quiet the lay." His eyes settled on me and I could practically feel him undressing me with his eyes.

"I have a bargain to make." Hayden ignored his statement about how good I was in bed. To be honest I wanted to know more about all these lovers in his bed.

"Leave us." Pyro barked to his men. They all left quickly with no questions asked. Demons could never pass up a bargain. It was their biggest fault. "And what would the great Justice Hunter have to offer me that would be worth my while?" He spoke only after everyone had left the room and was far enough to not over hear us.

"The child you are trying to recreate was not killed. Alex hid her away and I know where she is. Alex didn't come because he is busy guarding her."

"How do you know she is alive?"

"Because I went to Alex for help in taking you down. He showed me his secret and she is a dead ringer for Tony. It wasn't hard to find truth in his words."

"What is your bargain?"

"Let my girlfriends’ brother go. Set him loose and give him the chance to run for his life."

"He will never make it."

"Give them a five minute head start and then you may chase back after them and if they can't hide from you then it is on their conscience and not mine."

"And what do you offer?"

"I take you to where Alex has his little secret hidden."

"Okay." Pyro thought about it for a second. "Sounds like a deal to me."

"If you let her live," Hayden pointed at me. "you can have my life as well."

"Now that is a deal one can not pass up. I would be known world wide as the man who brought down the Justice Hunter. Of course the story will go that we fought and you were so close to killing me but I made a turnabout and killed you instead."

"Of course." Hayden actually sounded happy about this.

"The question still remains if you are lying about the child."

"You should have been informed by now that the ones who crashed Alex's house today found her drivers license and seen she too is a dead ringer for Tony."

"Yes. I had heard that."

"Alex knew they knew she was alive and he took me with him to relocate her. Then my girlfriend called me to tell me her brother had been taken. Ethan was the only human who had been taken from the raid on Alex's home so one plus one equals two."

"You have yourself a deal Justice Hunter." Pyro stood up and pulled a knife from his pocket before dragging it across his palm.

Hayden stood up and offered his palm to the demon who cut him before pressing his own bleeding palm to Hayden's. The deal was sealed. As soon as they released Ethan than the real show would begin.

"Release the human first." Hayden said.

Pyro pulled his cell phone and made a call. Shortly after he hung up the phone the doors opened and Ethan was carried out in the arms of another demon. The demon laid him at my feet and kneeled down beside him. I pulled him into my arms and started crying as I rocked back and forth. His heart beat was weak but steady. We had another hour at best to heal him.

"Please Cal, heal him." I could do it myself but that would show him who I am.

"No." Pyro stepped closer to us. "That was not part of the deal. He goes like he is or he doesn't go."

All bets were off now. He wasn't going to kill Ethan and I wasn't leaving Hayden.

"Let me give her a last kiss and then they will be off."

"Get it over with."

I gently pushed Ethan out of my lap and stood up. Hayden wrapped his arms around me as he pushed his lips to mine. I kissed him with everything I had and hoped he understood how much I felt for him. We weren't going to make it out of this alive but I could at least make it clear that there was something close to love in my heart for him before we got ourselves killed. Hayden's hand trailed down my back and over my hips before sliding between my legs. I moaned and spread my legs for him as I opened my eyes and looked at Pyro. Pyro opened his mouth to say something just as Hayden's hand closed around the blade.

I threw myself back from Hayden and Pyro followed my movement with his whole body. The flash of silver was bright as Hayden flung the knife towards Pyro's heart. The blade entered just below his heart and he let out a howl of pain before pulling the blade out. I was already pulling my throwing stars from their compartment in my heels when four demons and seven vampires poured into the room. Ready or not, here we go.
