Destinty Found Ch Pt 3
Crossing the courtyard, down the path, she came to a stop at the bottom of the steps.
Michael had followed closely after her, "You okay?" he asked.
Looking behind her. "Yes. I think so." Taking a deep breath she started up the steps.
"Want me to stay here?" he asked loud enough for her to hear him.
Stopping she turned and held out her hand. "No, come with me. I feel better with you around."
Giving her a reassuring smile, he ascended the steps and took her hand. It wasn\'t long until they stood at the altar. Michael hadn\'t been here since he was a small boy. It reminded him a lot of her mother. It pained his heart at the thought of her. He lowered his head a little.
She saw the sadness cross his face. "What\'s wrong?"
"Nothing, just old painful memories" he answered.
"I\'m sorry. If it makes you uncomfortable to be here. I\'ll be alright." Looking around the room. Recognizing symbols and words.
"It\'s not that, it\'s more of a feeling of not having a closure. I was close to your mother, and when she passed... It made me so much more committed to protect you" he moved up to a smaller altar in the middle. It only housed a single candle, but it was enough. He sat down on his knees and bowed in respect.
Watching him tugged at her heart. Walking over, she kneeled beside him. "I wish I could remember her."
"So do I. She was a truly amazing woman... Like you" he closed his eyes, a single tear escaped them. Her death had been a tragedy.
Seeing the tear, she leaned over and kissed it from his face. Slowly wrapping her arm around him and resting her head on his shoulder. Giving him what comfort she could. Her breath fanned his neck. "I hope I can live up to what is expected of me. The things written here are daunting. My task will not be easy. You loved my mother. I hope one day you will tell me all you know of her, if you can." Suddenly a cool breeze sweeps her face, buzzing began to ring in her ears, like voices. Pushing away from him, she slowly shook her head. Dizziness descended upon her, she toppled over, having fainted.
He felt the breeze himself, but to him it was as if a warm blanket had been wrapped around him. He just smiled as he laid her down gently on the ground in front of the altar. "You are lucky to get to meet her"
Standing in front of a large white temple, she looked around. Confused. Hearing her name whispered on the wind. She turned around she saw a woman dressed all in white, who smiles at her. "Where am I?" Endora inquired, looking at the vivid colors around her.
"You are in another realm. I brought you here." The beautiful woman of Blond hair and startling green eyes.
"And who are you?" she asked as she drew closer too her.
"I am your mother, Endora. I wanted to speak to you." Caught of guard by that response, Endora took a step away from her.
"That is not possible." She gasped.
"In our world, Endora, many things are possible. Come, we must speak. We do not have much time."
