HOPEFUL DREAMS
This house feels so empty
I can’t keep warm
I want you to hold me
Sadly you’re gone
You had no love for me
It was all for someone else,
I just looked at you with tears
While u stood there and apologized
Yet your apology can’t keep me warm
On such a cold night as tonight
I sit here looking at the photographs
Of those happy times
I think of all that we had shared
With a smile I realize,
I would not change a single thing
Even if I knew my heart would shatter.
I close this book of memories
Standing up to put it away
I put my heart up on a shelf
To wait for another guy to take it down
Maybe this time, it won’t be broken.
THIS IS VASTLY DIFFERENT FROM ALOT OF MY POEMS AND IS PROBABLY THE WORST OF THEM ALL TO... IT WAS JOTTED IN 5 MINUETS... TO CLEAR MY HEAD...
