Cruelty, Thy name is Joshua
Cruelty, Thy name is Joshua
I once felt for a boy,
Smart, kind and cute
Only to find he didn\'t
Care about my feelings,
His name was Joshua
And to me he would not speak,
He\'d laugh with his friends
And taught and tease,
But he never looked at me,
I tried to ask a question once
But he turned and walked away.
I found him unkind to if only me
So I discovered that men couldn\'t be trusted
And turned my back on the species,
One day long after
He looked in my eyes and tried to speak,
I laughed and walked away,
But as I left I whispered over my shoulder
\"Cruelty, thy name is Joshua,\" and smiled
\"But two can play that game.\"
