Yeah, I've had a very stressing day and this was like... seeping so I figured I'd best get it out and focus on something else for a while... Read, Review and Enjoy“Give him these instructions,” Mik handed Mari a slip of paper, “and-”“Don’t bring up the male with the other Sidhe again,” Mari sighed, “I got that impression after Essuan started asking so many questions of Souse. It won’t happen again and we’ve schooled the others on this fact.”“Good,” Mik turned his attention the papers Koln had handed him the moment he had entered the program building, “has Paw ordered any odd supplies?”“Oh no, he told us you’d try to pry into his little gift thing.”“I like,” Mik looked up and gave Mari a dark look, “knowing when he is going to leap upon me with a new sex toy. It helps me prepare myself for when he … decides its time to play.”Mari went a bright red colour, even as the woman looked down, flipping through her papers and reports for something to do. Mik kept his eyes on her a moment longer, knowing that she felt his look, before turning and setting his own papers on Mari’s desk. He had yet to find or claim a desk and office of his own. He knew that eventually he’d have to take one for his work but hesitated to do so. To have a place where everyone could find them whenever they wanted to? To have somewhere where all his important files are kept, so just anyone at all could walk in and read whatever he had. No, Mik gave his head a shake and let his worry go. Between himself and Mari they could hold all the information for Mik’s position in their heads. Numbers, people, places. Mik frowned and looked at Mari as Mari looked up, startled. As if they had both had the same thought.“Whatever happened to that sister of yours?” Mik asked.“She was offered a job as senator.” Mari responded quickly. “Younger sister is senator and you control the program… and… are an assistant to an ambassador. Is that like a normal rich kid getting a job at a fast food joint?” Mik replied as gently as he could.Mari shrugged, “it is what it is.”“Has the male made any progress?” Mik asked, changing the subject as he picked up the remote and flicked on the small screen on the wall. Live feed of the small containment cell popped up. “Do you mean Rel, or the Sidhe?” Mari asked, stepping closer to the screen for a better view, “Rel has tried to make introductions. The Sidhe calls him Master at random and understands a few words, more like a dog than a creature of sentience. The creature throws random screaming fits. Then has some sort of break down. The cause of the fits is unknown in the first place. Rel pushed the male too far once.”Mari snatched the remote from Mik and flicked through the footage, coming to the part that she meant. “Rel ducked and then the Sidhe threw the cart,” Mik commented.“Mm, Rel was abused from an early age,” Mari reached into her stack of files and handed on to Mik, “It started as verbal abuse and neglect, turned physical when he was six and sexual when he was ten. His father’s sins created the perfect vehicle for his genius. His imagination was his existence and his interaction with our world has been purely on necessity.”Mik read the file, “genius but read at a first grade level until he was twelve?”“His father got bored with him and turned to his younger brother. When the brother… died… Rel was put into grief counselling and it was his councillor that translated for Rel. Three months later he was reading beyond a grade twelve level. He spent two years in high school only as a show. Six months to complete his degree one more to take away his masters. By then he had a following of seniors who recognised he was beyond his years and formed around him. With them, he built his first company. Gave them their first idea and showed them how to survive. They are now the multi-national advertising company that runs every news station in Norash.”“And this intelligence bit?” Mik asked, “the. Imagination?”“Rel is highly religious. Illuva. The father rapes the child. He believes in her, is devote to her. So much that he changed his original surname, Leaingth, to DeAniege.”“Leaingth sounds like…”“Descendants of the LeAniege line, which hasn’t the power or capability to be considered Aniege by any standard, by Illuva’s decree they were forced to change their name and were not permitted to breed freely. Two children a generation. One of those children may breed. Rel was the chosen child to breed. He can’t disown his family, Illuva does not permit it. So they have had their fingers in everything.“He recently completed his second masters degree, this one in bioscience. The first being in art with a minor in economics. He got married to a lovely woman and six months later took up an affair with his tennis instructor. Male. Tennis instructor. Through publicity he discovered that his wife was also having an affair with his tennis instructor. Turns out the woman had convinced the man to do it so that she could divorce Rel and take his millions.”“Like he couldn’t simply make more?”“He does own every major corporation that exists. He also. Technically, now owns the program. But we’re not telling him that part. His yearly allowance will do more for us than the government budget and Jay’s financing multiplied three fold.”“How’d he end up here?”“Night the divorce was finalized, the wife and the tennis instructor were getting cozy in the flat the bitch bought with his money when. Supposedly, Rel burst in and killed them both, very slowly and very painfully while receiving not a scratch or bruise himself. Cameras cut out, power was out, security was out.”“Sounds Sidhe done.”Both looked at one another and then dismissed the possibility.“Sidhe done leaves a bloody mess but it doesn’t throw the bits around the room. His balls were in her mouth, her head was cut off and stuffed on an antique candelabra. The word ‘whore’ was written in blood on the wall.”“The killer took all utensils with him?” Mik read the bit and turned that over in his mind, “wait. The killer took her silverware with him?”“It was later found at Rel’s fairly large mansion, which he hadn’t been to in some time, he claimed. Not looking good for the kid already, he had no alibi. They carted him off and his lawyer, a good friend of his from school seemingly made no attempt to actually defend him while Rel accepts it all and takes the sentence, not only with his head held high but asking for the execution. He fucks with his lawyer-”“How?”“Verbally, Rel is very good at manipulating the moronic masses of the people,” Mari responded, “lawyer runs off thinking he’s about to make a lot of money. In steps a public defender, Rahluen. They aren’t supposed to be lawyers because they’re supposed to be unbiased towards all sinners. So, he goes about searching for the evidence to get Rel out, puts out stays of executions. Nothing’s working. Apparently Rel’s wife was not only a manipulative, lying bitch, she was also a whore. A high paid one, I might add.“Rahluen finds the evidence but magically it disappears. Traces it back to the old lawyer and suddenly the man shows up, black blue and broken all over, at a police station, confessing the destruction of evidence. Rel’s kept on death row but with no possible execution in sight. Rahluen contacted us when we put out the word.”“And I thought my life was bad.”“For someone who reads people well, Rel does badly with men who show an interest in him. He’s pleased easily and will give over dominance to any man who tries to take it because he lacks a backbone. At the same time, it makes him a good candidate for a partner, if he weren’t a death row inmate.”“How so?”“Supposedly you and he have a similar personality,” Mari said, cocking her head just slightly to the side as she spoke, “I should get this down. Almost time to feed them again. Have to be prompt about feeding, get them into the schedule and get that male fed.”“Right,” Mik watched her go and then muttered to himself, “I’ll just wait… here… not like I’ve got an embassy to run or anything. Nope. Just a guy sitting on a desk. Waiting for a lady to come back.”.
