The Hero and The Villain

A/N: This ended up being MUCH shorter tha I had planned but...I REALLY liked where it ended and considering that there are MANY, MANY more of these to come I thought you guys wouldn't mind a quickie as it were ;)

His lair was too…bland. There needed to be color somewhere among all the white and chrome that had come to dominate his work space. His bedroom by comparison was masculine and hodgepodge. There was already plenty of color there as it was mostly a homey collection of worn knit blankets, eclectic art he’d stolen from other suites and personal effects from a life he hadn’t lived in years. But his lair…it needed a pop.

Vi frowned as he chewed on a mouthful of his morning cereal, chest bare and sleep pants low on his hips as he contemplated the space around him. This morning he was alone, though the various hickey’s that covered his pale skin testified that he certainly wouldn’t stay that way for long. He seemed especially happy about one on his hip bone, reaching down to pet it absently between bites. It was the darkest of all the other bruises and very recent. Hero had put it there just yesterday actually after Vi had goaded him a bit about giving better head. Coincidentally, Hero had given him better head as a result. He always knew his lover couldn’t resist a challenge.

Smirking to himself as he examined his various love bites affectionately he realized what color he wanted to paint the wall that served as the backdrop for the chrome shelves that held his various tools and parts. Whistling merrily he tossed his bowl into the sink to wash later and went to make a phone call to the maintenance department.

“Hello, how many shades of purple do you have?”
