Love Begets Love

The past.


Eric started to wake up. He tried to feel himself and he discovered that he is all tied up in a chair, with a gag and a blindfold. He was disoriented. He tried to recall what happened.

He was supposed to meet Adrian that night. They were to see each other under the bridge. He had everything ready. Plane tickets, and some clothes. Whatever the cost, he wanted to be with Adrian. No matter how wrong it is. He will take good care of Adrian and the family that they will have. So he took his car and went to the place. He does not want Adrian to wait so he arrived there early.

Then he remembered the three burly men who approached him and told him to be quiet. The men then blindfolded him and took him to the car and a needle was pricked on his shoulder. He tried to fight them but they were so strong. The last thing he remembered before losing consciousness was the car starting to move away from the place.

“Adrian!” Eric suddenly remembered his love! Adrian is supposed to meet him there! He tried to thrash with his bonds but his efforts became futile. Adrian could be in danger!

Then after some time, the door opened was opened. Then he heard thrashing on the other side of the room.

“Who are you?! What do you want from me!” A- Adrian! I- it’s Adrian’s voice!

His baby is in the other side of the room! What do they want from them?! Why are they doing this?! He needs to do something! He has to save Adrian!

He heard Adrian begging and crying and just could not take it anymore!

He heard everything. He heard Adrian’s painful cries, he heard Adrian call his name for help. He heard how the man took Adrian without mercy. He was crying so hard that he could not do anything at all while his precious angel was being taken against his will.

He is helpless and useless. He brought this to Adrian. But his baby does not deserve to be treated like this! Adrian is so pure and innocent. So fragile. If only they could trade places. He will do anything to save his baby from this faith!

He was going insane! Every single time that the man took Adrian, Eric was there. Not being able to see or speak, but was able to hear everything! That man has no right!

Eric could no longer take it anymore. He kept on blaming himself. He was crying all the time. He was so stupid to think that they could love freely. This is their punishment. But why Adrian? He would gladly take it all. No matter what the cost. But to hear his baby suffering became too much to bear for Eric. It went on for days, and he was already getting crazy! He can’t take this anymore! Adrian does not deserve to be treated like this!

He should be the only one to be blamed for this. He was the one who could not control his feelings for the younger man. Even knowing that Adrian is already married, he still pursued him. And now this is what their punishment is.

Even if he survived, he will not stop blaming himself for this.

The present.


“I should not have left him in the house. T- this is all my fault.” Charles said as he slumped into one corner of the wall of the house. Rufus already left and Charles just doesn’t know what to do right now.

“Charles…” Cleo sat next to him. “Stop blaming yourself.”

“How could you not be angry at me? I failed you. I promised you I will take good care of him. If- if only I knew this would happen, I should not have taken him away with me.” Charles said in between tears. “I can’t live without him. I just can’t.”

“Shut up! Instead of being weak, why don’t you stand up and do something?!” Cleo is losing his patience. All he wants is to have Jeremy and the baby back safe.

“I- if they kidnapped him for ransom, w- why are they not calling still?! Cleo, I am willing to pay even if it would cost me everything! I just want my family back!”

“Then do something! Don’t just sit here defeated!”


“Y- you’re right. I- I will find him… No matter what it takes. I will find him.” Charles assured himself. “And everything will be okay. I swear I will never leave him alone again.”

Several days passed. Jeremy is getting better. He wanted so much to get out of the place and he is certain that his grandfather and Charles are looking for him and his baby. So he knew that he should not give up hope. He needs to be strong for his baby. Adrien. He and Charles already planned the baby’s name. If the baby will be a boy, he will be Adrien, after his late uncle. If a girl, she will be named Adrianna.

Gael would sometimes be kind to bring the baby to the room and would allow him to hold his baby for a while. As if his cousin is having a dual personality. But he just could not understand why Gael, his own cousin would want him that way. He knew that Gael lusted for him but he never thought that it would come this far. It is just so wrong!

Jeremy cherished the time he spends with Adrien. Adrien, is so tiny, being premature, because of the forced birth, but nonetheless, the baby is healthy. Charles really took good care of him when he was carrying Adrien. He just could not help but smile to the memories. Charles really love him so much. He was having major tantrums during the first quarter of his pregnancy and Charles had been very patient with him.

He just can’t wait to be with Charles again. But he dreads the moment when Gael would really ask him the one thing which he could not even imagine.

Gael is sitting on the couch, drinking alone. It is already late and he is still in the cabin. He is certain that Jeremy is already sleeping. He is trying to fight his inner demons. He could not even understand himself. Ever since they were young, he knew that he is really attracted to his cousin. He tried to fight what he felt for so long. But the more he fought for it, the more his feelings grew stronger for Jeremy. It is very wrong. Considering that they are cousins. And there was one person who first told him how to accept his own feelings. He could still remember that day. Jeremy was dancing with his father during his fourteenth birthday and everybody just can’t help but stare in awe at the young beauty. Gael was no exception.

He is just in one corner, standing and looking straight at Jeremy. It’s as if he is the only person in the whole ballroom.

“ He is so beautiful. You wanted him.” The man whispered in his ears.

Gael looked at the man. “N- No!” Gael was surprised that somebody noticed how he looked at his cousin. He is always careful not to let other people know! “I mean… h- he is indeed beautiful but he is my cousin!” He answered defensively.

“So what? You can have him if you wanted to. I will even be proud of you.”

Gael tried to avoid seeing Jeremy after that. Because every passing day, he just can’t help but fall for him more. He would imagine Jeremy in his bed naked, and shouting his name as he make love to him.

His grandfather did not make things easier for him. He would always be reprimanded for every little mistake that he made. And he swore to himself that he will someday make his grandfather beg for forgiveness for the cold and harsh treatment that he got from him.

“You are so lost in your thoughts.” Gael did not expect the man to be there now.

“G- grandpa. I- I did not hear you enter.” Gael said as he stood up to face the man.
