Zev walked down the hall, he was clicking through the contents on his phone. It had been a few days but he was bored as hell now. He walked out the doors and up to the bleachers; his ears could hear the couch shouting at someone as he rounded the corner. Then he saw Ransom. “What did he do this time?”
“He dropped a stink bomb in the teacher’s lounge when the couch was in there.”
“Damn.”
“Yeah you’ll be saying more once you get a whiff of the coach.”
“I’ll try not to.”
“He’s in a foul mood so be careful.”
“I’ll try.” He walked past the two and into the locker room where he got changed. “Practice isn’t the same anyways.”
“Tell me about it.”
Ransom was sitting on the bench outside the room. “So?”
“Akira called last night to talk to Marianela. He told her how there’s two colored winged people and there in this never ending argument. There was one when he was little it lasted almost ten years, and that would explain why it took so long for his dad to find him.” Zev closed his locker and walked out with his water bottle slung over his shoulder. “Not to mention there’s an idiot there who eats too much green and that there’s not enough meat.”
“Well when he gets back I guess I’ll have to make him a good welcome home dinner yeah?”
“It can be a party too.”
“With everyone there.”
“Did you forget Yuki’s not big on parties?” They both looked at Marianela and sighed. “How about a very small welcome home get together.”
“That would work.”
Zev nodded and grinned, “Of course Marianela can help with the cooking.”
“I had better.”
“Of course, mother will want to help.” He sighed as he can hear her already.
“That’s right your sibs will be born soon.”
The wolf nodded, “He’ll be back in January, so they’ll be two months old.”
“Marianela doesn’t Akira like kids.”
“He’s very protective over those younger than him.”
“Then why does he bite my head off.”
Marianela smiled and pat Ransom on the head. “Because he knows you can take it.”
“Hyatt, Thomas, get your asses moving! The last met is this weekend!”
“Yes sir!” They jogged over to the track.
~~~~~~~~
The idea of the party made it to everyone who knew Akira had left and everyone planned to be there to welcome him home. Mitch especially liked the idea; he walked over to Jett with a mug in hand. “Here.”
“What is it?” The black haired male sounded stuffed up.
“Chicken soup.” He sat next to Jett, “It’ll make your throat feel better and warm you up.”
“Ass.” Jett sneezed and Mitch handed him the tissue box. “Thanks.” He sat the mug down and blew his nose, Mitch just picked the waist bin up and he dropped it into the bin. “Damn boss had to come to work sick, grrrrrrr. Damn him!”
“Now now Jett.” Mitch kissed him on the cheek and he smiled.
“Be careful or you’ll end up sick.”
“If I do you’ll take good care of me.”
“Sorry I’ve got work, you’ll have to take care of yourself.”
Mitch sighed, “So harsh… I still love you.”
“I know.” Jett looked at him and smiled. “When I get better let’s do something.”
“Okay.”
~~~~~~~~
Rune practically ran down the hall looking for Keir, only to run face first into him. He caught Rune before he fell over. “Hey I found you!”
He shook his head and placed him back on his feet. “Yes you have.”
“Hey did you hear?”
“Yes, Zev just told me.”
“I’d bring the band but that would be over doing it.” The small male sighed as he looked away. “But anyways can you come to the club this weekend. They liked us so much they want us to play again.”
“I’ll try. I have classes that night.”
“Okay.” Rune grinned and started shifting from foot to foot. “So what were you doing?”
“I was about to go get mother some water for her plants.”
“Can I help?”
“Sure.”
~~~~~~~~
Marianela sat up and looked at Ransom. “What time is it?”
Ransom muttered something and curled up on the blanket they had laid out on the grass. Sometime after practice they had made their way to the park to enjoy the park in its fall look, and they had falling asleep on the blanket.
“Ransom!”
He sat up and yawned as he looked at her, “What?”
“Time?”
“Almost six. Why?”
“Shit! Come on we need to get home.” She was pushing him off the blanket and rolling it up at the same time.
“But I’m sleepy.”
“Sleep in the car I’ll drive.” He smiled and nodded as he got up. They quickly made their way to the car. Ransom stopped her and she looked at him. “What is it?”
“Thanks.”
“What for?”
“For putting up with me.”
“You should also say that to Yuki.”
“He’s not the one I got a crush on!” He blushed and looked away. She watched as he started messing with the ring on his thumb.
Marianela stopped his hand, “I know.”
She wrapped her arms around him and kissed him on the cheek. “Maria.” He hugged her back. “Let’s get home before Jett sends out Mitch.”
“That wouldn’t be a good thing.” They got in the car and left.
Akira rubbed his eyes and growled as he slammed the book shut. “What the hell is wrong with people?”
Cyan looked at Akira he had a yellowing bruise on his face. He had made the mistake of trying to wake him up. “What are you pissed off about?”
“This history. Nothing but stupidity!”
“You wouldn’t be the first to think that.” Daisuke muttered from where he was at. He was laying out on the couch his hat covered his face.
“Why hasn’t anyone tried to fix these problems then?”
“Because some people are just too damn stubborn.” The sleeping male muttered from the couch. “You do realize that you’re not reading.”
The brunette looked at him, something was just bugging him. “What was she like?”
“Who?”
Cyan had stood up and left the room. “My mother?”
He watched as the other male sat up and pulled his hat away from his face. Those black eyes looked lonelier then he had ever seen. “Her name was Ellen Lirit. She was against the things her family taught her. The black sheep of her family, there are times where I wish she never left her family.” The smile was a sad one. “But then again she was a stubborn one.”
Akira looked at the book and he tapped his finger against the table. He opened it and looked at Daisuke, “She stood up right?”
“Yeah.”
“Marianela would think she was cool.”
Daisuke looked at him, “I guess.”
His gray eyes skimmed over the words, “It just said that when something happened they would blame it on the other person.”
“Pretty much it.”
“What about when Davion went missing?”
“Yep it happened.”
“What about the spat that last for ten years?”
“It was over something stupid, they were fighting over a spot of land because someone said someone else was trying to take it when it was supposed to be neutral.”
“Huh?”
“Here.” He stood up and flipped through the pages. “Right here, this is the Black wings lands and this is White wings lands. Then right here is the land their fight over.”
“That little thing?”
“Yep.”
“Well damn just cut the thing in half!”
“If it was that simple it would have been done. Davion is trying to fix it though.”
“He said I'm like him.”
“Well he thinks you’re like him but he doesn’t know your half and half.”
“But he knows you’re my parent.”
“Yes because he found out what me and Ellen tried to do; now he wants to help.”
“What about mother?”
“He doesn’t know that she is.”
“What will happen if he does?”
“Not much, he likes you.”
“I don’t do younger.”
“You’re not going to surprise me, Mitch already spilled.”
“Damn it…” Akira watched as he walked over to the fridge and pulled it open.
“Look at it this way; be glad I’m not my father.” He pulled out a glass bottle and closed the door, “But then again he’s dead and you have an uncle who is a father of three and a pain in my ass.”
“Sounds like a nice family.” He flipped through the pages and then shut the book. “I’m tired.”
“Night.”
He waved and walked down the hall. Daisuke popped the top off just as Flare walked in. “Let me guess he asked about Ellen.”
“Yes.” He took a drink and then dropped onto the couch. “He’s been brought up right. I’m glad.”
“I heard the last part.”
“I don’t care.” He took a drink. “Besides we all have our preferences.” The male took another drink and she grabbed the bottle from him.
“And you’re an evil bitch when you have a hangover. One and no more.” Flare walked off to her room and closed the door.
“Only one.” He grinned with his eyes closed. “What a shame.”
^^^^^
Keir stood outside the club; he was wearing a black short sleeve button up with a dark blue long sleeve shirt underneath it. His pants were black and fit him, his shoes were black, and he was wearing his studded collar and cross again. He walked up showed his ID and walked in. The music was loud as he walked up to a guy standing off to the side. “What?” There was flashing lights and smoke floated up to the ceiling.
“I’m Keir Thomas.”
He watched as the man picked up a clip board and looked over the names. “Go back.” The man pulled the curtain to the side and Keir walked back. He followed the hall and came to a stop as he heard someone shouting.
“What the hell is wrong with him?”
“What now?”
“That creepy dude keeps coming to my place looking for you!”
“Call the cops I don’t care. He was an ass.”
Keir walked up to a door and knocked on it. “Who is it?”
“Rune.”
The door swung open and Rune pulled him in, he quickly looked up and down the halls and then closed the door. “You’re early!”
“Class was canceled.”
“Let me guess new boyfriend.” A silver haired male asked as he looked at them, with green eyes, in the reflection of the mirror. His shirt was a red button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up and he had on dark blue jeans. The shoes he wore were black and red.
“Shut up, Silver!” Rune had on a red and black sleeveless shirt with black shorts and black skate shoes. A belt was holding his shorts up and a chain went from the belt to the lowest pocket on the side of the shorts. The two glared at each other and one more stepped between the two. The two males we’re tall compared to Rune. Both of them were six feet.
“Please boys calm down.” He was the peace keeper in the group. The brown haired, black eyed, male pushed the silver haired male back into his seat. This male wore glasses, not the thick ones but the thin wire ones and they looked really good on him. He was quiet and he had on a red shirt with black pants and black shoes.
Keir wrapped his arms around Rune and with a smirk spoke, “What’s so wrong with that?”
The small male went red in the face and Silver growled as he stood back up. The brunette was trying to get him to sit back down. “Let go Arius!”
“No. Please just sit down.” The door opened and a woman walked in, Keir looked at her over his shoulder and she nodded to him.
He nodded back. “Rune, is this a friend of yours?”
“Yes.” She caught the blush.
“Please take care of him he needs a nice person in his life.”
“Harmony!” The woman had dark brown hair and black eyes. She was in a red and black corset and baggy black with red edged pants. Her hair draped down her back, and even she was taller than Rune.
“I’ll do everything I can.”
“Keir!”
He looked at the smaller male, “Yes.”
Rune blushed and looked away, “Nothing.”
There was a knock and the door opened, “You have five.”
“Got it.” It was Arius that answered.
Keir let go of Rune as the others walked past, Silver bumped into Keir. They looked at each other and then he left. “Silver is just making sure nothing happens to split the band. Can I talk to you after we play?”
“Why?”
“I need to ask you something.”
“I’ll wait for you by my car.”
“Okay.” The two went their ways and Keir sat at a table in the back. He had can sitting in front of him when the band started to play. Silver was on lead guitar, Arius was on bass guitar, Harmony played the drums, and, well, Rune was lead singer. Keir couldn’t take his eyes off of Rune as the young male started to sing.
The crowd was enjoying the music and when they tried to leave the crowd started to holler for more. A local band getting this much attention was bond to get noticed. It would be good if they got noticed. Rune would be happy; he finished his drink and tipped his head to the side as he thought. Would Rune be happy?
He stood and as he walked out of the building tossed his drink can into the trash. The male walked over to his car and stood there. Keir didn’t have to wait long, he saw Rune run out of the building and he heard it. “Rune!”
The dark haired male stopped and turned around. Keir saw him before Rune did, “Rune, I’m over here!”
His purple eyes found Keir standing next to his car. He waved and then a hand touched his shoulder, “Rune.” Rune looked at the man and backed away. “Rune, let’s not make a scene and go home.”
“No.”
“Rune…”
“Leave me alone!”
“Please Rune; I’m sorry about hitting you.”
“You say that all the time, I’m tired of it!” He started to walk away. “Just leave me alone!”
The man grabbed his arm and turned him around. “Listen to me!”
“Help…”
Keir grabbed the male’s arm and pulled it away from Rune, he watched as his face twisted in pain. “Ow.”
“Rune, get in the car.”
“Okay.” He ran over to it and quickly climbed into the front seat.
“Leave him alone.”
“No, this is between me and him. Stay out of it!”
“It became my problem when you brought it onto my front yard.” Keir’s grip tightened and he smirked when the guy whimpered. “Hurts don’t it?”
“Let go, you’re going to break my arm!”
“I’ll do more than that if you don’t back off.”
“I will just let go!”
He let go and walked over to his car, opened the door and sat behind the wheel. “You okay?”
“Yeah.”
Rune looked at Keir, “If he doesn’t leave you alone, tell me.”
“But…”
“For him the next move will be worse than this.” Keir reached over to the glove compartment and opened it. He pulled out a slim metal pipe. It was a quarter inch thick and three inches long. “Here, I’ll hear it from anywhere in the city.”
“Is this a…?”
“Yeah, dad got two for me and Zev.” He turned on the car and backed out of the parking spot. “I’ve never needed it growing up, but Zev used it a lot. His was bent out of shape when he wrecked his car years ago; mine has sat in there for too long.”
“I can have it.”
“Yes.”
“So cool.” He held the whistle up and looked at it. “I should give you something but I don’t have anything to give.” There was a sound and Rune started laughing. Keir looked at him. “Damn it!” The dark haired male reached up his shirt and pulled his squirrel out by the tail. “Will you quit that?”
The squirrel made as series of sounds and Rune glared at the animal.
“I think I need to toss you into your little house back home.”
The black haired male gave a smile and shook his head. “You want to go home?”
“Please.” He guessed Rune forgot what he wanted to ask after what happened.
~~~~~~~
Akira stumbled into the room. He had read about everything in a week and then he gets his ass kicked around like a rag doll. Dropping onto his bed he sighed and let his body rest, tomorrow will be another hard day. His body was already aching.

“So cool.” He held the whistle up and looked at it. “I should give you something but I don’t have anything to give.” There was a sound and Rune started laughing. Keir looked at him. “Damn it!” The dark haired male reached up his shirt and pulled his squirrel out by the tail. “Will you quit that?”
The squirrel made as series of sounds and Rune glared at the animal.
“I think I need to toss you into your little house back home.”
The black haired male gave a smile and shook his head. “You want to go home?”
“Please.” He guessed Rune forgot what he wanted to ask after what happened.
