Chapter 14

I turned to run when an ugly snarling beast appeared before me, it let out thundering roar I froze in my place this was a different creature it sounded nothing like the monster I had heard moments before; standing on its hind legs, chest heaving as drool escaped from the curving razor sharp teeth it attacked hitting me down in an attempt to kill me but as I dodged its attack which hit me hard enough to know some ribs were broken, adrenaline was pumping through my veins as I stood up and levitated myself over this beast of a creature, I was on the ground again when it turned to face me when I acted fast; I slashed the sword side to side and lunged forward after missing both times when to my surprise a blast of light escaped from the sword and hit the snarling creature which was lunging towards me, it stopped suddenly and had a look of confusion on its face; ice quickly formed on its paws up its legs surrounding its body encasing the creature in ice, it looked exactly like an ice sculpture would except it was an ugly best like creature which wasn’t exactly a dog or wolf or even a gargoyle or dragon with out the wings but its skin looked leathery under the ice, I wasted no time in hitting it with the full force of my sword. I watched as it smashed into a million teeny tiny pieces. I sighed in relief, I guess I learnt my lesson for speaking to soon.
Before I could recover from the fight I had just encountered I felt adrenaline kick in again as the screeching started again, like it was getting closer I searched the skies and nothing was there; I ran like the wind towards the castle as it got larger in size the wall around it was made visible, how to get in? I had no time to find a door or attempt to climb the wall as the pain began to kick in with every step I took so I did what anyone person would do I levitated my self into the air and flew over the wall, as I did this I was getting weaker; the weaker I get the less I can use my power. I made it halfway to the ground before falling to the floor; I slowly crawled to the trees and hid in the shadows I collapsed behind a large juniper tree the last thing I could see was black!
