I Hate You
Fuji looked over the railing on the roof of the private school. Below her girls left the schoolyard to enjoy their one week of summer vacation. Fuji tried to act as mature as possible about it all, but one week was ridiculous. Yuki and Shai had three weeks off for summer break, Fuji was only going to receive one week. One week! Only one week to cherish her time away from the ever faithful Danko, who had been weaseling herself slowly into Fuji’s life. Fuji had even begun to find herself laughing with Danko as she stepped down the hallways with her, going from one class to another. Most of the girls stayed away from Fuji, like it was automatically known she was Danko’s woman and that everyone should stay away from her. Danko was her only friend at this school, and she hated her.
Fuji climbed up the railing and looked further down the building, watching everyone scurrying away like little ants. The wind swept upwards and through her hair. For a moment she closed her eyes and imagined what it would feel like to soar on that wind, to be a bird and to just fly away.
“Planning to jump?” Danko’s voice asked from the top of the stairwell.
“No,” Fuji said blandly, “I was wondering if I pushed you if you would enjoy a moment of freefalling before you hit the ground.”
“You just are not as proper as you would have one assume,” Danko laughed, going up to the railing and leaning against it. Fuji lowered herself down so she was on flat feet on the roof.
“Only when you are around,” Fuji snapped. “Why did you call me up here, Danko?”
Danko laughed and leaned her back against the railing. “I wanted to have my way with you,” she laughed.
Fuji rolled her eyes and sat down on the curb of the roof, stretching her legs out in front of her. “Right,” Fuji said. “Then go ahead.”
Danko seemed to be taken aback by Fuji’s bluntness. She looked down at the girl, watching Fuji pull up the length of her skirt, exposing most of her thigh until a small glimpse of black panties showed underneath. “Don’t act like that, Fuji,” Danko snapped, turning to look back over the roof and ignoring the younger girl’s figure sitting there in a terribly seductive position for someone so innocent.
“Act like what?” Fuji asked, taking a deep breath that lifted her cleavage higher than was necessary. “Like Kaori?”
Danko’s hands tightened on the railing, her anger very apparent. “Don’t mention her,” she snarled.
“You are the one who thought of her,” Fuji snarled back. “You are the one who is trying to use me to replace her because you had her sent away.” Fuji suddenly stood and turned to face Danko. It was not equal ground, with the younger girl nearly ten inches shorter than the older one, but Fuji’s stance said she was ready for any type of fight, whether it be verbal or physical. “Let me tell you something, Danko, I’m not Kaori. Now that you have not had your way, you are going to try to do whatever you can to get rid of me. It’s not going to happen. You only offered Kaori a way to escape with Nakago, and what do you plan to do with me?”
Danko stared down at the girl, debating for a few minutes on what to say next. “Fuji,” she finally said, a small smile on her face, “is it so hard to believe that I might be interested in you?”
“Yes, it’s very hard to believe,” Fuji snapped. “You have tried to make my life, and my friends’ lives, miserable. You have goaded me and lead me into the fights with you, and the two of us have never gotten along, ever. So why would you have interest in me?”
“Because you are all of the things I could not be,” Danko pointed out. “That, and you are terribly sexy for a prissy bitch.”
“I’ve had enough.” Fuji pushed herself away from the wall of the roof and began her way back to the stairwell. She had enough of this conversation.
Danko caught Fuji’s arm and pulled her to her, holding her close in her arms. Fuji struggled, but compared to the older girl she was a weakling, and when she could not catch Danko by surprise she could not fight back. Danko lifted Fuji and slammed her into the wall, with enough force that it would leave a bruise later. Danko pressed her body against Fuji’s lifted body and looked up at her, though it was hard to meet her eyes with the breasts in the way. “I want you Fuji, and one way or another, I will have you.”
“Get in line,” Fuji snapped, doing her best to kick her leg and move Danko aside. Danko slowly began to slide Fuji back down onto her feet, but as she did she was slowly lifting Fuji’s blouse and exposing the black bra beneath. “Get a good look,” Fuji told her. “This is the only time you will see them.”
“Fine then,” Danko said, and with that she yanked the bra down and over Fuji’s breasts. “Let me see them.” Danko looked down at the creamy white breasts and if she had been a man there would have been every sign of evidence that she wanted to take Fuji’s body right there atop the roof.
Danko began to run her hands over the breasts, teasing the nipples that were growing hard in the summer air. “I said look,” Fuji said, pulling her blouse down, Danko’s hands still over her breasts. “It’s time to go now, if you have nothing else to say, I’m leaving.”
“I will have you,” Danko called after Fuji’s departing figure. “I will.”
“No you won’t,” Fuji called back, letting the door of the roof slam shut behind her. “I hate you!” Fuji screamed through the door in a moment of sheer anger. In the whim of that anger Fuji threw the lock from the inside, then stuck her tongue out at the closed door. “Climb down the wall,” she snarled, then walked away.
Halfway out of the school guilt began to eat at her, for locking the girl out on the roof. Fuji hated herself for being so vindictive, for being so cold. She turned to the first teacher she saw and said, “Mr. Odagiri, there is a girl locked out on the roof, you might want to open the door for her,” in the most pleasant voice she could muster. She then ran out of the building, her good deed done though Danko would never know the one who locked the door was also the one who made sure it was unlocked later.
