(12) Just another Day

**
DanishGirl: here iss the class scene you wanted. I hope it comes close to what you wanted it to be like.

RoseRed: Each person reacts different to such abuse. Nick is acting in a simular fashion that many who have a history of abusive relationships. If he just does what Michael wants him to do then Michael won\'t hurt him. His mother had done nearly the same thing with Nick\'s father, though Nick does refuse to beg. Rape is just another form of abuse, more brutal than some, but just as terrifying.

Somechick: Jason and Norris aren\'t going to be getting pregnant. After the Great War Michael\'s race is left with more women than men. The genetics of his people over rule any other genetics mixed so that no matter how diluted it might be, they are still pure. (Now, saying all this without actually giving important stuff away... heh)
I won\'t say what he is, I will say that I write more fantasy than scifi. So, while he talks about his \'planet\' think of it as more an alternate world. Like the demon world and the human world on Kyo Kara Maoh!. ^_^**

“Later, if you want, we can see if you have the ability to Shadow Dance. We’ll give it a couple more days, which should give you plenty of time to absorb the necessary elements.”

Nick brightened at the idea of being able to Shadow Dance by himself. He’s still not certain about this, him having powers, but at the same time he’s excited. How had things gotten so far off course.

“Now, did you want to finish watching the movie? You still have an hour before you have to be home.”

Nick turns around in Michael’s lap so that he’s facing the other, his legs wrapping around his waist. He leans forward, his lips a breath away from Michael’s.

“Do you think we have enough time for this?”

He touches Michael’s lips and pushes them back against the couch. He can feel Michael smile through the kiss.

~I think we do.~

**************************

Nick had been gone only a few minutes when Michael heard Jason return. Norris was about ten minutes after him. Michael is confident that things are working out the way they should. In a few months he’ll take Jason and Norris home, set them up with a ‘family’ and in a year’s time have babies running around his castle.

The thought of babies brings a smile to his lips as he lays in bed, but at the same time it fills him with sadness. He had lost his cyley, his little beloved, some years ago. She had been killed before she could have children of her own. For that reason alone he hates his father and the Masked gods, yet the loss of his child is but one on a long list of reasons.
The next day at school Michael fixes it so that he and Nick are in at least one class together.

Nick walks into his art class, it’s one of those classes that you take when you want to sleep all through class. A breeze by class. Nick had taken it because he really wanted to learn how to paint and draw. So far he hadn’t learned anything. He’s surprised when he notices Michael in the room. When had they started taking classes together?

~Good afternoon, meili.~

He doesn’t answer Michael right away, instead he takes his time setting things up to paint on canvas. He knows that Michael had to of manipulated someone to get his classes changed this close to the end of the school year, and graduation.

~Are you trying to ignore me, ceylo?~

~Yes, but I’m not succeeding am I? If you don’t mind, I’m actually trying to learn something here.~

Nick glares at Michael out of the corner of his eyes, refusing to care that Michael is wearing a white muscle shirt that clings to him. He opens the text book, glancing up at Peterson, their teacher, who is sleeping at his desk. The idiot teacher is always sleeping during class, he’s worse than the students.

~Fine, I won’t bother you then.~

Nick actually believed Michael. Not long after Michael speaks a highly erotic images appears in Nick’s mind. It involves Michael and himself.

~Michael…~

~What?~

The image comes to life in Nick’s mind. It doesn’t seem to matter how much he tries to ignore it, it seems to steal away his attention and try to keep it. The images in his head actually start to turn him on. He doesn’t want it, especially not at the moment. Nick really does like his art class, even if his drawings are worse than a five year olds, he still likes to try.

Michael’s image in his mind is messing up his concentration and he can’t stand it.

~I can get soap to clean it out. I really do have work to do.~

Michael continues to mess with him like that for a few more minutes before Nick’s impatience turns to down right anger. How dare Michael disrupt the one class he actually enjoys.

Working on mostly instinct, Nick draws in the images, the emotions and sensations with it. With anger he shoves the images back to Michael. Nick hears a strange sound and turns around and isn’t the only one. Everyone looks at Michael who’s eyes are half open and lips parted just slightly.

“Oh, sorry, I just remembered I forgot something.”

Everyone looks away, excepting Michael’s excuse.

~That wasn’t fair, you caught me off guard.~

~What did I do?~

Nick asks, not really sure what he did. He can hear Michael laugh in his mind.

~My pants are wet and it wasn’t because of my bladder.~

Nick looks down at his study book and struggles not to blush. He had made Michael come right in the middle of class! The urge to blush faces as a smile tugs the corner of his lips. It’s just a little funny. He had turned Michael’s own game against him.

~Interrupt me during class again and I’ll do it to you again. And then I’ll make sure everyone notices your ‘wet’ pants.~

Michael laughs but doesn’t mess with Nick during the rest of school. Nick lets Michael know he appreciates the gesture by kissing his cheek softly when they come together after school. Several kids in the school yard notice them, but say nothing. They aren’t bothered by the sight of them together. Rumor had all ready made it’s way through the school that they are an item.
It’s only his grandparents that would care.

“Jason and Norris are going to join us this evening.”

Michael says as they slip into the shadows, coming out in the living room of Michael’s home.

“That’s fine, but they don’t touch me. You are the only one who touches me.”

Nick said, the look on his face gives no leeway. He may have to allow Michael to touch him, and for the most part he may not mind it, but he won’t let anyone else touch him.

“All right. I’m going to cook something for dinner, what sounds good? We have steak, frozen pizza, frozen burrito’s.”
Nick makes a face as they walk into the kitchen.

“Steak sounds good, just make certain that it’s well cooked. Went to a restaurant one time and they served me steak that was still bleeding. I don’t like blood on anything that I’m going to eat.”

Michael smirks and takes the steaks out of the freezer. He had had to throw away the steaks from the previous night. The neighbor’s dog had enjoyed them. Nick sits down at the small kitchen table, four chairs encircle it.

Jason and Norris come not long after that and when the food is done they all four eat at the table. Nick leaves early, telling Michael that with the other two he doesn’t need him. Michael had smiled and kissed him softly, then let him go. The whole time Michael had watched Nick walk away he had regretted not putting up a fight.

Nick discovers, when he walks home, that Michael’s house isn’t all that far from his home. Close enough that he can walk, but far enough away that it takes fifteen minutes to walk.

It’s seven in the evening when Nick walks into his grandparents home. Both of his grandparents are waiting in the living room for him. He goes to say hi to them but the look on his grandfather’s face stops him.

“What is this I hear about you having a ‘boyfriend’?”

Nick refuses to let his expression change, but all the while his mind turns. How had his grandfather find out? Had he been checking up on him? Had they trusted him so little that they had gone behind his back and checked up on him?

His mother had talked about how her parents had always checked up on her. She had never been allowed a moments peace. And now they are messing in his life. It’s not like he wanted Michael in his life, it’s not like he wanted it so complicated.

Why is it everything seems to be against Nick?

“Well, speak up, boy. Do you have a boyfriend?”

His grandfather’s eyes practically glow while he’s in his zealot anger.
