Suryallee kept me company for an hour. Due to timing others couldn't make it. Lesigh. But it was fairly short notice. So I'm going to try for the weekend of the 31/1. I thought it would be a clever idea to do one in the middle of the day my time on the 31, then I realised it was halloween and rolled my eyes at my forgetfulness. Let me know if a time will work for you that weekend. As I have no plans at all... Well I might have plans, but I'll work around you guys. Suryallee also earned herself another cookie. Not for attending the chat, but in amongst the conversation. This is short. Due to being in the chat and the fact that typing is a bit painful due to a ... well an finger problem. So. Short. Read, Review and Enjoy.Mik went back into the living room and dropped onto his couch. Mari left and Paw came in and flopped down beside Mik. Mik stared at the coffee table, his head turned just slightly. Paw had a sad look on his face and Mik tried, for the moment, to pretend he didn’t notice. And then his moment of self pity, or whatever the hell it was, had passed and he put an arm around Paw and gave the Sidhe’s temple a kiss. “Mm?” Paw said, turning to face Mik. “Those reporters…”Paw shrugged, “people will be people. Paw cannot expect to change the people after one minute of together stuff when people have been people since people were made. Journalists are just. Part of that group. They not understand the bad stuff.”“That doesn’t give them permission to completely dismiss you. You’re smarter than they are, you’re smarter than I am and you deserve to be treated with respect, like a people of your rank. Although we haven’t had a Whisper in several hundred years so I’m not certain exactly what kind of respect that is…”Something that might have been a smile crept into Paw’s face, the Sidhe shifted his body closer to Mik’s, so that their hips were touching. Mik’s arm draped over the back of the couch instead. He watched Paw as the Sidhe looked down at his own hands. The smile grew just a bit as Paw looked up. “Paw does not want respect Whisper is shown. Paw wants respect Paw earns.”“So kill some shit out of the journalists,” Mik responded, smiling and almost laughing at the idea of Paw going crazy. Paw laughed and looked back down at his hands, “but then Mik would have mess to clean up.”“I can hire a crew or delegate. I think that’s what it’s called. Delegate out the task to someone else.”“Heh. Maybe I don’t want to go crazy on some journalists. Maybe. Paw just wants to go crazy on Mik.” Paw gave Mik a sly look out the corner of his eye. Mik leaned over and gave Paw’s cheek a kiss, “Maybe… Bathroom’s not exactly private. But a bath would do is both a load of good.”“Would,” Paw murmured back, reaching out with one long finger gently as he poked Mik’s nose, “Perhaps Lillow and Taln will be kind enough to stop taking pictures and let Mik and Paw have quiet bath?”Mik looked across the living room, startled. Lillow had a deer in the headlights look as she tossed the camera at Taln and then jabbed a finger at the young man as if it had all been his doing. Taln barely caught the camera, bouncing it from hand to hand several times before finally getting a good grip on the thing. The young man swallowed once and tried not to look frightened as he smiled. “Ah. I was just showing her how to focus on a face. Is… all. I’m goanna go. Show Essuan how to use the camera now.”“Yes! Great idea!” Lillow said, nodding several times, “Essuan would love camera thing and whaternots. Though Essuan has mesas and Souse said no pictures of mesas.”“Ooooh, true,” Taln said as he walked towards the door, “but Hohi is with her, she could get pictures of him!”Lillow followed Taln out the door, carrying on the conversation as she went. Mik frowned and looked at Paw. The Sidhe shrugged. “Sounded like they were up to something. What could they be up to with something as innocent as a camera?” Mik muttered.Paw shrugged again, “Paw not care, Paw just want bath with Mik.”.
