Daichi  looked out the window to see Nori  getting out of the car and then hold out a hand to Saiai ,who hesitated before he took it and got out too . He frowned as they walked  in together  . He waited for them to come in  and come up the stairs  . He  noticed that they seemed ...happy . Really happy.

“So , what happened “?

Both looked at Daichi and as if some spell was broken, Saiai moved away from Nori , his smile disappearing .

“It looks like we have some good news  . Saiai is an omega “!

Daichi smiled in confusion  .

“Uh   that's great ! I'm glad “?

Nori glanced at Saiai   . “Please tell him “.

Saiai chewed on his thumb nail before he spoke .

“I'm,  I'm pregnant . I'm having a baby “.

Daichi  felt his eyes go wide before he smiled . “Are ,are you serious? That's,  that's great  ! “

“The doctor confirmed  it , we're  gonna have a baby “!

“That's  great ! I ,I don't know what to say .Just ...congratulations ! I'm happy,  it's very  good news indeed “.

Nori bent down and hugged Daichi as Saiai looked on a smile on his face ,seeing  them overjoyed with the news and it was infectious .It was almost a shame to have to leave , he had nothing here holding him . As he moved to go to his room ,Daichi  looked and held out his arms .

“Can I have a hug please “?

Saiai looked thoughtful for a moment before he bent down and hugged Daichi  .

“Thank you , thank you so much “.

Saiai pulled away with a frown .“For what “?

“For the miracle inside you , for giving us a family . You're going to stay, aren't you “? Saiai felt bad for Daichi assuming that he would stay,  but he had to tell him that he wasn't  .

“Um, Daichi,  I, I'm leaving . Today . I'm sorry , but I can't stay . It doesn't mean that you won't  be able to see the baby “.

Nori felt his heart freeze  at hearing Saiai say that  . He knew he couldn't  let Saiai leave ,not after finding out that he was going to be a father . He would whatever he had to convince him to stay .

“Saiai please don't leave  . You ,you -don't go".

“”I have nothing here . It's better if I go ,Daichi  , and like I told you  , you can see the baby -"

“Give me a chance . I'll do what I have to ,just give he a chance “.

Saiai turned to look at Nori  ,his face a mask of confusion  . He wasn't expecting this and he didn't know what to make of it  .

“I ,I don't think that's a good idea . My father just died ,and I,  I just  need time to grieve .Me having a baby ,well it caught me by surprise .I can't think of staying right now . Especially after all that's happened  “.

“What's there to think about? You  belong here . Grieve all you need to here , you'll have all the time you want . As for what happened between us , let me show you I'm sorry “.

Saiai was confused , he didn't know  if he should stay , Nori  had hurt him , but now he seemed to want to make amends . His brow knitted in confusion as he internally debated on what he should do .

“I can make it worth your time. . I promise .Just give me a chance to prove it “.

“Okay ,but only because  of the baby . I'll stay “.

Nori walked up to Saiai and grabbed him and twirled him around  . Caught up in the moment , Saiai laughed as he held on to Nori  .

“What's going on “?

Everyone turned to see Aki standing by the stairs with a curious  smile on his face .

“Aki , you're back “!

“I just got back a few minutes ago . So what's all the excitement about “?

“We gave some great news . I'm going to be a father  ! Saiai is pregnant “!

A look of disbelief crossed Aki’s face before he smiled .

“This is great news indeed ! Congratulations nephew ! We should celebrate “.

Aki gave Nori a hug as he clapped him on the shoulder  .”I'm proud of you, Nori  , and I know your  father would be too “.

“Thank you , Aki , I'm sure he would be too “.

“We should have a dinner ! A party better yet “ !

Nori chuckled at Daichi’s enthusiasm .”Whatever  you want little brother  . Whatever you want  . Let's just make it an intimate get together “.

Daichi planned a small dinner party just inviting those close to the family ,he planned everything  around Saiai’s favorite  foods and other things . He was so excited  ,that Saiai didn't have the heart to tell him no on certain things  . A few days later was the day of the party and everyone was getting ready . Saiai couldn't  help  but get caught up in the excitement  , he found himself looking forward to the party  , a chance to distract himself from thinking about his father . He rubbed his stomach absently his thoughts on what might be . Just then Nori  came in and saw Saiai with a faraway look on his face  . He stood and watched  for a moment  .

“‘Hey , are you feeling okay “?

Saiai looked up at Nori and nodded  . “Yes . Just wondering about things “.

“Oh ? What about “?

“Just things . My father , the baby , and ,uh  well this “. Saiai gestured to the both of them . “What are we “?

Nori was caught off guard by the question  . He thought about it and he didn't know himself  . Officially  they were married , but what were they really if they didn't have that relationship that came with being married ? He tried to answer as honestly as he  could .

“Saiai ,I'm gonna be honest  , I really don't know  , but I would like for us to try and see if we can make this work . Maybe we can even have another one after this one “? Saiai  flushed at the suggestive tone Nori used . He coughed to cover up his smile  .

“I'm not sure about  that . I don't know you at all  ,and well ,you know “.

Confusion  etched his face before Nori realized what Saiai  ment . He sighed and  sat down on the floor next to the couch  .

“I'm not excusing what I did , I was , I am trying to find out what really happened  when me and my siblings were kidnapped  . I admit I didn't go about it the right way and I'm sorry . I just want to know who was responsible for what happened to us “.

Saiai understood what Nori was saying , he just didn't agree with what he did  to him  it was wrong .

“You , you hurt me . I can't forget that Nori “.

“And I don't expect you to . I want us to work ,if not for us, then for our baby you have  . Do you want give it a try “?

Saiai frowned as he thought about that . Should he trust Nori and give him a chance and see were their strange relationship went ? He seemed to want to make amends for hurting him  .

“Let's see what happens  “.

Nori  glanced at Saiai and then let his gaze travel to his stomach and smiled  .

“I still can't believe it . Can I,  can I…”

Saiai took Nori’s hand and placed it on his stomach  .

“A little piece of me it's in there . Wow “.

Nori stared in awe at the flat stomach . At moment something changed I Saiai and he wanted him and Nori to have a good relationship  .

“We have a party to go . Daichi is waiting “.

The party was a success and everyone was in a great mood ,but Saiai felt tired so he went to his room after he helped the servants clean up . Nori walked him to his room .

They sat on the couch as Saiai drank some cranberry juice .  

“I'm glad Daichi threw the party , I had a good time , and everyone was nice “.

“As they should be , you're in a enviable position, you know”.

“How so “?

“Not to brag , but everyone wanted the Kitamura name . Now you have it ,not only that  ,but you're carrying my ,I mean our baby “.

Saiai nodded thoughtfully  .

“I guess you're  right, but the baby is also a Yonamine . I want it raised to know both sides of its parents families “.

“As it should be . I want that too “.

Pleased that Nori agreed with his thoughts  , Saiai gave him a grateful smile , he leaned against the couch and patted his stomach  .

“I can't wait to hold it “.

Nori smiled and placed his hand over Saiai’s .

“Me neither  . We should think of a name , I kind of feel bad calling the baby ‘it’".

Saiai  hummed in approval . He was thinking now that he could be happy and not be sad after his father's death . After all Takeo wouldn't want him to grieve for him .

As he turned to look at Nori  , he turned too . They looked at each other then Nori leaned in and kissed Saiai  . It was a touch of the lips at first , then Nori  put more pressure  . Saiai sat still surprised at first and just as he was about to respond , Nori backed away .

“I'm sorry , I didn't mean to do that “.

“Uh , it's,  it's okay . You can kiss me if you want “.

Nori looked at Saiai then leaned in and kissed him again , this time,,he trailed his hand along the others arm causing goosebumps to appear . Nori sucked on a lush bottom lip as he moved closer to Saiai . These last months were wonderful  and true to his word  , Nori  was making an effort to be a good husband . He had been busy lately chasing leads  to the one or ones responsible for him and his siblings kidnapping  , but he was no closer and it was frustrating him to no end  . Saiai wanted to be supportive  , but he didn't know how with Nori still thinking his father was responsible  . In his heart  , Saiai knew it wasn't his father,  but Nori was convinced it was him . He didn't know what to do .

It was the last straw for Saiai  . He had tried over and over to stop this obsessive  need to find any information about  his father and honestly it was putting a strain on them  . He  was walking toward the stairs when he heard Nori  call out for him  he ignored  the calls to his name  .

“Saiai why can't  you understand my motives”?!

“I understand you  wanting justice  ,but don't you think it's time you put this to rest “?

“You don't have brothers or sisters , so of course you wouldn't understand  “!

“I'm tired if telling you it wasn't my father ! If you believe  that , then we have nothing to discuss anymore  !

Saiai turned to take a step and Nori reached out to grabbed his hand , Saiai yanked his hand away,  but as Nori reached out again Saiai pushed himself away and too late realized how close to the stairs he was . He slipped  and fell down landing hard on his side and hitting his head . The last thing  he saw before  fainting was Nori’s horrified  expression.

Nori knelt close to Daichi as he felt his brother hug him , he was hoping the doctor was wrong  , but doctor Lee assured him of the news . While Saiai was fine and merely got a nasty bump to the head , the baby had  died .
