Short contemplaton of suicide
ANS: Another one
Kyle was walking home when he got scared. Kyle had already warned him about his upcoming punishment. He had punishment coming from the bathroom incident in the morning, the fact that he vomited, and for not reinserting the vibrator after the threesome with Aaron. He was not sure if he was going to survive it this time. It was for that reason; he took a turn that would not lead home. He wasn’t going there, at least not for that night.
Kyle found himself in a secluded park. He sat down. He did not know where to go. He was way too afraid to go home. After being punished, he was scared of going to sleep and never waking up. And then again, that could be the way to end it all. He would never have to feel pain again, or have to suffer through humiliation and sex he did not want.
He stood up with sudden determination. He ran and ran until he came to a pier that was a good 20 minutes from his house. It was a very old pier and had been built three decades ago. It overlooked the ocean, and one could see that the ocean was choppy from the slight wind. He hoisted himself up so he sat on the railing. He closed his eyes as he felt the wind on his face and sighed deeply. It would be so easy to end it right there. Kyle knew he was not the best swimmer. If he would jump into the raging waves, he would drown very easily.
Then his thoughts turned to Jonathan, Suzie, and his mother. He knew they would be upset, but they would get over it. Kyle was mad at them too. They were so into their own lives that they did not realize that they were slowly losing him. They did not even notice anything out of the ordinary about the twins’ relationship. All of them seemed to be in their own little world. He understood that his mom had to support all of them. Their father had abandoned them after Cindy’s birth, not being able to handle another child. He disappeared off the face of the earth so he would not have to pay child support. Cindy was young so she was naturally selfish and too involved with herself. Jonathan had a great life. He was newly engaged to a terrific girl. In some ways, Jonathan seemed to be more of a kid then Kyle because Jonathan seemed so naïve about the real world. Kyle, on the other hand, knew what pain felt like. He knew his “friends” would probably feel said for awhile, but they would get over it relatively quickly. He then thought about Alex. They have known each other for a very short time, but Kyle already felt an extremely strong connection with him. Kyle knew that Alex hated him though. Kyle had played right into Darren’s hands and it worked. In his heart, he knew he did not have the guts to commit suicide, not if he was thinking about it. It would have to be in a moment of passion, when there were no coherent thoughts running through his head. He stayed like that for a few minutes.
Kyle swung his legs around until he was on solid ground again. He stood up with a heavy heart, knowing he had to go home. He did not have anywhere else to go. As he was walking with slow strides, he came across a Sonic Drive-thru, and decided to get dinner. It was almost 8:00. He knew that when he finally got home, Eric would not allow him to eat. There was a new reason for him to be punished, for missing curfew He was already really late. A few more minutes wouldn’t make too much of a difference.
Kyle went to the overhead where the tables were and saw none other than Alex and Darren. They were the couple of people he really did not want to see. He thought maybe he could sneak away from the fast food place without being seen, but of course, luck was not on his side.
“Kyle,” It was Darren.
Kyle stood stock still, not wanting to get near them.
Alex looked at him in confusion. “What are doing here? I thought you were
walking home. Aren’t you already late?”
Kyle looked down at the floor. “I kind of do not want to go home. I’m stalling. I am already late. I can’t get into much more trouble.”
Darren had reached Kyle’s side. “Is it about Eric?”
Kyle took a sharp intake of breath, and whispered back, “What do you know?”
“A lot more then you realize.”
Out loud, so Alex could hear, “Can I have a word with you in private?”
“Sure.”
Kyle pulled Darren to an empty table and forced him to sit down. “Now …
talk. What do you know?”
