Bad things happen part2

Sorry for the delay, I was overseas... again!

Running his fingers nervously through soaked hair, Mathew squirmed under the gaze of the tall man in front of him. The man was tall, with green intense (and he could admit it: a-trifle-scary) eyes. Not that he was scared or anything. His black hair was in an out-of-bed style and he only had a blue pyjama pant on. His torso was muscular and he had the tattoo of a paw seemingly coming from his back on his left shoulder. He also was the most beautiful being young Mat had ever seen.

“Can I help you?” came the deep low voice from the man’s mouth.

“Uhhh… I’m looking for J…Jack. I’m … uh… his student. But I think I had the wrong address. I’m sorry to…” He was cut mid-sentence by the apparition of his teacher.

“Oh! It’s you. I knew I had recognised your voice. Come in, don't stay in that rain! You’re soaked! Let get you a towel.”

The unknown man looked at him suspiciously before moving from the door to let him come in. Now the fun would begin. Mathew put on his mask and mentally prepared his story. He had been destabilised by the tall man but he had come here on a mission and he was going to complete it. He wasn’t fooled by the kind attitude of the teacher and he would show his class how much teachers could be hypocrites.

He was lead to a little room with an L-shaped sofa were he was motioned to sit. To give them some privacy, the man asked him if he wanted to drink something and set off to fetch it. That’s when Mat saw it; the huge tattoo on the man’s back. It was black and red, a sort of weir d animal that seemed quite ferocious and looked like he was climbing the muscular back. He gasped and his eyes opened wide. What the hell? Who was that man anyway?! Some kind of bad boy? Why was he in the same house as his timid and kind teacher?

“Ahem… Mathew? What can I do to help you?”

“Uhh…”

“Don’t be afraid of David, he isn’t as mean as he looks. Is everything alright?”

Still stunned by the man’s tattoo, Mat couldn’t help but ask:
“Who is he?”

“My lover and best friend. He is a lawyer.”

Not saying anything more, the teacher was watching him with apprehensive eyes. Was he afraid of his reaction or the goal of his unexpected visit?

“Is everything alright?”

Oh, so it was the motive of his visit. Jack was quite an actor, he seemed genuinely afraid that something was really wrong. Hypocrite.

“I… I’m sorry to come here like this without notice… but I… I don’t want to go back home…” Ha! What are you gonna do, eh? He was almost sorry for the teacher. That kind of situation must be difficult. If he asked what the problem was, he would be meddling with things that he wasn’t qualified enough to handle but if he asked for help from the school psy or his parents it would be betraying Mat.

“Oh, it’s okay, we have a spare bed if you want to stay, and you don’t have to talk about it if you don’t want. I can land you some things; I think we have the same size. You can use the phone to tell your parents, or if you prefer I can also call them for you.”

Mat could only stare in shock at his new teacher. Was he serious?! Schooling his features, he tried to calm down and think. Why would Jack take a total stranger in his house as a welcomed guest? And he was gay! No. Concentrate. Why? Maybe he liked young boys! Yes, that must be it. Well, he could accept and then call the police when Jack tried something and he would be rid of the teacher! He truly was a genius.

“Is this some kind of bad joke?”

“No, I’m serious. My only condition is that you warn your parents so that they don’t freak out.”
“O… Okay then, I… thank you.”

Tansa woke up with a start. Something was wrong.

The house was silent. Everything was still, like it should be at three in the morning. He was sure his dream had been peaceful. It always was when he was in Alavas’ arms. Looking up at the sleeping face of his lover he wondered just what could have woken him up. He put his head back on the elf’s chest letting his breathing and the beat of his heart lull him back to sleep.

He was drenched but he just couldn’t sleep. He felt like he was missing something, like he needed to do something. He just didn’t know what.

Giving up on his hopes of sleep, he got up slowly and decided that a glass of milk could help. He silently got out of bed careful not to wake Alavas. Putting on a shirt on his naked torso, he made his way to the kitchen in his boxers and shirt. And stopped dead in his tracks.

Seleno was seeing red. Still as a statue, he was standing in the hall in front of the room in which The Elf Council was meeting, glaring so intently at the door that it was a wonder it hadn’t burst into flames already. He couldn’t stand the waiting. His lover was in danger for Atna’s sake! Why were they so long in reaching a decision? It should be as clear as crystal! He should already be on his way to save him!

Instead of that he was standing in front of this damned door and getting himself sick with worry. He had known the risks; he had known something like that could happen, but that didn’t make it easier and not being allowed to do anything was killing him. He had already lost Alavas, even if he was still alive he knew they would never see each other again, and he wouldn’t stand loosing his lover, his life partner.

Just thinking of it made him want to tear something, he closed his eyes than opened them again. If that door didn’t open in less than five seconds he was going to crush it. Luckily, he only had to wait two seconds before a messenger got out and carefully closed the door behind him. Verdict please…
