Hey! How can you get Blues if they are extinct?
After all the hubbub about the big “REJECTION” and my little history of “Claudius” I looked back at the reviews and realized I missed a question. Eeks and Egads….sorry k.
Q: “What happens if a blue, like the brothers, turns a human into a vampire? Will the fledging become a blue or can only humans, that are hidden blues become blue vampires and what would have Claudius become, if a blue instead of Katrina had turned him? He is a blue-gene-carrier but that doesn't necessarily mean the gene grows active, when bitten from a blue.”
Another interesting dilemma. I thought I had it all planned out but there is one big huge honking monkey wrench named Xavier that just blew all my damn plotting to hell. Actually those few scattered Blues were a problem too. How the hell did they come into being if the Blues were extinct?
SPOILER ALERT (CAKE SECRETS)
Blue Blood Vampires (Blue Houses)
You can only get a Blue Flame Vampire from the Ruling Houses which are now almost extinct due to the Blue Cull which came to a head in 1607 with the murder/assassination of the Last Lord Emperor Sigmund.
There were only about 21 Blues who had survived/birthed until the modern era and they were in hiding. During “Cake”, Armanita systematically killed off all the female Blues so she could mate with her grandson and start the Royal Lineage of Von Drachenfeld up again. That leaves the new Blue gene pool at 13 males not counting X.
Those 13 can mate with Reds, but the resulting baby fangs would be blue gene carriers. It would be the second generation that would start to see “Natural” Blue flames born when they mated with another carrier. Only two Blues or blue gene carriers (bgc) can mate and have little pilot lights. It was only by chance that two bgc hooked up -- a Red Vampire and a human -- and turned into a rare Blue. It seems the High Council knew of Sigmund/Liam’s plan but neglected to tell the rest of the Vampire Nation, or in the resulting chaos of taking over the reins of power, the records tracking those bgc were lost. Leaving it up to random luck to find those ‘lost ones’
In that same vein (haha), if a Blue had birthed Claudius, he would have turned Blue as well since he already at the Blue gene dormant inside him There would have been a reaction. However if a Blue turned a regular human, that human would be a Red Flame, but it would be in the lower end of the crimson spectrum – such as Marcus/Armor.
So, through 400 years of random biting, somehow bgc managed to find each other 21 times. Who knows how many bgc are peppered throughout the Nation?
Now, we get to our beloved “X”.
He was bitten by a Red. So why did he turn Blue? (rashafrackinmickinratz)
Okay, this just unfolded in my noggin as I was typing this. You can tell me if this makes sense or is believable.
1. Sigmund (blue) and Armanita (red) had a baby girl Lenore (red/royal blue gene carrier)
2. Lenore marries a human has many many daughters all human but are royal blue gene carriers(rbgc). Each generation is human but remains a rbgc. Eventually one family branch turns into Hunters.
3. X is born as a rbgc. First male in Sigmund’s line in 400 years. (Yes, in Cake I have it at 160, I will have to revise – Liam would have hopped into the first male to come along to get to his Honeybee.) Claudius a first generation bgc makes is own little fledging Marcus/Armor (red/bgc-not a complete sequence) When M/A bites X, there is enough of the blue gene to partially activate the Royal Blue Gene resulting in a Blue Flame.
4. Pure adrenalin from Armanita’s attack in the Manor with the spike fully activated the Royal characteristics of Wings; Hand of Light and Healing Light. So basically X’s own rbgc turns himself into the Royal House.
5. Since Claudia is Claudius child, she is a bgc. Therefore, it is a given that all the little winglets are going to be Blue and since X’s sperm is alive and kicking again. They are definitely going to be of the Royal Blue Gene.
Whoops, there it is. You can tell me if this believable or not.
