She shrugged. "The kind you get when you hit old age I guess by human standards. You become weak even though a wolfs body wont show it they do. Vampires can smell a sickness any sickness

on another. The one I smelled upon him was one of death. Its killing him slowly so he may have not noticed it yet or else he would most likely be stepping down soon and let everybody know who his predessor was. ‎"....with his power, i would need to wait till he was almost dead before i could manage to take him down, but i'll try....at least i have that to my advantage." He started thinking, already gone to a stratigic mode.

 Lana laid there wide eyed. She thought about what he said until she felt sleep take her over.

Lana just set there stuff down before turning to walk out. Now that she had gotten used to being around other wolves she wasnt so scared of the rest. She obviously got some glares but she shrugged them off. She was caught off guard when another wolf ran up to her excited.

 

Auric groaned, leaving the tent just in time to see Nolan run up to lana, his mate trailing behind. Nolan smiled happily. 'hey lana.' he sniffed the air, and she finally recognized him. Who knows wolves and vamps may be able to breed after all.' Auric had just got their to catch what Nolan asked lana.

 

Lana looked at him questioningly until what he asked hit her. She turned slowly to look at Auric and gave him a look that would even make death run and hide. `Why didnt you say anything?` She asked in a dangerously calm voice.

 

‎'Your father told me not to.' he said it very simple and plain, as if That's all that was needed to say.

‎"Izulo....you should know that i wouldn't have been hit. and i take disciplinary measures in private." He walked over to Lana. "Now love, calm down.... we can talk about this...."

 

Lana glared at him. "I do not want to talk about it." She said before fighting harder to get away. Izulo held on tighter. "Auric since you cant seem to keep her in check I will teach her to respect her mate and alpha." He said daring Auric to challenge him.

 

‎"I can take care of it." He stepped forward, obviously not wanting her to experiance his 'teaching of respect' and grabbed her by a wrist, pulling her to his tent, whispering quietly, almost silently, 'Be. Have."

 

 Lana pulled against him to only knock herself onto her butt. "Auric. Let her go now. I refuse to stand by and watch her act the way she is now." Izulo said firmly. Lana could feel Auric's uneasiness as he relinquished Lana's arm to his alpha. Lana looked at him as he stared down at her with a stone straight face.

 

Auric felt the direct command of his alpha and couldn't move as the man walked away with his mate, bringing her back to tie her with a leash to a post, and put a deep slash down her back, just far enough from her spine that her mobility wouldn't be hurt.
