Dealing With the Pain
Okay, I have decided that this collection will not be complete without both of my triplet poems. These poems were the first I had ever written however, I was around 15 when these were first written, and over the last 5 years, I entered the following one in a contest, and it got to the semi-finals before being beaten by another.
Dealing with the Pain
All you do is hurt me,
You don’t care when I cry,
This time though you went too far,
And made me want to die.
I admit I am not strong,
Not when what is hurting me is you,
Because I thought that you were good,
And that your heart was true.
But all it caused was pain,
There are wounds upon my arm,
In a way they still were caused by you,
Although I got them through self harm.
This is my way of dealing,
Of coping with my pain,
Since my trust in you was shattered,
I may never fully trust again.
I’m crying as I write this,
Tears burning in my eyes,
All this because I trusted you,
When all your words were lies.
