When there is one moment you start seeing him differently
This time you can slap me because I said I would post on Monday or Thuesday and it`s already Thursday. I did have good intentions but when I reread the chapter I wanted to change a few things here and there but after all I really like this chapter! I would have been ready to post it yesterday but since I'm attending Otakuthon 2009 in Montreal I needed to finish my cosplay. I sent myself the chapter at my grandmother's house to finnish it but curse! Her computer couldn't read the format. I'm really sorry about that but here it is!
On to the reviews!
Anatais- I'm glad you thought this chapter was one of the best because I didn't feel it. I didn't hate it but I felt like it missed something so I was afraid you guys wouldn't like it. But I did enjoy going a little more into Yuuri, I could write on ends about him and I also can't wait to write about him back in Japan! And thank you for the encouragement, I hope you like this chapter as well.
Lisa- *grin* See, I was right, I could totally see you getting angry at Yuuri! And yes, he's got to fight with absolutely everyone. If only he could grab a hold of that fire temper of his, *smacks Yuuri* And about Kishimoto being the 'sexy bastard' the main reason for Yuuri calling him like that is would be because Kishimoto is always so nice and charming to everyone, he sees him as a complete oposite. But even though they fight they have a very manly relationship where they figth to solve conflic but they're chumly again the next day. Kishimoto is the closest thing Yuuri's got as a best friend so I'm not ruling out the posibility of there being sexual tension between the two, they have a nice bestfreind/rival relationship. As for Kuro, he's trying to repress any attraction, what so ever, toward the redhead, nicknaming him as a 'sexy beast' would mean he's losing control.
And yes, you didn't read wrong Yuuri did apoogize, my little boy is truly growing up! As for you spelling his name wrong, don't worry to much. Yuuri will try to hunt your ass to hell. However he's got a weakness. *Sneaks up behing him and hugs him, Yuuri blushes, than growl in attempt to keep up his usual attitude but he soon realises it a lost cause, he'd rather be hold by Kuro than seek revange* And thus the beast was tamed. If Kuro isn't around though you could always try shoving chocolate cake in Yuuri's face. He might become more angry at you but by the time you recover you'll be far, far away! -Thanks for the review!
kylee- You worry about how much trouble Yuuri can get in? He could get in way much more trouble than you an imagine even when he's not hungry! That brat is just as unprevisible as a mad bull! I find it very funny that you REALLY don't like Chantal being in the way, I really see you and Kuro trying to fix boogy trap in order to get rid of the evil Chantal. Kuro can very mischevious if he puts his heart to it so you've got yourself a really good partner for this!
Furthermore, I'm glad you saw the scene where Yuuri confesses his problems like you did because I really wanted tp show that even though Yuuri acts all loud and independent he's still just a boy and sometimes he does miss a parent figure. You'll probably like this chapter and the next even more! Thank you very much!
BRM- Yuuri as a wild stalion? Very nice comparasion! I guess that's a little how he is since he's really wild and untrusting but he is slowly comming around. Kuro's doing a good job domesticating him! Yuuri would probably kill me for that last comment! I'm also glad you like my answers, I really enjoy your reviews so I'm always trying to entertain you a little back. It doesn't help that you always send me short but absolutly adorable reviews. And kitty lick? Can it get cuter than that! You're a really good candidate at being my stylish pet once I become a evil overlord!
Now, the show must go on! Enjoy chapter 12-
I stare at my cell phone thinking this is the most stupid idea I`ve ever came up with but it’s three and a half in the morning and I can’t sleep a wink. It’s a good thing my next door neighbour is an old lady and she’s half deaf because she would probably be complaining with me playing the guitar at this time of the night.
I can’t help it, I’ve been hyper ever since I came back from work. I was off at one but I’ve had this song stuck in my head since I heard it at the restaurant around midnight. It was a French song so I didn’t know the name or the lyrics of this song so it’s been annoying. However, I felt like I’ve heard it before so I went through all the Cds Santa lent my in order to find it. Although I couldn’t find the exact same version the one I found was acoustic and better for me in my case. Ever since than I’ve been trying to get the lyrics right and playing it on my guitar.
I feel oddly proud at understanding almost all the lyrics and learning it in such a short time but I can’t go to sleep now, I feel like I got to share this with someone. The first thing I thought of doing was to call Kuro. That was a stupid thought since it’s a love song. I should be calling Chantal and sing that to her but I don’t want to wake her up just for that and I don’t have the desire to share this with her. After all, she’s nothing more than a bed partner. I’ve never liked singing love song because I’ve never managed to make them sound truthful enough. So why are my fingers going over Kuro’s number. Looking at my phone in a detached manner, my finger finally pressed the last number.
“Shit!” I exclaimed dropping my phone. I didn’t really intend to call him but by the time I pick it up I can already here the distinct ‘click’ of him picking up the phone.
“Yuuri?” He asked. Damn it, I can’t even deny it since when I call on his cell phone he can see my number on his phone!
“Were you sleeping?” I asked when I found my voice. This is embarrassing, guys should not be calling other guys in the middle of the night.
“No, I wasn’t, is there something wrong?” He asked. I can believe that he hasn’t just waken up since he doesn’t sound groggy one bit but now he must think something is really wrong for calling at this time. I wonder myself how come he’s still awake.
“Nothing’s wrong really, I couldn’t really sleep and I had a feeling you weren’t sleeping either.” I said scratching the back of my head. Now I’m just sounding really awkward.
“Are you restless? Is there something bothering you?” He asked. Restless, I’ve been like that all night!
“Yeah well, I heard this song and I really wanted to share it with someone. You’re the only one I know who’s up at this time.” I said with a blush, I was thankful he couldn’t see me. He took a long pause before answering.
“Sure let me hear it, it might help me sleep.” He his voice sounded a little more gentle than usual, I bet he must be cocking his head to the side at this. When did come to the point where I can just see him do that.
“Alright!” I said almost too cheerfully. “I mean, if it doesn’t bother you. I’ll just put the phone to play, so don’t hang up.” I said.
“Of course I won’t.” He said, I blushed at that too. Nothing less than a kind reply from him. I set the phone on the bed beside me and place my hand on the right cords. I don’t know all the lyrics yet so I play the melody until I got to the part I could remember.
‘Pour the plaire
J’aurais pu soulever la terre
J’aurais mis feu à l’enfer
Pour toi j’aurais pu faire
N’importe quoi
Je t’appelais dans la nuit pour te dire
N’importe quoi
J’avais si peur que tu m’oublie
Et de n’être plus rien pour toi
Comme si j’étais n’importe qui
N’importe quoi’
(To make you happy
I would lift up the earth
I would set fire to hell
For you I could do
Anything
I would call you in the middle of the night
Just to tell you anything
I’m would be too scared that you’d forget about me
And become nothing for you
As if I’d be just anybody else
Anything)
For a long moment after I finished my song I remained silent. I never happened to me before but my fingers were shaking on the cords from the emotion I managed to put in the song. I picked up the phone almost carefully and press it against my ear. He doesn’t say anything but I know he hasn’t hung up since I can hear his breathing on the other end, it seems to be as shaky as mine. It might have been a mistake to call him but it was stronger than me. I hear him gulp on the other side of the line.
“That was a nice interpretation. I could barely hear your accent anymore.” He said, he almost sounded as if he were searching for his words, that’s an unlikely response from him. “Shouldn’t this be something you should sing to your girlfriend?” He asked. It was my turn to gulp now. It’s true, that’s not the kind of song you sing to your best friend.
“You’re the only one that always up to hear what I have to say.” I said. However, I panicked when I realised how uncharacteristically soft my tone was. “Yeah, see you in class!” I hurriedly said pressing the ‘end’ button. I clench my pounding heart for a moment until my breathing calms down.
“What the hell was that mood all about?” I asked myself lying back on my chest with my guitar on my chest. I shouldn’t be calling him in the middle of the night because I’m restless and I need to sing love songs! For God’s sake where was my head? I always seem to do strange things when I think about that redhead.
Although I was more than confused about the conversation we just had I finally had this stupid song off my chest and I felt like I could sleep. I feel asleep in that position with my guitar on top of me as I couldn’t stop hearing his shaky tone ringing in my ears. However, instead of stressing me it only helped me sleep.
Ever since I ate at the music teacher’s house he’s a little more tolerant toward me. After constantly coming to the classroom’s window to annoy him or Kuro he finally decided to let me actually attend the class. On the last Monday of November I came a little early to class. I wasn’t surprised to find the redhead already tuning his violin in the class. That cocky bastard Kishimoto drives him to school most of the time.
I stand in the doorway and watch him work on the instrument. I’m surprised he hasn’t noticed me yet, he’s usually so aware of his surroundings. He might not look like it but this boy is always observing whatever’s going on around him. I realised over the time that we spend together that his ability to read other people’s emotions is simply amazing. With a single glance he can always tell what I’m thinking, it’s almost as if he were reading my mind.
That’s probably the reason why I’ve grown so attached to the boy. We spend so much time together recently, we’ve become the best of friends. From the outside I haven’t soften that much to him. I still get angry at him and I yell at him three quarters of the time. However, I honestly enjoy spending time with him and even though I may try to deny it, it can’t fool him. He can read right through me. Even if I know that, my pride can’t let me express those feelings verbally.
I grab my guitar case, swing it across my shoulder, and walk toward him. He still doesn’t show any sign of having noticed me. I smirked to myself. I think he truly hasn’t got a clue he’s not alone. For once I’ll be the one to surprise him.
“Morning.” I finally said. He slowly turned around to look up at me.
“Don’t startle me like that. I thought I would have a heart attack.” He said slowly and very monotonously. I glare at him.
“Can you try to make me believe something a little more credible?” I asked twitching in anger. He’s face didn’t change and he certainly didn’t jump in the slightest.
“Honestly.” He said nodding.
“Can you get any weirder than that Kowai Kao Kuro?” I shouted as I typically ruffled his hair with my both hands.
“I honestly didn’t notice you come in.” He said. I stopped torturing the red mass of head.
“That’s not like you.” I said glaring down at him.
“I guessed I kind of spaced out there.” He said running a hand thought his hair to settled the strands that were now standing all over the place. He rubbed his eyes with his palms before he picked up his violin again. He seems especially tiered today. I assume he mustn’t have gotten as lucky as I was. I wonder if he slept after I called him, it doesn’t seem like it. Did it bother him what I did last night? He must have been confused, it’s not like I really meant for that to happened anyways.
“Tiered?” I inquired.
“It’s not that bad, I’m used to it.” He said. I look at him for a moment but that’s doesn’t seem to help me find any kind of answer. “I’m insomniac.” He added. He’s always so detached and emotionless it’s hard to tell whether he’s honest or not. Even if something bothered him I doubt he’d tell me about it. He says he trusts me but I don’t think he’s self conscious enough to ’bother’ someone with his own problems. I just wish he would open up to me. “You brought your guitar today.” He pointed out to change the subject.
“Oh yeah.” I said awkwardly moving from one foot to the other.
“Would you play that song again?” He asked.
“N’importe quoi?” I asked, quite the stupid question because what other song would make us fidget like that. He nodded gripping the hem of his shirt and looking away. “I guess I’ve got time to play before class starts.” I said opening my guitar. He’s as blank as usual but it makes me more uneasy than it should by now. I took my old instrument and sat on top of desk. He sits down to listen and he looks at me somewhat intensely as I began to strum my guitar. The clear acoustic sound rang through the empty classroom.
Even early in the morning my voice is loud and melodic. This time I manage to remember all of the lyrics. I thought I’d be too nervous to do so with his mismatched eyes on me but the words just flow out of me. I allow myself to close my eyes until the part I sang yesterday, than I look straight back at him. Somehow I manage to drag more emotions out of the song, more than I should perhaps but I don’t seem to be thinking clearly when I look into those eyes. These words don’t leave a bitter taste in my mouth.
About half way to the song I almost fell off the desk as I see his lips curled up in a small smile. It’s barely a smile at all but it’s more than anything he’s ever shown me before. I’m so shocked the words get stuck in my mouth and my fingers forget their cords. Kuro can’t be smiling, he doesn’t have the ability to smile, he’s always as blank as a sheet.
“So this is how you looked as you sang this song.” He said, his tone is a little shaky. My heart rate picks up at the remark. How I looked while I was singing this to him. Am I really acting that strangely. However, that wasn’t the first thing on my mind, there it was, still on his lips. I’m not just imagining it!
“You’re smiling.” I pointed out in disbelief. His smile was somewhat melancholic and heavy. This slightest show of emotion was completely breaking his emotionless and controlled façade and I noticed this heavy air of melancholy and even sorrow that hung around him. I had never realised it before but these emotions have always seemed to stick to him. Nonetheless, this was the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. Just as quickly as it came his smile faded back into nothingness.
“You’re truly beautiful when you sing love songs.” He simply said before tuning his head away. He stood up and headed toward the door.
“Where are you going all of a sudden?” I asked. He didn’t turn to face me.
“I have to go to the bathroom.” He said.
“Wait! I’m not done with you Kowai Kao Kuro! Don’t call me beautiful it’s disturbing.” I attempt to shout but I was still to disturbed by his reaction. He left without another word. Never before in my life did I want to reach out to grab something more than I wanted to grab his arm at that moment. I managed to resist that urge but as I’m left alone in the empty class room I think that maybe I shouldn’t have stopped myself. Something seems awfully off about him today. I still can’t erase the image of his smile in my head. This was by far the most rewarding smile I ever received in my life but at the same time my heart clenched painfully when his feelings of sorrow reached me. I never noticed before, he’s always so distant and nothing ever seem to reach him. He seemed untouchable. Nevertheless, right now I saw this major chunk in his façade. Where could all this pain come from?
I always assumed that if he didn’t smile it wasn’t because he wasn’t happy, I just thought that this was part of his personality. But he dose smile, it’s just that nothing makes him smile. I raise a hand over my mouth as if this would help me think. Could something be really bothering him, something even Kishimoto wouldn’t know about!
“What’s up with that pensive expression of yours.” For the second time this morning, I almost fell off the desk when a person suddenly spoke.
“What the hell Kishimoto! What are you doing in this class?” I exclaimed.
“I came to see Kuro chan but I found you instead!” He said smiling brightly.
“He’s gone to the bathroom.” I said.
“I know I passed by him in the hallway.” He said.
“Then why did you come all the way here then?” I growled. He most likely came here in the sole purpose to annoy me.
“My class for this morning just got cancel so I thought I’d come to hear Kuro chan play.” He said. However his mischievous told me he might have had some ulterior motives to his visit. “So what’s on your mind?” He suddenly asked sitting on the next in front of mine.
“Nothing at all!” I exclaimed. I blushed as I thought back about the smile I got from Kuro.
“Right. It’s not like you to get wrinkles from thinking too much.” He said pressing a finger in-between my frowning eyebrows. I growled. “I think you’re beginning to get affected by Kuro chan too.” He said grinning.
“Don’t you start with that again, I thought I made it clear that I didn’t like the brat!” I shouted. “I’ve got a girlfriend too.” I added.
“You actually scored a girl?” He questioned.
“Of course I did. What did you expect, I’m a normal teenager you know.” I said shaking in anger.
“Who? Is she good looking?” He asked.
“Damn right she is. I got the single girl in this entire school.” I said proudly.
“Chantal? I guess that makes sense. I haven’t seen her hanging around any other guys lately. You must be really good since she’s got the reputation of being quite the player.” He said.
“Damn right I’m good!” I exclaimed. I turned my head to the door when I heard it open. Kuro came in and closed it behind himself. “What took you so long?” I asked.
“Has senpai been teasing you again?” He asked. How did he guess? I tend to turn to him when I’m just about to throw a fit at our senior. Kishimoto stood up and inched closer to me.
“I can’t help it. Inoue is just so cute whenever he’s mad.” He said grabbing me in a friendly hug. I managed to twist out of his hold and jump off the desk to escape him.
“Don’t touch me like we’re friends!” I shouted pointing rudely at him. “And don’t call me cute, it’s embarrassing.” I added. By now the other student were starting to walk in the class the only stood in the doorway to observe our argument.
“Senpai dose have a point, you do pout cutely when you get angry.” Kuro said cocking his head to the side.
“Don’t agree with him!” I shouted. Like usual they had me cornered. Something about the redhead makes me lose my temper so easily.
“Don’t be so cold Yuuri, it’s nothing but friendly affection.” Kishimoto explained, I glared at me.
“Are you guys still fighting?” Jordan asked as he walked into the classroom. Somehow, our fighting has become some kind of daily ritual. It amuses Kishimoto to annoy me, however, he knows not to go too far. We haven’t actually have a fist fight since the time we fought at the café. Even after only about two months I felt I belonged to that group. I forgot all about the promise me and Nomi had made on the first day. I didn’t think of leaving anymore.
Unfortunately, when we received our math test that day I wasn’t as enthusiastic. I didn’t even past the damn thing. Neither did I past the history one. In the meantime I forgot I sucked at school! The way this is going I won’t even pass half of my classes. I groaned to myself.
“Do you need help with that?” Kuro asked leaning over to see my grade.
“Don’t look, this is none of your business!” I growled.
“I could tutor you if you’d like.” He proposed.
“What did you get?” I asked grumpily. He pushed the paper on my desk to let me see the almost perfect 98%. “Fuck you.” I growled. “I’m not stupid, I don’t need your help.” I said slamming my fist down on my desk.
“I never thought that. Didn’t I say I’d save you? I promised I’d help you in anyway I can.” He said staring strait into my eyes. I flushed slightly.
“Fine, but don’t expect anything back from me and it’s only according to my schedule.” I said.
“Deal.” He said cocking his head to the side. I turn my head to get away from his eyes. They seem to have control over me whenever they lock with mine. This little brat can make me say almost anything he wants.
“I don’t work on Mondays and Thursdays, that might be a good time to meet.” I said. He nodded. Later I thought it was very stupid idea to accept. I would have to spend twice as much time with the weird boy when I didn’t want anything to do with him. It seems that no matter what the situation is I can’t escape him.
After working at the café I start heading home along with Kuro, I work in about an hour and a half but I have enough time to get home and get changed. All the snow we had in the last week as completely melted. It feels nice to have a sidewalk to walk on again but I know it’s only a matter of time before we get buried in snow again.
Nomi trails behind laughing and telling us stories. He talks enough for the both of us. It’s a good thing since Kuro barely ever talks and I still have trouble stirring a conversation with him if there are other people around. Since none of us really say anything the bouncy blond gets tired and jumps in-between the two of us and grab an arm of each of us.
“Yuurinii, are you coming over tonight? We’re having Chicken Stew.” He announced cheerfully.
“Sorry kiddo but I work tonight.” I said. The blond boy pouts up at me. “Come on, don’t make that face, I’ve got to eat somehow. I’m free tomorrow, how does that sound?” I asked patting his head.
“In that case I might be able to forgive you.” He said in mock anger. I lift my gaze from the boy only to meet a pair of mismatch eyes.
“What are you looking at me like that for?” I asked glaring at him to cover a growing blush. Every time I look at him I can’t seem to forget that half smile he gave me that morning. I’m still debating whether or not I imagined that smile or not. The moment itself seemed surreal altogether.
“It’s nice of you to take care of my little brother.” He simply said before turning away.
“Again with that. When will you guys get out of your minds that I’m not a heartless bastard!” I barked at him.
“You know that’s not what I meant.” He said without bothering looking up at me. I knew, but I can’t seem to know how to react to most of the things he says that anger seems to be the best option. It’s because of he’s so monotone it’s unnerving.
I came to realise that I’m not the only one who doesn’t seem to know how to react around him. Everybody face it there on way but they all seem to have to force themselves to be comfortable around him. Even Kishimoto shrugs it off with a joke most of the time. But I’ve seen times where he froze for a minute not quite sure how he should answer to the redhead, or even how he doesn’t quite know how to settle the uncomfortable silence that settles between them.
“Don’t touch me you sleaze.” I heard a woman’s voice growl.
“You sneaky little bitch, do you know in how much trouble you’ve put me in?” A young man’s voice asked. I smiled played on my lips, even from afar I could recognize the voice.
“It’s you own fault, I’m only there to pick up the news.” The woman replied. The smile on my face only widened as I recognized the woman’s voice as well.
“Yuurinii?” Nomi questioned as he saw the amusement dancing on my face.
“Stay here Nomi.” I told the boy patting him on the head once more and I advanced on the arguing couple. Kuro didn’t seem to worry too much as he realised the man’s voice as well.
“I swear Nagayama, you got to be a little more discrete when you want to pick on someone, or at least don’t do it on my way home.” I said smirking and approaching dangerously. He dropped the little red haired woman arm. She spits on the ground angrily and then looks up at me. I gave her a seductive smile and she glare. I swear that girl is really going to get in trouble one day for publishing all those stories.
“Don’t you ever get tired of playing hero Inoue.” Nagayama growled clenching his fists.
“You should know I’m a bad guy by now Nagayama. You brought it upon yourself. Next time you want to grab a girl on the street make sure it’s not my chick.” I said my smirk widening once more. The bullies eyes widen as he realise just what mistake he’s just made.
“Yo…Your…” He stuttered but he doesn’t get to finish his sentence before he kisses the dirt.
“Are you alright?” I asked Chantal taking my hand out to her, pretty much ignoring Nagayama moaning in pain on the sidewalk. She glares at me. She probably doesn’t like the idea of getting saved by me. She’s a strong woman no doubt but since I care for her it would have been impossible for me to just walk by when she’s in trouble.
“I could have taken care of that jerk on my own.” She said running her hand through her dishevelled red hair in order to put them pack in place.
“You can just take it as payback for last time.” I said in attempt to avoid an argument. When I smile this time a blush runs across her face.
“Yuuri, I think you might have gone a little to hard on him this time.” Kuro said pocking at Nagayama’s twitching body.
“What did you want me to do? I won’t let that bastard go around and molest my girl. I still have some pride as a man.” I said wrapping an arm around Chantal’s shoulder protectively. She ends up murmuring a ‘thanks’ and wrapping her own arm around my waist.
“You never told us you were going out with Yamato chan.” Nomi inquired. I laughed nervously. It’s true, I never did tell him. Somehow every time I thought about telling them Kuro’s image popped into my mind. My relationship with Chantal shouldn’t change anything in his life. So why did I always feel like it would affect him if I did tell him about me and Chantal. It’s only natural for me to have a girlfriend after all.
“Yeah well, I didn’t want anybody to be jealous. If the rumour went around that I’ve snatched the only girl in school I may make more enemies then friends.” I managed to pull of as a joke. I can’t stop myself from glancing at the redhead, he hasn’t spoken for a while and he also seem to be avoiding my eyes. My heart clenches for a moment. Damn that brat, why does he always make me feel like this. He doesn’t care whether I date Chantal or not, he’s got Kishimoto after all. He doesn’t have any romantic feelings toward me he only decided to bring it upon himself keeping me from screwing my life up, nothing more.
“Aren’t you getting confident, Hitsugi kun.” She said putting her other hand on her hip.
“Hitsugi?” Nomi questioned.
“Haven’t I told you to stop calling me that?” I growled angrily, she only smirked at me.
“You didn’t tell your friends about that?” She asked. Nomi gave me a quizzing look.
“Don’t worry about that, it’s nothing but a weird nickname.” I lied.
“It’s because he’s got the name Hitsugi tattooed on his back.” He explained.
“I already told you, Hitsugi is the name of the guy that did the tattoo, it’s his signature.” I attempted to argue, the stubborn woman was lost in a conversation with the blond boy.
“Yuurinii, you should bring Yamato chan next time you come over.” The boy cheered, he was getting strangely attached to the girl. I quickly glanced back at Kuro, he’s been keeping quiet but surely he’ll be reacting to this.
“Yeah, my mom would probably like to meet her.” He simply added but he turned his back to me, once again he wouldn’t meet my gaze.
“That would make me very happy.” She said smiling at the blond. I almost groaned. Why did she have to play along with the boy. I wasn’t too trilled about the idea of bringing her to Kuro’s place. It seemed it wasn’t my decision to that though. I shook my head in desperation.
“Sure, why not.” I ended up answering.
“Are you still coming over tomorrow to study?” Kuro asked.
“Yeah, I don’t work on Thursdays so it’s going to be fine. You don’t work at the café either do you?” I asked. He shook his head. I know since it’s the only day that we’re both free. For the last two Thursdays I went to his place for supper. All and all, I think I spend a lot of time at Kuro’s place since I go on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays and even on Sundays sometimes. That’s more nights than those I spend at my own place!
It was running late and I had trouble prying Chantal away from the blond boy. These two seemed to have forged a friendship just now. The woman came back to my place with me, since I was going to be late she offered to drive me to work. I only had time to get a quick shower and jump in the truck. I stole a light kiss before running off on her. However, I didn’t feel all that bad for leaving her so quickly since she’ll probably be at my place when I come back home anyways. We’ve been going out for a few weeks so she picked up on my schedule.
I was a little nervous about going to Kuro’s place the next day. I know he told me countless times he doesn’t look down on me put I epically fail at school. I don’t think he knows through what kind of challenge he’s going to face trying to teach me something. The boy’s some kind of genius after all. I’m probably not in for the most interesting teacher either since he has just about as much emotions as a rock when he talks. What the hell did I get myself into?
I met up with him at the school gates. He was already waiting for me on the front steps, he was watching the heavy snowflakes fall gently from the sky. He had his usual distant expression and his skin looked even paler against the white background. He was so still he almost looked surreal.
“Kuro.” I called out to him. I was almost afraid he wouldn’t answer. He turned, when he saw me his eyes softened slightly and he cocked his head to the side gently. “Come on it’s cold I don’t want to stay out here all night.” I said, this time my voice picked up in strength. I needed to ruin the gentle moment, I fear I might get enchanted by the scene if I let it play any longer. I pushed his hat down on his eyes to tease him and started walking off. There was snow above my ankles, it’s been snowing for quite some time.
There’s only two weeks left until Christmas. The school his already decorated with festive colours and Ren took out the red, green and white uniform for the occasion. I never pay these holidays. Back in Japan we would have a special Christmas hotpot among close friends but that’s pretty much it. We never exchanged gifts. Not true. Once I got a nice got from my aniki. I still have it actually, it’s one of my treasures. Since I moved here I haven’t done anything special but I’m not in Japan anymore so the holiday lost all it’s significance.
The walk to Kuro’s house was very quiet, we barely exchanged words. Somehow, the silence was not uncomfortable, it was rather peaceful so I didn’t bother break it. He’s the only person I know you can have the luxury of no one talking without it being awkward. He has a strong aura that settles in-between us, it’s smoothing. Even when we got to his place we didn’t talk to each other immediately. I sat on the couch while he made a fire in the fire place, I watched him pace around the room calmly to get firewood, paper, a lighter. He didn’t open the lights, he just let the fire illuminate the room. I’m not sure whether he has something on his mind or this is just the mood he wants to have. He leave wordlessly for the kitchen, he probably went off to get snacks. I laid on my back while I was waiting for him to come back. What’s this strange mood?
The fire was warm and with the dim lights I found myself drifting off. There’s not many places I would actually get calm enough to doze off. I’m usually a little more weary than this but I couldn’t fight the comfort that was washing over me. I must have been even more at ease than I thought because when I opened my eyes again it was completely dark outside. I sat up abruptly. Did I really fall asleep? The redhead was sitting on the floor with his knees drawn up to his chest, he was gazing at the dancing flames. He looked up at me when I sat up.
“For how long was I asleep?” I asked with a frown.
“Only about an hour and a half.” He answered.
“Why the hell didn’t you wake me up?” I asked. I can’t believe he was patient enough to wait for me.
“I thought that if I ever managed to fall asleep like that I wouldn’t want to be waken.” He explained. He ran his palm over his eyes. He always looks so tiered, I think I know what he’s talking about. I think he has a lot of trouble sleeping, he never looks healthy. He’s probably wishing he could catch an hour of sleep like that once in a while.
“Sorry about that, we’re supposed to be working after all.” I said scratching the back of my neck.
“It’s okay, you looked very peaceful there.” He said cocking his head to the side. “I brought snacks.” He said pointing a plate full of honey dew and pineapple cut in bite size piece. I looked at the fruits in intrigue. “You don’t like fruits?” He asked. A blush rushed to my face.
“No, I like fruits.” I said raising my hands in defence. I really do love them but I can’t afford them half of the time and the pineapple perks up me interest. “I never tasted pineapples though, it’s an exotic fruit right?” I asked.
“I guess so, it comes from the warm countries.” He said, I could detect a bit of amusement in his voice. Alright, so pineapples are not all that rare to him but we don’t have them as easily in Japan and I could never afford it here.
“You can eat it, it’s really good.” He coaxed me. Like he said the fruit was very tasty, at the same time sweet and bitter. I can’t really compare it to any other fruits I’ve eaten before. I snaked happily on the yellow fruit, I most have looked like a child who eats chocolate for the first time. I do dislike sweets like candies, cakes and especially chocolate but I’m very fond of fruits.
“This is great.” I said pleasantly.
“Eat as much as you want it’s going to go bad if it’s not eaten soon anyways.” Kuro said, I didn’t need to be told twice. “Seshiru senpai called earlier, we’re gathering at his place tomorrow night and he wanted to know if you were coming?” He asked. I thought about it for a moment, I don’t hate Kishimoto as much as our rivalry let’s on so I guess an evening at his place wouldn’t be too bad.
“I finish at nine tomorrow night so I guess it’s alright.” I said nodding.
“He also asked to bring your guitar if you were coming.” He added. I nodded with a smile. I remember last time I played the senior was quite impressed with my skills. Kuro stood up again, this time he laid our books over the coffee table, it was getting late and we had to at least start working on our homework. On the opposite of what I thought Kuro makes an excellent tutor, he’s smart so he came up with a lot of trick to help me. Maybe I’ll start to get average grades if I work with him!
I stayed for supper and after we were done eating we went out to shovel out the driveway. Kuro had snow up all the way to his knees, he looked adorably concerned by the problem. He tried to walk but it was kind of difficult for him to do so until I shovelled a little trail for him. Nomi helped too but he was playing in the snow more than helping. The storm was still bad by the time we were done so Amy insisted that I stayed since it was dangerous going out in that weather. I didn’t mind sleeping in Kuro’s bed.
I don’t like to acknowledge it but it won’t be the first time we sleep in the same bed. At least this time it’s in a double bed so we have a little more place. He’s about the only person I don’t have trouble falling asleep next to. I can’t say the same for him though, I don’t think he sleep that well because when I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom he wasn’t sleep. I asked him if he was alright and he just shrugged it off saying he never really slept anyways. Kishimoto told me once that Kuro was insomniac. I wonder what keeps him from sleeping.
On the next day after my shift Kishimoto picked me up from the job.
“Hey man!” Kishimoto called out coming of his red Honda. His cheeks were slightly pink he must have had a drink or two before coming. I smirked at him.
“Looks like you guys were having a nice time.” I said walking toward him. I gave him a handshake/hug as a greeting.
“We’ve been waiting for you, some guys are trying to sing along with guitar hero so it’s about time we get at least a decent singer.” Santa said leaning against the other side of the car.
“Yeah, I’ll have to grab my guitar at my place if you want me to play.” I said.
“Yeah, we’ll stop by your place, you’ll want to change too I guess.” Kishimoto said. I nodded. My working uniform is not the most comfortable thing, at least not for a friendly gathering. We got into the car. At my place I grabbed my guitar and slipped on a old t-shirt and a pair of jean. I was about to take out the few beers I had but Kishimoto told me Ren and Hibari had brought more than enough. The two rich kids probably always get the alcohol for the parties, I don’t think they’d ever miss a chance to show just how much money they have. Especially Hibari, he’s a rich bastard. Ren is more of the kind that likes to make others happy.
“We got Kuro to drink to, he gets all flushed we he drink it’s adorable.” Kishimoto said with a smile.
“That must not change him from usual.” I said. Kuro looks so drowsy all the time I could almost believe he’s always drunk.
“Close enough, but he slurs. It’s cute.” Santa explained. I was a little curious to see the redhead a bit less straight. When we came into the house a beer was shoved into my hand almost instantly. The one who gave it to me also gave one to Kishimoto and Santa.
“Come on, on a eu le temps dans boire une couple pendant que vous etiez parti. Il faut que vous vous ratrapper! (We had time to drink a couple of beers while you were gone so you guys better start catching up.) ” The guy said cheerfully he probably a little tipsy. It’s the first time I ever saw him. He looks our age but he’s clearly not Asian. He as dirty blond hair in a mullet and hazelnut eyes, they were squinted from smiling too much. From his build I’d say he’s a sportive, he’s only about an inch taller than me.
“Inoue, is it the first time you meet Fiori?” Kishimoto asked.
“Yeah, are you going to introduce?” I asked. Kishimoto wrapped his arm around the Quebecois’ neck.
“He’s my step brother Fiori Deschamps.” He said pointing at the mullet head.
“Enchanté (Nice to meet you), man.” He said holding out his hand to me. He spoke a weird mixed of French and English but it was different than the dialect the king used. Fiori spoke the national Quebecois joual.
“Nice to meet you, I’m Inoue Yuuri.” I said holding put my hand to him. We shared a strong manly handshake.
“You don’t speak French Yuuri?” He asked.
“A little, I’m picking it up from work but it’s still shaky.” I explained.
“That’s alright. I won’t hold it against you.” He said, he could speak English well but he had a clear French accent.
“I didn’t even know you had a step brother.” I said turning to Kishimoto.
“Sorry I never told you.” Kishimoto said.
“That’s because I don’t go to your high school, I go to a French CEGEP.” He explained.
“When my parents got divorced four years ago our moms got together.” Kishimoto explained.
“You’re moms?” I asked raising an eyebrow.
“Yeah, most people are a little surprised at first but it’s not that odd once you get used to it. Me and Seshiru are pretty cool with it.” Fiori explained gulping down the last half of his beer. “I’ll go get more booze.” He announced. Kishimoto waved him off.
“Let’s go see the others are doing, we can’t stay in the doorway all night anyways.” Kishimoto said dragging me off to the living room where I saw a few of familiar and some unfamiliar faces. Kuro was sitting on the couch in-between Hibari and Santa. I didn’t see Ren but Kishimoto mentioned him so he must be off somewhere. Nomi isn’t here but I’d say he’s a little young for that kind of party. The king was there to, he was being charming to just about everybody in the room. The other guys were from the soccer team, I’ve seen them before but I can’t tell them by their names, along with a bunch of girls. They were probably from our sister school.
“Long time no see Yuuri kun.” Ohba said coming up to me to greet me. Kishimoto nodded us off to go see some of his other guests. Some guys were playing guitar hero and they were more than loud.
“I didn’t see you at the café for quite some time.” I commented.
“I know, I’ve been more than busy with the preparing the Christmas activity.” He explained. You have to give him that, the king works damn hard as a president. I can see why people love him so much.
“You should come over to my place during the Christmas holidays, you live all alone so you’ll get lonely.” Ohba proposed.
“You don’t have to go that far.” I said raising my hands. I don’t really have anybody to spend Christmas with but I don’t want to intrude on his family time.
“No, no, Yuuri, ne tant fais pas, ca me fais plaisir. (Don‘t worry, it‘s a pleasure)” He said patting my back, I caught what he said for once. He said it would make him happy to have me over.
“But your family.” I argued.
“It’s usually too calm at my place, it would make my dad more than happy to make the house a little more lively.” He reassured me.
“I’ll think about it.” I said. I can’t say I wasn’t trilled by the idea but I don’t want to sound so desperate as to accept immediately.
“Don’t think about it too much.” The king said taking my empty beer out of my hands to go fetch a new one no doubt. I turned to where Kuro was sitting.
“Hey Kowai Kao Kuro.” I said walking up to him, I ruffled his hair playfully. It took a moment for him to look up at me. He cocked his head to the side as a greeting. His eyes were noticeably glazed, that tells me he’s had more than one drink.
“How was work?” Abe asked, it sounded forced. He was trying to be polite, I know Santa keeps bugging him to be nice to me. It’s funny to see the ice prince bend to the pink haired boy’s will. Ohba handed me a full beer as he passed by.
“Don’t let me get started on that. It must be the full moon but there were about twice the amount of people we usually and they were loud!” I complained making explanations will large movements. “I’m glad I got off early tonight.” I concluded. The beer seemed to by easy to drink tonight and I was getting flustered quickly. I sat crossed legged in front of the couch for a while to talk with the guys.
“Inoue, come play for us.” Kishimoto called.
“Coming, coming!” I hollered back. I was a little tipsy when I stood up, I was already at my fifth beer. That didn’t keep me from playing though. It only made me more outgoing and more cheerful than I usually am. Surprisingly, drunk I’m way less aggressive, at least I don’t start a fight every time some teases me, I play along instead.
I played popular songs that everybody could sing along to. It only got me more thirsty but that wasn’t a problem because someone was always around to give me a full drink. Some one also called a few rounds of shooters. I was getting a little more drunk than I intended. After a while I needed to take a break because my voice was getting too hoarse. It’s the first time I saw Ren of the evening, he came out from I’m not too sure where but I was too drunk to question him.
“Hey Ren.” I said wrapping my arm around his shoulders.
“You look like you’re feeling good.” He said with a grin.
“You seem to be having a pretty good time yourself.” I noticed.
“Not bad, not bad.” He said, his voice seemed to say ‘better than you can imagine’ but I didn’t push the matter any further. Kishimoto had put some random music on the sound system to keep up the parties mood. “Oh, I love that song!” Ren almost squealed when Michael Buble’s version of ‘Save the last dance for me’ came up. “You know what? I always wished I could dance along to this song!” He said with a pout.
“Okay, come here I’ll show you.” I said pulling out of the kitchen’s doorway, a little more in the open. There is absolutely no way I would have offered to dance with Ren if I wasn’t that drunk. I placed one hand on his hip.
“What?” He asked in disbelief.
“Yeah, yeah, I can show you, I know how to do this.” I said nodding, the grin never faded from my face and my cheeks were hot from all the alcohol.
“You mean you know how to dance?” He asked still not believing me. I pulled him in a dancing position and lead into some easy steps.
“Yes I can, don’t be so stiff and follow me okay?” I asked urging him to follow my steps. The okama was pleasantly surprised by this hidden talent of mine. He was a little clumsy but he was catching up very well.
“I never knew you were such a good dancer Inoue.” Kishimoto said smirking in a teasing manner.
“Yeah well you better look at it now because I wouldn’t dance if I weren’t this drunk.” I said.
“Where did you learn that?” Ren asked.
“I’ve thrown left and right when I was a kid so I met a lot of different teacher. I met that from a nice Oneesan (Older Sister) who dreamed to become a dancer in America.” I explained with a hint of nostalgia in my voice.
“You had one interesting life.” Kishimoto commented.
“You don’t know half of it.” I said truthfully. “Hey!” I exclaimed when a drunk guy passed by us, as he tumbled he splashed most of the content of his glass all over my pants and shirt.
“I’m so sorry Inoue.” I said bowing in embarrassment. I barely heard what he said since I notice Kuro was giving me a strange look. He looked down on the large wet spot over my crotch area.
“It’s alright.” I said in a detached manner, I was too busy trying to figure out what Kuro might have been thinking. He bit his bottom lip before raising his gaze to look at me. I didn’t hear Kishimoto and Ren talking to me either. Blood rushed to my face as our eyes met, he was still biting his lips, and he was giving me an almost hungry look.
“You need to wash off; I’ll show you where the bathroom is.” He said grabbing me hand a pulling me away. I knew where the bathroom was because I went earlier but for some reason I did not stop him. Not even when he closed, the bathroom door and I knew at the back of my mind that I did not need help to wash off, especially on that area. But I didn’t stop him.
“What are you doing?” I asked when he pushed me down to sit on the site of the bathtub. As I sit down, he was just a little taller than I was. I looked up in his glazed mismatched eyes; they were almost all black from his dilated pupil. His cheeks were bright red a radiating heat.
“Are you alright?” I asked almost too calmly for the position we were in. He knelt down in-between my legs. “Kuro.” I warned him but my voice was empty of all threats. Actually, it sounded more as if I was begging; I even surprised myself with that tone. He nuzzled his face gently against my abdomen before starting to suck on the hem of my shirt to get the wine out of it.
“You know there’s plenty of other ways to clean my shirt right?” I asked but this was not a matter of how to clean the shirt. I was obviously losing logic thoughts by then. His hand slid up my ties to hold me in place. I could have pushed him away, his hold on me was not that strong but I did not budge. Even though this is going somewhere far beyond wrong. He left my shirt to work on pants. He licked the area around my crotch too slowly, almost as if he was teasing me. I was debating whether I should be pushing him away or urge him. My pants were becoming dangerously tight.
“Kuro.” I growled but he had already noticed. He used his mouth to cup the growing bulge. My breath hitched, even thought the fabric I could feel the warmth of his mouth all around me. “Kuro, what the hell are you doing?” I gasped as he began to suck on the jean, drawing the wine from the fabric. His drawing motions were sending insane waves of pleasure throughout my body. The sound of the long breaths he took in-between the motions were incredibly arousing. I only wanted to urge him to go further. I slipped my finger through his red hair. He moaned pleasantly as my finger massaged his scalp. The vibration of his voice around me was more pleasurable then I could have imagined.
I groaned his name and he seemed to have taken it as an encouragement because next is fingers found their way to the zipper of my pants. He took out my already dripping flesh. By that point, I was not even thinking about protesting anymore. I threw my head back when he finally wrapped his warm lips tighter around me. His head bobbed up and down my fully erected member. I didn’t hear the sounds from the party anymore, the only I heard was the wet sound Kuro made as he sucked on my dick and the long, deep moan that came from my throat.
He used his hand to help himself get the whole thing since it could not possibly all fit in his mouth. The quickening waves of pleasure were ravaging my body and my thighs shook from the pressure that was building up. What should have bothered me the most was that I was aroused by a man, Kuro none the less, and I knew clearly well because it was his name that escaped my lips. I gripped his hair even tighter but I did not urge him any further, I let him go at his own peace. Oh god, how the hell can he be so good? I tried to concentrate on his heavy but steady breathing in order not to go over the edge right away. The feeling was so intense I could have cum right then but at the same time, I wanted this to last longer.
He took my penis out of his mouth with a loud popping sound. He licked the entire length before taking one of my balls in his mouth while his hand was still pumping my member. I gasp again at the sudden change. I never had anyone play with my balls like that before so I had no clue they could be so sensitive. The combination of the two was too much for me to take in my intoxicated state; it pushed me over the point of no return.
“Kuro.” I groaned to urge him to go a little faster. He instantly caught my drift and quickened his pace. My body soon reached its peek and I came in an exploding orgasm. The after feeling was like nothing I ever experienced before; I saw stars behind my closed eyelids. I vaguely noticed Kuro wiping cum away with a tissue but I was much to spend to pay it any mind. The feeling he could draw out from a simple blowjob was beyond my comprehension.
I slumped back into the bathtub, my muscles were too relax to hold up my body anymore. I sunk in slowly until I’ve hit the bottom of the tub gently. He stood in front of me and tugged on my wrist lightly.
“You can’t sleep in there, come on, the others will get worried.” Again he tugged weakly again but I could barely understand a word he said his slurring was too bad. His grip on my arm loosened a little and I found it somewhat alarming. I frowned and managed to sit back on the edge of the tub even though I was too comfortable to move.
“You alright there?” I asked, he looked a little too distant and he was completely out of it. I had barely started to stand up that his body slump heavily against mine. I caught him but as a result I almost tipped back into the bath. I got off the edge and slid to the floor to avoid any accident. “Hey, Kuro.” I said slapping his cheek gently a few times. He was now secured in my laps and his head was laying against my shoulder. Seems to me like he’s completely crashed but I don’t feel like he’s in danger of any sort, he must have past out from the alcohol but it seems to me like he was just very tired and the alcohol just gave him the boost he needed to knock himself out.
“Come on buddy, time to tuck you in.” I said, he only groaned in response and I realised there was no way I would get him to move so I stood up with him in my arms. He’s surprisingly light for someone his age and for how much he eats but thanks to that I haven’t got too much trouble carrying him even in my drunk state. I was careful not to bang his head on the doorframe or the wall and doing a good job at it. I held hi like he was some kind of precious bundle.
I must have been very drunk since it didn’t really sink in that I really had a blowjob from Kurorimi. If I were sober right now I would be freaking out, never in my right mind would I let a guy touch me there! But right now it just seemed like I was washed over by a surreal wave of wellbeing.
I soon met up with Kishimoto, he was getting a little worried waiting for us for so long. It perked up his interest to see the redhead asleep in my arm so I only explained to him that Kuro and past out and I was just taking care of him. Kishimoto told Abe and the senior intended to bring the redhead back home right away.
Abe hadn’t had anything to drink since he was our designated driver. I helped him bring Kuro up to his room, the brat didn’t even stir when we striped him down to only his boxer and shirt. Abe refused to let me take off his shirt for some reason but I was too drunk to argue.
I tucked the boy in and leaned toward him for an instant. It’s the first time I ever saw him sleep. He almost looks dead with his pale skin but he looks peaceful nonetheless. He also sighs cutely when he sleeps. Than my eyes fell down on his exposed collar bone, if Abe hadn’t been there to tell me to hurry I think I might reached down to touch. I don’t know in what kind of weird state of mind I was in. Everything seemed upside down with Kuro lately.
With Abe tapping his foot impatiently I had no other choice but to move along. Once I got home I slept like a log. I still felt the comfort of the insane orgasm that shook me earlier, it was by far the most incredible I ever had in my life. At least that’s what I thought in my drunken state.
____
Can you possibly imagine Yuuri's reaction when he realises what happends, he's feeling good for now but wait until it sinks in. *Nuclear blast*- and that's what became of Yuuri... I bet not of you guys saw that coming, I thought it was about high time that those teenage hormones took action! Didn't expect Kuro to be such a vicious little bastard either. That boy is just as unreadable as it come, you never know what he might do next! Or was he just really drunk and not really thinking?
That you'll have to read next chapter to find out. Mwuhahahaha! *Pats purring BRM on the head*
As for the song used in this chapter, it's 'N'importe quoi', which means 'Anything', by Eric Lapointe, I could just see Yuuri singing that song. Calling Kuro in the middle of the night because he just urges to hear his voice! Yuuri better start realising that this is a losing battle.
Until next time- Love Clolymy.
