Part Fifteen
“Are you kidding me?”
“We kid you not! To be in this town, even passing through, you must dress as a Superhero! Here are some watches that will instantly clothe you. When you leave, they will dissolve into nothingness. Good day to you all!” The man dressed as Wonderwoman handed them watches at random and left.
“...” Collective response.

“Thank the Gods and Goddesses this place has a bar!” Rain dialled her cell as she left the group. “Hey, kid, how are things?”
She listened in silence as she pressed a button on the watch and watch her clothes change to Poison Ivy. She dropped her phone, mouth falling open.
“HOW THE FUCK CAN I KILL PEOPLE LOOKNG LIKE THIS!?” She picked up the phone. “I’ll call you later, hun.” She snapped it closed and growled in frustration.
She walked into the bar and ordered the bartender to keep the drinks coming until she was effectively plastered.

Nicole floated onto the top of a building. She pressed the button on her watch. She was Batgirl.
“...I am so not leaving this building until they’re leaving.” She sat down and waited.

An-chan and CrimsonMoon walked down an alleyway before pressing the button on their watches. An-chan was Catwoman, minus the mask, and CrimsonMoon was Robin.
“...Robin is sooooo gay.” She smiled at him. “But I know you’re not.”
He smiled back before pressing his lips to hers.

William sighed as he locked himself in a hotel room. When he pressed his button, he became the Flash.
“Mew.” Little Kitty jumped on the bed and curled up.

“Oh come on! Old school batman!” Marrick sighed. “At least if I was one of the new versions I could get some hot little thing to smack me around a bit. But this...only Robin will do it.” He paused...then stroked his chin. “Not a bad idea.”
He set out to find an old school Robin. He’d seen a few on his way to the convenience store.

Ray stood on the corner of some street, hands on his hips. Surrounding him were many female superheroes.
“This city is my new home.”
He walked away, girls following, and checked into a hotel.

The sun had set hours before Rain stumbled from the bar. She leaned against the buildings she passed as she staggered down the sidewalk. The city was virtually deserted.
“I need to find another bar.” She tripped over a crack and braced herself for the fall.
It didn’t come. Arms were wrapped around her waist. They pulled her into the opening of an alleyway and made her sit. It took her several minutes to realize the thing behind her was a warm body and not a cold building. And in the next second she felt lips on her neck.
“Hey!” She tried to turn around and fight but the person caught her wrists in one hand and stopped her.
An arm was still possessively around her waist. A tongue joined the lips as they moved to her ear and tugged slightly on the stud earrings she had there. She shivered at the sensation. It was so rare to have this happen to her. She would never trust anyone at her back unless she was fully aware of them. And never had anyone held her immobilized unless she allowed it. She would always let William think he had the power but he never did.
She paused in her thinking and became so still.
She knew who was behind her.
“If I had known your blood was so addicting I would have found you earlier.” Crawford breathed into her ear.
“Son of a-”
He changed their position in seconds and had her pinned to the cold, concrete floor. He pulled a knife out of Gods know where and stabbed her right hand to the ground. She tried to cry out but he muffled her voice with his mouth. She bit his tongue when it entered her mouth. He pulled back with the most evil... ‘...and very smexy...’ ...smirk she had ever seen. Her eyes widened at the sight of it. He grabbed her neck with one hand and straddled her hips, keeping her pinned. He grabbed her left hand and kissed her wrist before sinking his fangs into her. The pressure on her throat kept her from crying out.

“Are you sure they said to meet here?”
“Yeah.”
Nicole stared at Rain. Rain titled her head to the side in question.
“You hid the marks well.”
Rain levelled the Goddess with a hooded gaze. “My Majick is infallible. There is no way I will ever show any kind of weakness to these...people.” She sneered the word.
“William will catch on that you’re playing with him.”
“Good. Maybe then he’ll play back.”
“You don’t need anymore playthings.”
“William was mine since day one. I’m not giving him up. He will strike back and I will welcome the fight. He will suffer muchly before I’m through.”
“All you have to do is tell him you have his daughter.”
“No. I want him to start trusting me as a brother-in-arms kinda way first. Then I’ll tell him. It will hurt him more that way. But, the icing on the cake is showing him I’m vulnerable. It’ll make him believe that I’m Human, salvageable. He has a good heart. I can’t wait to watch it wither and die.”
