Unpredictable

Before I put in the next chapter, I just want to take the time to thank both lollipop and Dream Weaver for their reviews. (Not knocking on those who read and don\'t review) Lollipop, your interest in my story is extremely motivational and is a big part in why I haven\'t given up on the story. Dream Weaver, when I put up my first story I was nervous for the criticism it would get, but now I find it to be extremely inciteful. Yes, the whole dsl means large and pouty (Angelina Jolie lips), I\'m still not sure why I used that description. Ha ha. I think I heard a friends recently say it. And I took your advice on the fight scene thing and googled it. I\'m already writing another fight scene in my next story and using what the websites told me. Thank you so much! I hope both reviewers and other readers enjoy the next chapter. I\'m sorry if some parts of the story seem unrealistic and are happening too quickly without good descriptions, but I\'m really trying my best and I will definitely go back and fix this story later but I want to at least finish it.

"We\'re getting plane tickets right now." Rebecca Buchanan said in a serious voice on the other end of the phone.

"Mom, I\'m fine. Just a few stitches and a couple bruises, nothing major." Jesse replied back. He laid in a small hospital room with a tiny window to the left of the bed.

"Jesse, you were attacked. We\'re coming there as soon as we can."

"Honestly mom, coming here isn\'t going to solve anything. The Blanchards are handling all the legal matters and I\'m allowed to leave the hospital first thing in the morning."

"Fine, but if one more thing happens, we\'re coming right away."

"Okay. Here, Mrs. Blanchard wants to talk to you."

"Hi Rebecca." Mrs. Blanchard said quickly, "I\'m so sorry this happened. My daughter\'s ex-boyfriend thought that her and Jesse were dating and he was-"

"Mary, don\'t worry about it. There\'s nothing you could have done about it. I\'m sorry for making you have to deal with all the legal stuff and my wild child." She laughed.

"Oh he\'s no problem at all. If anything, I think it made my daughter see how physco the kid she was dating was."

"Well that\'s good. Listen, I told Jesse this in an email, but he never said anything about it. My father\'s resort in the Bahamas isn\'t fully booked this summer, and our suite is open because obviously me and Drake aren\'t there. I would just love it for you guys to be able to stay there, I don\'t know how else to thank you."

"Oh, that\'s so sweet of you, but--"

"Please, just consider it."

"Okay, I\'ll talk to Ray about it."

"Okay, great. Thanks so much again for everything!"

"It\'s no problem at all, I\'ll talk to you later. Buhbye."

"Talk to Ray about what?" Travis said excitedly. He sat in the corner of Jesse\'s hospital room, a purple bruise surrounded his eye. He had gotten an elbow to it when he tried to pull the guys off of an unconcious Jesse.

"The Bahamas."

"Ooh mom, that would be so sick. We have to go."

"Oh, I don\'t know Travis. You\'re father can\'t take off work and you guys have that basketball league soon."

"So..all the better to go now before the league starts. Plus, dad\'s the owner of the business. When you own a business, you can do whatever you want."

"I don\'t know,Trav. We\'ll talk about it later. Are you good Jesse?"

"Yep, fine."

"Okay then. Come on, Trav. Nicole wants to talk to Jesse without you butting in." Travis reluctantly climbed out of his chair and followed his mom out of the room. Nicole looked down as she walked in the open door. She hadn\'t seen Jesse awake yet.

"Hi," she said shyly. She looked up but continued to avoid eye contact.

"Hey," he replied in scratchy voice.

"Look, I\'m uhm..I\'m sorry."

"For what?"

"I\'m pretty much the reason you got in that fight."

"It\'s fine, whatever."

"I\'m sorry though, I really am."

"Don\'t be." There was a long silence.

"Soo...your bruises make you look--"

"Nicole...I\'m kinda tired. Can we do this later?"

"Uhh..yeah, sure." She looked down and quickly walked out of the room, trying to hold in tears.

"Yeah, he\'s gonna be fine." Travis said to Cara. They were sitting in his basement watching Untraceable. Nicole had been with them, but she had went upstairs and had been gone for a long time. She had been quiet all day and night.

"When does he get to come home?" Cara asked. They sat one cushion away on the couch. After the fight, they had been able to talk and both acted like nothing happened between them. But both couldn\'t stop thinking about it, especially now that they were alone..in the dark..watching a scary movie.

"Tomorrow morning." They both sat in silence for a little before he said, "Look, about the other day. We were both so full of emotions and in weird moods, I don\'t want it to make our friendship awkward anymore."

"What friendship?" She laughed.

"Well, I mean..we kind of are now. But can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

"Did that mean anything to you?"

"Uhh.."she paused, "kind of."

"Good, cause it meant a lot to me, and I wanna try again. Only maybe this time we could take it slower, go out on a date or something maybe."

"Travis Blanchard, are you asking me out on a date?" She cracked a smile.

"Maybe, if you\'re gonna say yes. If you\'re gonna say no, then I was only kidding."

"I\'d love to." He smiled. Then they turned back to the movie when they heard Nicole\'s footsteps coming down the stairs, they would keep it on the down low for the time being.

"Travis!!!! Cara!!!!" She yelled as she appeared at the bottom of the steps. What a mood change since only a few minutes ago. "We\'re going to the Bahamas, and Cara you\'re coming with."

"We are?!" Travis shouted excitedly and jumped off the couch. He looked like a little kid.

"Yeah, Jesse called his mom to double check if it was okay and then called mom. Dad said he can get Willy to take over while he\'s gone. And Cara, my mom said you could come too. It\'s gonna be sick!"

"When are we leaving?"

"Saturday." Such short notice, Cara thought about what her parents would say, but she\'d do everything in her power to convince them. A week in the most beautiful resort in the Bahamas with Travis, yes she\'d do anything to convice them.

Thursday night, Jesse lay in bed staring up at the ceiling. He was excited to get out of Bayley. He was both embarassed and pissed about what had happened. Part of him blamed Nicole, which it wasn\'t really her fault but he couldn\'t look at her. It hurt him and he didn\'t know why.

He was surprised when the door to his room opened and she appeared with a frozen bag of peas.

"Hey," she said quietly and walked further into the room.

"Hi," he muttered back. He sat up in bed when she flicked on the light. He had on no shirt, and she could see the bruises on his chest and stomach.

"My mom wanted me to give this to you," she holded the bag out for him to grab.

"Thanks," he took the peas, but had no idea where to put them. There were too many bruises and scrapes on him.

"Oh my god, you\'re bleeding." She said in a serious voice and pointed to the top of his head. He rubbed his hand over his head, which was now shaved because the doctor had to give him stitches, and looked at it. Sure enough, there was blood on it. "Where\'s the stuff the doctor said to use if this happened?" She asked looking around the room frantically.

"In the bathroom," his voice was scratchy. She rushed into the bathroom and came back in a few seconds later with a cup of water, a white bottle and a towel. She handed him the water to drink and sat down on the side of the bed and pulled his head towards her. Deciding that the position wasn\'t going to work, she moved her legs so she was straddling him and sitting on his legs. She dabbed the towel at the cut until the blood was no longer puddled. Then she put some of the cream from the white bottle in her hand and gently rubbed it on the cut.

From their position, Jesse\'s mouth was at Nicoles neck and his breath on it gave her the chills. He was only inches away from her chest, which he tried not to look down at. He was supposed to be mad at her, not dreaming about her.

"Oww," he yelled suddenly, reaching his hands up to his head.

"Sorry," she said sympathetically and then her voice became less serious and she added, "you big baby."

"I got this cut for you, I don\'t think I\'m the baby," he lowered his hands from his head and accidentally placed them on her thighs. He decided it would be more awkward to move them than it would be to pretend he didn\'t notice where they were. He hoped no one would walk in, they were in a very sexual position.

"I didn\'t ask you to," and then she gently breathed on the cut, trying to dry the cream or glue or whatever it was. She was just going by the directions on the bottle. Now it was his turn to get the chills. He slowly leaned back so his head was leaning against the head board. She hadn\'t moved. He looked up at her and she slowly lowered her head to look at him. "But thank you," she whispered. He lifted up his back so he could get closer to her, their noses touching.

"Did I just walk into a porno?" Travis\'s voice rang through the air. Jesse quickly leaned back and Nicole climbed off him as fast as she could.

She held up the bloody towel and white bottle, "his cut was bleeding."

"Mhmmm," Travis smirked, "anyway, Jesse. Gina wants your number, can I give it to her?"

Jesse noticed Nicole\'s face turning bright red, "Who the hell is Gina?"

"The fucking banging girl you were gonna screw until that douche hit you with a chair. Do you not remember her?"

"Oh, no I do. I just never asked her her name."

"Classic," Travis smiled, "expect a call sometime soon." And then he left the room as quickly as he came.

"Nice," Nicole said angrily, "You\'ll be the 35th guy she\'s slept with this week." And then she walked out of the room before Jesse could even say anything.

Jesse sighed and laid back in his bed. He didn\'t get girls, so why would he take his time to try to date one when he could just do whatever with a bunch. But part of him would rather be fighting with Nicole than fucking any other girl, even the sexy slut Gina.
