It’s All 4 U!

Chapter Twelve: It’s All 4 U!

“...You really are a self-righteous pig!” Isabelle’s voice echoed through the house.

“This is bad.” Leila said rubbing her temples.

“Bad? No, this is worse than bad, it’s...catastrophic.” Jaiden pointed out.

“Hey, you don’t think they’re actually serious about the divorce?” Dayne asked his siblings.
Leila shrugged her shoulders. “Who knows, but if they carry on like this they’re barely going to make it through this weekend. “She told him dejectedly.

“...God, you are so selfish!” the kids heard Isabelle snap angrily.

“I’m selfish?” Jordan barked back hotly. “I’m not the one throwing a fucking fit because I can’t get what I want!”

“You’re so ungrateful! All I wanted was to spend time with you. But you know what, if you don’t give a shit that our marriage is in trouble then why should I.” Isabelle snapped.

The kids winced when their parents’ door slammed shut and a few minutes later the front door slamming shut echoed through the house.

“Wow, this really sucks. I never thought that we would actually have to experience something like this. As disturbing as it was, I would give anything to have them back to kissing and groping each other.” Jaiden admitted.

“I can’t believe this is happening, after everything they have been through together, surely it can’t end like this?” Leila said shaking her head.

Dayne cracked his knuckles. “I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t take much more of this. We have to do something.” He said thoughtfully.

“What can we possibly do? We can’t force them to stay together if they’re not happy.” Leila said sadly. She shuddered at the thought of their parents not being in-love with each other anymore.

“No, I refuse to believe that they don’t love each other. I mean a love like theirs don’t end that easily...it can’t.” Jaiden said irritably.

Leila nodded agreeing with her brother. “I’m with J. We got to think of something and fast.” Leila told them.

Jordan sighed heavily and for millionth time that night glanced at his watch. The time showed it was past midnight, four hours passed since Isabelle stormed out. Where was she? What was she doing? Was she okay?

He thoughtfully chewed on his bottom lip picking up his cell phone contemplating whether to call her or not. His fingers hovered over the call button when the door to his bedroom opened and Isabelle walked in.

He sighed in relief up on seeing her home safely. She looked exhausted. Jordan noticed her eyes were puffy and red which meant she had been crying.

“Where have you been?” he asked his tone soft and watched Isabelle shrug her shoulders.

“Out,” she told him while she shuffled around the room. “I needed to clear my head.”

“You were gone a while.”

She shrugged again. “Yeah, well, I had a lot to think about.” She said rubbing her temples.

“Like what?” he prodded.

Isabelle sighed, “Like us.”

“Us?” he questioned with a frown. “What about us?”

Isabelle felt like yanking her hair out, that’s how frustrated she felt. “Jesus, Jordan, how can you be so oblivious? Does our situation not worry you at all?” she all but yelled.

“No Isabelle, it doesn’t. We’re married, that’s what married couple’s do they fight and make up.” He said standing up from the bed.

Isabelle shook her head. “Yeah, except, we don’t make-up, Jordan. Look at us; we can’t even spend more than five minutes in the same room without arguing. How can you tell me that this is normal?”

Jordan rubbed the back of his neck tiredly. “Isabelle, you’re making this into a bigger deal than it is.” He told her flatly and earned himself a hard glare from his wife.

“God damn it, Jordan! Why can’t you just admit that we have a problem?” she barked angrily.

“Because there’s nothing to admit!” he snapped back. “I’m not the one with the problem here Isabelle.”

Isabelle gaped at him. “Don’t you dare blame all this on me!” she said pointing her finger at him. “I’m not the one that’s suddenly become emotionally unavailable!”

Jordan frowned. “What the hell are you talking about, emotionally unavailable?” he questioned bewildered.

Isabelle shook her head incredulously, “I don’t know what is going on with you, Jordan. I’m trying to understand, but I can’t figure out why you’re being so distant or why you’re pushing me away. I can’t even remember the last time you kissed me.” She said tears welling up in her eyes.

“It seem like you just don’t want to be here. And I can’t keep this relationship together alone. I’m fighting to hold on to our marriage but I can feel it slipping away.” She cried.

Jordan took a step closer to Isabelle. “I love you Isabelle. I don’t know how else to say it.” He said in a softer tone.
“How about you show it,” she said through tears. “I am trying to hold on to you Jordan, but I need you to want me back.” She
said looking into his brown eyes. His eyes were not holding the usual warmth or love when he looked at her. She felt an ache in her chest and took a step back.

Jordan watched as she disappeared into the closet and came back holding a bag. “What are you doing?” he asked when she began packing her clothes into the bag.

“I-I think we need some time apart.” She said folding her clothes.

“What?” he asked confused. “You can’t be serious?”

Isabelle wiped the tears that streamed down her cheeks. “You need to think about what it is that you want, Jordan.” She sniffled.

Jordan took a hold of her elbow and pulled her into his chest. “You know what I want.” He said gazing into her teary eyes.

Isabelle looked deep into his eyes searching for that loving warmth she longed for but couldn’t find it. “No,” she said shaking her head. “No I don’t. I can see it in your eyes Jordan, wherever you are, it’s not here.” She told him trying to pull away from him but he pulled her back.

Isabelle gasped when his lips came crashing down on hers. The kiss wasn’t the usual gentle affectionate kisses she was used to receiving from her husband; this one was hard and angry. She winced when her lips went numb and pulled her lips away from his and looked at him shaking her head as tears escaped her eyes.

“Where are you?” she asked hurt.

Jordan saw the pain in her eyes and wished he could take it away. “Don’t walk out on me Isabelle.” He said peering into her eyes.

Isabelle wiped her tears away, “You need to find yourself, Jordan. I don’t see any other alternatives. Maybe some time apart will do us some good.” She said picking up her bag and stepping away from him.

Jordan jaw clenched. “Isabelle, if you walk out of that door our marriage will be over.” He said stonily.

Isabelle stopped with her back to him. “Either way it makes no difference. I want my husband back. And you’re not him. ” she said opening the door “Think about what you want, Jordan.” She said and walked out.

Jordan watched from the window as his wife’s car drove away from their home. Was this how it was all supposed to end? Where did they go wrong?

(Better than me, Hinder)

Three days crawled by excruciatingly slowly. During the day Jordan was at work but was unable to concentrate on anything. The nights were the worse, when he would come home to find the bed empty and cold.

The night she walked out on him, Jordan didn’t sleep at all. The bed was empty, cold and felt too big. After a few hours of tossing and turning he gave up and went downstairs to the living room.

He opened a bottle of Jack Daniels and began drowning his sorrows. He would sit and stare at the picture of him and Isabelle which was sitting on the wall above the fire place.

After that night it became customary to sit in the living room drinking and thinking about his failed marriage.
What was wrong with him? Was he going through some kind of midlife crisis? Where did they go wrong?

He loves Isabelle, but for the life of him he couldn’t figure out why he was pushing her away.
Days and nights passed by and the void Isabelle left behind just grew bigger and deeper. Jordan was sincerely regretting ever letting her walk out that door. But he was too much of a coward to face her and admit he misses her like crazy.

“Isabelle, please don’t cry.” Dru said trying to console a sobbing Isabelle. “You’ve been crying for days, it’s not good for you babe.” He said pulling her hair out of her eyes.

Dru shook his head sadly while he watched Isabelle once again break down in his arms after twenty years. It’s like they were back to being twenty and reliving their past.

“I-I miss h-him, so m-much.” She hiccupped. “We were so h-happy,” she cried in to his chest.
“I know sweetie. But you never know he might come to his senses and-”

“No, he won’t, he said if I walked out on him our marriage was over.” She told him sniffling.
“Isabelle, this is you and Jordan we’re talking about. Your love is notorious, if you two break up, then what hope does us mere
mortals have huh?” he said and Isabelle shook her head.

“How did we end up here, Dru?” she asked. “I don’t understand why he is pushing me away. Maybe it’s my fault; maybe I was too needy, always wanting to spend time with him. Maybe...maybe I was suffocating him.” She said in between sobs.

Dru frowned. “No way, don’t you dare blame yourself. You did nothing wrong. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to spend time with your husband.” Dru told her earnestly. “Why didn’t you go marriage counselling, Is?” he questioned.

Isabelle sniffled. “I tried, but Jordan said marriage counselling is a waste of time and money.” Dru nodded.

“Well, he is right. You pay them a shit load of money and all they fucking say is ‘Tell me how you feel about that?’.” Dru scoffed and grinned when he heard Isabelle chuckle slightly.

“It’ll be alright, Is.” He comforted her resting his head on hers. “And hey, if things don’t work out, I can always divorce Keenan and marry you myself.” He joked.

“Well that’s comforting.” Isabelle said with a teary smile as she snuggled into Dru and let her mind wander back to her husband.

“Okay, run this plan by me once again.” Jaiden said crossing his arms over his chest.

Leila sighed annoyed. “Damn it Jaiden!” she snapped glaring at him.

“What?” he asked with a frown. “There was a hot girl behind you.” He said and glowered at Dayne when he slapped him upside the
head.

“Pay attention you spaz.” Dayne told him.

Jaiden rolled his eyes at Dayne and looked back at Leila who began talking. “Alright, I’m going to take mom shopping in an hour and I’m going to bring her back to our house about three o’clock. Meanwhile you and Dayne will be with dad, doing whatever it is you have planned. You bring dad back home about three-thirty. Now remember they haven’t seen each other in two weeks so hopefully they would have missed each other. Now we all act surprised and pretend we had no idea what the other was doing...got that?” Leila asked looking pointedly at Jaiden who was frowning.

“That’s your big plan?” Jaiden asked incredulously. “Monkeys can do better than that.” He mocked with a chuckle.

“Really, well, why don’t you come up with something better then?” Leila asked glaring daggers at him.

“I say we get them hammered and throw them in a room together until they ‘make up’ if you know what I mean.” He said twitching is eyebrows.

Leila and Jaiden both grimaced. “Ew, Jaiden, you have a very questionable mind, you are aware of that right?” Leila said frowning.

“Whatever, let’s get this done. I’m tired of watching dad mope around.” He said rubbing his face with his palms. “He tends to snore really loud when he’s drunk. I swear boats make less noise when they hit rocks!” Jaiden mumbled.

They all finalised the plan before heading off to do their parts.

Isabelle sighed when she looked up at her home. She missed it terribly. “Thanks for today, honey. I really did need to get out and take my mind off things.” Isabelle told her daughter with a smile.

“Anytime, come on lets go inside.” Leila said stepping out of her car and looked at her mother who hesitated.

“You’re sure your father isn’t home?” Isabelle questioned.

“Yeah, I’m sure. He said something about having plans.” She told Isabelle who frowned.

“Plans with whom?” she asked curiously.

Leila shrugged, “I don’t know, he didn’t say.” She lied and tried to hide the smile that formed on her lips when she heard her mother mumble ‘...has plans, can’t be bothered to call his wife...jerk.’

Leila glanced at the clock and saw it was time for Jaiden and Dayne to arrive Jordan. “Hey mom, didn’t you say you wanted to pack some more clothes?” she asked innocently.

Isabelle nodded. “Yeah, yeah I did.” She said absent-mindedly and made her way to her and Jordan's bedroom.

Leila made sure Isabelle was in the bedroom when Jaiden Dayne and Jordan walked through the front door.

“I can’t believe you broke your racquet, Jaiden.” Jordan said shaking his head.

Jaiden smirked sheepishly at his dad in response. “Sorry dad, but that vending machine really had it coming.” He said with a shrug.

Jordan frowned but shook his head again. “Fine, I’ll go and get your mothers one. You break this one and I’ll ring your neck.” Jordan told his son before heading upstairs.

Leila waited for Jordan to enter his room before quickly closing the door and locking it quietly. She snickered before joining her brothers.

Jordan heard the click of the door and was about to go and check the door when he heard a gasp behind him.

“Isabelle?” Jordan breathed when he saw her standing in their bedroom. Had she changed her mind and came back to him? Hope bubbled up inside of him.

“Jordan, what are you doing here?” she asked without thinking.

Jordan arched a brow at her question. “I live here.” He said flatly.

Isabelle nodded her lips pressed in a firm line. “Yeah, I know that. I thought you were out. Leila said you had plans.” She said quietly.

He nodded “Yeah, I did, with the boys.” He told her shoving his hands in his jeans pockets.

“The boys?” she asked with a frown. Jordan nodded slowly. “Oh,” she mumbled.

“Who did you think I had plans with?” he prodded. Isabelle dropped her gaze to the floor and shifted from foot to foot.

“I don’t know.” She said with a shrug and jumped when music began streaming through the speakers in the ceilings.

Remembering the time I was yours, you were mine. When everything was so fine, with you by my side, suddenly seasons changed day by day you slipped away...” the song filter through the room. Isabelle and Jordan stood still staring at each other.
“Maybe it was me, I didn’t see that you were gonna leave, I know I let you go; Now I want you back so I can show. Even though you’re love is gone, Even though it’s said and done, you’re still the only one, It’s all for you. Even though you didn’t stay, and I let you walk away, you’re my one and only babe, It’s all for you.” Isabelle tried swallowing the lump forming in her
throat, tears burning the back of her eyes.

Jordan never took his eyes off her, her blue eyes filled with tears even though he knew she was trying to hold them in. If only he could just bring himself to reach out touch her soft skin, run his fingers through her silky hair.

Isabelle shook her head and wiped the tears that had fallen from her eyes before she picked up her bag. “I better go.” She said over the music and walked past Jordan to the door. She tried turning the knob but the door didn’t open. She tried again and again when it didn’t open she hit the door letting out a string of curses. “Shit.”

“Baby can't you see that I need ya, I'm calling but I can't seem to reach ya, can't we try and start over again, so maybe we can try again, And I'll be there till the end of time.”

“Looks like we’ve been played, I should have known, the boys hate tennis.” Jordan said shaking his head.

“Damn it...” Isabelle breathed and stared at the door. “Leila? LEILA!” Isabelle called through the door. A series of footsteps came from the hallway.

“Yes mother dearest?” Leila’s voice came through the door.

“Leila open the door, this isn’t funny.” Isabelle said sternly.

“It’s not supposed to be funny, Mom. If you two would stop being so childish we wouldn’t have had to go as far as locking you two in there together. You need to fix this, you can talk, scream I don’t care. You won’t be coming out of that room until you guys sort things out.” Leila said firmly.

Isabelle rolled her eyes. “Leila this is ridiculous, open the door.” She said with a sigh.

“Nope, not a chance.”

Isabelle turned and looked at Jordan who looked amused. “Would you please talk to her?” Isabelle told him and watched as he shrugged.

“What do you want me to do; she’s just as stubborn as you are.” He said sitting on the edge of the bed. Isabelle glared at him.

“Damn it Leila, you can’t just lock us in here!” Isabelle demanded.

“Sure we can, we don’t care how long it takes. You won’t be coming out until you fix your problems.” Leila said. “We were even nice enough to store some snacks and drinks in there, you know just in case it takes a few days.”

“What?!” Isabelle asked looking at the door but snapped her head back when she heard Jordan chuckle. “I’m glad you find this funny.” She snapped irritably.

“You gotta admit they got us good.” Jordan said with a shrug. Isabelle rolled her eyes shaking her head.

“Hey look at it this way, the sooner you start talking the sooner you will be out of the room.” Jaiden said the door.

“Jaiden’ right.” Leila said. “How about I start you guys off? Dad, mom has been crying non-stop since she left you, and she even started smoking again.”

“Leila!” Isabelle scolded her.

“Mom, dad hasn’t slept in your bedroom since you left. He’s been staying on the sofa; he drinks every night until he passes
out.” Leila finished. Isabelle looked at Jordan who was looking at his feet.

“Thanks Leila!” Jordan snapped annoyed.

“You’re very welcome, now stop trying to avoid each other and TALK ALREADY!” she said and footsteps were heard.

Isabelle’s eyes widened. “Leila, you can’t just leave us in here. Hey get back here!” she yelled. “Oh, you kids are so grounded when I get out of here!” Isabelle yelled and clonked her head on the door wincing when she hit it a little too hard.

Twenty minutes later Isabelle was sitting on the floor her back to the door, her arms crossed over her chest shaking her foot to the rhythm of the songs that were playing.

Jordan was opposite Isabelle sitting on the bed bopping his head to the music. His eyes roaming around the room trying to avoid looking at Isabelle, he found it was quite difficult as his eyes would drift back to her.

Isabelle’s eyes were closed until a familiar song began playing; her eyes shot open and locked with Jordan's who stared at her intently.

“Turn around, every now and then I get a little lonely and you’re never coming round. Turn around, every now and then I get a little bit terrified and then I see the look in your eyes turn around bright eyes, every now and then I fall apart.”
Jordan was the first to smile; those kids were good he’d give them credit for that. Isabelle was staring off into space she looked like she was a million miles away.
Without realising it Jordan stood up from the bed and moved towards Isabelle. She snapped out of her reverie when she saw Jordan standing in front of her holding his hand out.

She blinked, “What?” she asked with a frown.

“Dance with me?” he asked gazing into her eyes. Isabelle bit her bottom lip before slipping her hand into his. He pulled her up and flush against him.

Isabelle swallowed hard, trying to suppress the stupid butterflies fluttering around her stomach. She was forty years old for god’s sake she shouldn’t be having butterflies. She let out a shaky breath as his arms wrapped around her waist. This was the closest they had been in weeks.

Isabelle let her hands rest on his chest as they slowly swayed together. Jordan closed his eyes when she pressed her face into the hollow of his neck. Her warm breath sent tingles down his spine. He buried his nose into her hair inhaling her scent, she always smelt so damn good it made Jordan ache.

Sometime during the dance Isabelle’s arms wrapped around his neck, her fingers delicately playing with the hairs on the back of his neck.

“And I need you now tonight, and I need you more than ever. And if you’ll only hold me tight, we’ll be holding on forever. And well only be making it right, cause well never be wrong together. We can take it to the end of the line; our love is like a shadow on me all of the time. I don’t know what to do and I’m always in the dark. We’re living in a powder keg and giving off sparks. I really need you tonight. Forever’s gonna start tonight Forever’s gonna start tonight.”

Isabelle tilted her head and looked up at him. It felt so good being in his arms again; she never wanted the moment to end. The lovers swayed slowly to the music gazing deeply into each other’s eyes. Jordan’s left arm came up from her waist to her face where his hand cupped her cheek, his fingers delicately caressing her skin.

Isabelle closed her eyes at the contact leaning into his touch. When she opened her eyes they were pooled with tears once again. Jordan’s jaw clenched so hard his gums were throbbing painfully. Tilting his head to the side he brushed his lips delicately over hers.

Isabelle trembled but parted her lips for him, granting the permission he was in quest of. The kiss was soft and slow kissing each other with his usual thoroughness feeding the hunger they had both been craving for.

Sometime during the kiss Isabelle’s tears rolled down her cheeks, when she felt him, her Jordan, the love of her life had found his way back to her. “Jordan.” She breathed her voice quivering with emotion.

“I’m sorry, Is.” He said soothingly pressing his forehead to hers and looking into her eyes. “I never meant to hurt you.” He told her cupping her face in his hands. “I just lost myself for a while, baby. I let everything get over my head and I took it out on the wrong person. I love you and I never meant to push you away. Forgive me?” he said pressing a kiss to her temple.

Isabelle smiled a watery smile. “Of course I forgive you.” She said. “Please don’t ever push me away, if you have a problem talk to me and we can deal with it together. These past few months have been like hell for me. I missed you much, and I thought that...” she stopped and shook her head.

“You thought that, what?” he questioned curiously.

She bit her lips guiltily before answering. “I thought that you might have been...um, havinganaffair.” She said the last part quickly Jordan didn’t catch it.

“I’m sorry I didn’t catch that last part, what did you say?” he chuckled.

Isabelle blushed. “I said, I thought you might have been having an affair.” she said slower this time.

Jordan frowned. “Are you serious?” he questioned with a deep frown. Isabelle nodded. “And did that make you jealous?” he asked his lips tilting upwards slightly.

Isabelle eyes widened and she swatted his chest. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I can’t believe you would ever doubt me like that. You think I have time for another woman when I have my hands full with you...Ow stop hitting me.” He said grabbing her hand in his. “That was supposed to be a compliment.” He said grumbled.

“How is that a compliment, please elaborate?” she said narrowing her blue eyes at him.

“Baby, what I meant was you keep me on my toes as it, I don’t need to have an affair with another woman, because with you, it’s like I have two twenty year olds.” He said flashing a charming smile.

Isabelle smiled despite herself. “Nice save...pervert.” she said gazing into his chocolate brown eyes which were now filled with mischief.

He dipped his head and kissed her firmly on mouth before mumbling “Why don’t I show you just how perverted I can be, hmm?” Isabelle smiled against his lips.

“Well... we are locked in here. And who knows how long it will be before the kids get back.” She said looking up at him coyly through her dark lashes. Jordan grinned and in one swift motion swept her into in to his arms.

Isabelle squealed. “Oh my,” She gushed. “I almost forgot how strong you are.”

Jordan grinned. “Oh baby, I may not be Fred Flintstone, but I bet I can make your BedRock.” Isabelle threw her head back and laughed heartily.

“Oh, then by all means, rock away.” She said as he carried her to their bed where they made love for hours, making up for all the lost time.

*-*-*

Leila, Jaiden and Dayne came back home, after a few hours of giving their parents time to talk and make nice.

“Hmm, they’re kind of quiet.” Leila said looking up at the ceiling.

“Maybe they killed each other?” Jaiden said with a smirk. Leila and Dayne shot him a glare and he shrugged.

“Do you think this means that they’ve made up?” Dayne asked Leila who shrugged.

“Well they’re not yelling, that’s gotta be a good sign, right?” Jaiden said.

“Maybe, but as stubborn as they are, I wouldn’t be surprised if they just sat there in silence the whole time.” Leila
sighed. “There’s only one way to find out,” Leila said and they all made their way upstairs.

Leila pressed her ear to the door and pursed her lips. “Nothing.” She said and frowned. “Maybe, we should...?” she said holding up the key and gesturing to the door.

“What if-“

“Shh!”Leila said indicating for him to be quiet. Jaiden glowered at her while she slipped the key in the lock quietly.

They opened the door to find the room empty. All three of them looked around the room. The bed was unmade and clothes were thrown around the room. “Oh my god, it actually worked.” Leila all but screamed.

Jaiden and Dayne exchanged looked grimacing. “Oh gross,” Jaiden muttered wrinkling his nose.

“Well, if they made up, which clearly they have, then where are the-“Dayne never got to finish his sentence when he heard series of giggles and moans coming from the en-suite bathroom.

All their eyes widened and expressions soured. “Are they...oh hell, I’m out of here.” Jaiden said rushing out of the room. Dayne followed suit.

Leila was the last one left in the room; she sighed and smiled brightly before walking out of the room closing the door behind her.

&*&*&*&

Well, two updates in one week, not bad eh?

Thank you all for the reviews on the last chapter. And an even bigger thanks to those who congratulated me on the arrival of my boy. For those of you who asked, I named my son Zayn. Indeed he is very cute and chubby...but then again so are all babies.

This is for Victoria, first off congrats. I hope you have an easy birth. The things you got to look forward to are sleepless nights, but I advise you to rest as much as possible before you have her ( you did say it was a girl, right?) because after she comes that’s it for sleeping through the night.

The best part after all that pain you’re gonna go through is having your baby girl in your arms. It’s truly a magical moment and an experience you will never forget. Good luck to you and I advise you to try the gas and air. I was high with that thing through my labour and laughing for no reason...lolz. Let me know how it all goes.
