Chapter 12

Asel could hear the sound of metal scraping against the closed doors of the Lair.If it were one of the droids, it would have opened. He came out of hiding and stood before the structure that held Hammer’s face.Jayme could feel him studying the fortress.

“Fear not Jayme I am a great problem solver.”

“Hammer will kill you Asel.” Jayme pulled the blankets closer to her body.

“It is already too late for Hammer; the Jeri 438 is here and will gain entry soon.”

Jayme could hear the doors to the Lair squeaking from something trying to pry them open.

Asel looked along the top of the shield. “He is what we were delayed for.”

“You will die for this Asel.”

Asel touched the fortress and received a shock.He pulled away from it. “We must remain calm Jayme I will solve this fortress and we can continue with our learning.”

Spirit continued to heal the tears in the core with the help of the droids. The situation quickly came under control with Spirit helping. Four looked at Ten.

“I will take Seven and see to Asel as Hammer ordered. You are in charge until I return.”

Ten nodded as Four and Seven walked from the core room. The two droids noticed the burn in the floor beside the elevator shaft.
Seven scanned up the shaft.

“He is inside with Asel trying to break the shield around Jayme.”

Four ripped opened the doors and he and Seven quickly climbed up the shaft.

I grabbed Rage in a headlock and squeezed until he gagged from the constriction of his circuits and not to air loss.He was no match for me even with his replicas. It seemed that he was only delaying me or trying to slow me down.I slammed my fist into his chest and he falls to his knees. I released him.

“You are not my opponent are you?”

He was silent.

I threw him into the wall. “Are you the distraction so that my Jayme is captured?”

Rage was leaking fluids and only possessed one arm.He lifted his head. “Yes”

I grabbed him around the neck and lifted him completely from the floor. Rage trembled when the ten-inch spike appeared on the balled fist of my other hand.

“You will not defeat the Jeri unit.”

I embed the spike into his skull and introduce my virus, Rage begins to dissolve, and I release him. I contact Four and he tells me that he is at the Lair watching Asel and the Jeri unit trying to penetrate the shield.I tell him I will be there shortly.

I look down at the dissolved body of the assassin droid.Rage’s eyes are the only thing that remained from his body. I step on them on my way from the engine room.


“It is the simple metal from this room Asel.”

“Yes Jeri, but they have been electrified with Hammer’s force and will not be moved.”

The Jeri unit studied the fortress. He could hear the female inside breathing.

“Your freedom will be granted if you wish. His seed flows in your womb and you can send this away.”

Jayme forced a plank out teltpathically and it struck the unit knocking him back.

Asel watched him stumble back. “Now that she knows that she will use it.”

The unit growled at him. Asel frowned. “You are not as superior as Hammer in the thinking ability are you?”

“You cease to become important the minute I walked in. You are no longer required to help Spectra Asel.” The unit came towards the information humanoid.


Asel looked over to see the two droids standing there watching them.
The shining black Jeri unit turned towards them and then pulled the long black sword out of the sheath on his back.

“You have no chance to defeat me droid number Four.”

Four looked at the Jeri unit. “I am not here for you, I am here for Asel.”

Asel spoke. “You are with the wrong side Four; you must see that Hammer can not defeat Spectra. Why do you continue to follow his directions?”

“Step away from the shield.” Four said as the claws began to grow on his hands.

Asel looked at the Jeri unit as he went to engage number Four.The power returned to the room and the fortress surrounding Jayme lifted. Four and Seven moved aside as the doors slid open and Hammer walked from the elevator.


The Jeri unit growled at me.

“You will face the most horrible of punishments Asel.”

Asel looked at Hammer. “I was curios; she is not hurt.”

Hammer turned his attention to the Jeri unit. “You are the new me so they say.”

The unit began to swing his sword.

“I am better than you.” It replied.

I walked closer towards my droids and the Jeri unit and Asel backed away from the bed.

Jayme smiled as I crawled towards her on the bed. Purposely I touched her bare legs under the blanket as I made my way to taste her lips.Asel watched and heard her whimper when Hammer’s lips claimed hers and forced her down onto the bed.

The unit was perplexed. He was there to fight the Hammer and here he was attempting to mate with the human female.

I touched her center and felt the moisture from the forced pleasure that Asel had caused.Jayme ran her hands over my bulging muscles under the robe.She wants to mate again and so do I.

The unit moved towards the bed. I looked towards him, kiss Jayme one more time, and slowly get off her warm body.

“You wish to interrupt my mate thanking me for her rescue."

Asel moved closer to the bed. “She was not in danger Hammer.”

“You are never to touch what is mine.”


Jayme had never heard this kind of anger from Hammer. She moved towards Seven at the end of the bed.Four moved towards the bed and Asel backed.

“I am his friend.”

“You are dead to him.”

Asel looked over at Jayme. She had gotten some clothing from Seven and was standing between the two droids.I stood before my droids and Jayme. The unit pointed his sword at me.

“Spectra will have your child and he will carry out what you did not.”

I opened my hand and my spear flew to me.“If you are me then you know that will never be Jeri unit; if you do not know then I will explain it to you.”

Spirit finished mending the tears and the core alarm ended. He fell to the floor exhausted. Ten called Nine the medic droid to tend to him.

“He will recover with a shut down.”

Spirit looked at Ten. “She has a device that she is using to hurt Asel and make him do things he would not.”

“He touched Jayme; is that an action she requested from him?”

Spirit frowned. “No.”

“Then he will be eliminated.”

“He is one of us, against Spectra?”

“He is helping the Jeri unit.”

Spirit growled and stood. “We must stop the Captian first then the others.”

Ten looked at Two. “You, Three, and Five go with him; we will see that the ship is free of anymore of the interlopers.”

Spirit leaned on the wall trying to rest. Two looked at him as the others left the Core room.

“Why did you help us?”

Spirit looked up at the droid from his slumped position. “I am expendable as Hammer and less important.”

Two let him lean upon him as they walked out. ”Perhaps we could your weakness to curry her attention and make it easier to disable her.”

Spirit groaned. “She is trying to kill me, what makes you think she will want to touch me?”

Two looked at Spirit. “The same reason she tried to touch Hammer, it is all for a better position Spirit. Though you are weak, you can still kill her. She will use her power over you to change her position to the one with power.”

Spirit looked at Two. “What do you want me to do?”

“You should do exactly what she wants.”

Spirit nodded and they walked from the Core room.


Bronwyn set the small communicator on her bed and the Spectra board came into view on the screen.

“What have you to report?”

“The Unit and Rage are on board and are proceeding with their programming.”

“What do you think of the Captain is she trustworthy to keep on as one of us?”

Bronwyn raised an eyebrow. “She slowed the ship and caused the core to meltdown. I would say that should prove that she is worthy of us.”

The leader of the council Greenwich spoke. “Who is Spirit claiming? The Captian thinks that he can not be trusted.”

Bronwyn shook her head. “I don’t know yet but I will find out sir.”

Greenwich shook his head. “We need this to work or I fear Hammer may come here.”

“I will make sure that Hammer’s mate is loaded onto the ship.”

“See to it that it is done.”

The screen went black and Bronwyn put the communicator away.

Was Spirit telling the Captain about them? Spectra would have her terminated if they knew about them. She knew he had tender feelings for her; she had to admit she had deep feelings for him but Spectra came first and if she had to, she would terminate him without question.


Commander Neil frowned when Natalie walked onto the bridge. “Who have you let aboard my ship?”

Natalie held the laser on him. “Now Commander this is all to help Spectra none of your crew will be hurt.”

“You think Spectra will reward you if you kill Hammer.”

“If taking the Crewwoman Jayme will do it then it will be a good thing.”

Neil backed towards his seat as she pointed the weapon towards it. “Hammer will attack Spectra.”

“Good.” Peter said ready to pounce on the Captian.

Natalie saw all the angry faces of the crew. “Hammer does not care for you.”

“He stopped the Core from melting; I’d say he cares a lot.” One of the technicians said.

Natalie smiled. “It does not matter.”

The console started beeping.

“Commander they are here.”

Neil looked at his first officer. “Who are here?”

“Spectra”

Natalie continued to smile. “Now you will see the power of Spectra and know that your cause is hopeless.”

Commander Neil looked out the deck window to see all the warships from Spectra before him.

Natalie pointed the laser at the Commander. “Now we will take the girl and leave without incident Neil.”

Neil looked at her. “If they have Jayme why do they need you?”

Natalie turned as the doors to the bridge opened and some more Black Jeri units took up positions around the bridge to stop the ship and allow the larger warships to dock with Prime.

“This vessel is now under the control of Spectra”
Peter looked at Neil. “It’s okay Peter just do as he says.”
Peter slowed the ship so that Spectra could catch them.


Hammer felt the others coming up the elevator.The Jeri unit smiled as seven more units along with Greenwich came into the Lair.I face Spectra’s leader.

Greenwich was a middle-aged man with a superiority complex. His green eyes fixed on Hammer and did not waver. What a superb weapon Hammer was.

“You are a magnificent specimen.” Greenwich said looking Hammer over.

Hammer had gray colored skin, he was bald, seven feet tall, and 400 pounds of rippling muscle. He had superior strength, speed, and intelligence. Greenwich knew he would have to bring more to hurt him.

“You have evolved from your programming and created these droids. I am impressed Hammer.”

I saw a Jeri unit move.

Greenwich smiled. “Hammer; you are curious about these red Jeri units are you not? Well they are a special weapon made just for you.”

I feel something shoot into my body and I begin to loose power.
Seven and Four go down to their knees.I am however still standing.
The other Jeri unit shoots more of the energy depleting enzymes into my body. I fell to my knees groaning in pain.

“Hammer” Jayme’s voice filled my ears. She was afraid for me.

“They are filled with a toxic enzymes deigned specifically for you. They will deplete your energy low enough so that we came pierce the electrical shield you have around this ship and transport this lovely human mate you have back to my ship. It will be much faster than walking.”

I groaned. The rest of the droids would soon feel the affects of the enzyme and then the ship would be easy for Greenwich to take over.

Greenwich walked towards Jayme. She turned to run away. Asel blocked her path. Jayme took a swing at him; he easily avoided it and grabbed her around the waist.

“Get away from me.” She struggled in his hold.
“I am happy that you decided to join us Asel and I will grant any request that you may have.”

Asel smiled. “I wish to have her.”


Ten and his group melted into the wall as the five Jeri units came down the hall towards Medical.Ten could sense Hammer’s weaken state and soon it would affect them if they did not see to his attacker.
Ten came from the wall showing himself to the units.The five units growled at him.Five-inch claws formed on Ten’s hands.

“You can not defeat us.”

One, Six, Eight, and Nine appeared and surrounded the units.

“Do not damage the outside of their shell, we will need it.” One said to the others as they began to attack.

Spirit saw Jeri units heading for Natalie’s quarters.Two and his droids melted into the wall.

“Spirit I have been looking for you, where have you been?”

Spirit looked at the two Jeri units. “What are they doing here?”

“Spectra is here.”

One of the units called for additional units.

“They say that you helped save the ship by fusing the core.”

Spirit saw five more Jeri units arrive.Natalie took out the pen looking laser and pointed it at Spirit.

“Perhaps you should explain whose side you are on Spirit and do it quickly.”

The additional Jeri units pulled out their weapons and advanced towards the lone humanoid.
