Chapter 12 - Connection
/Ugh, thank god that\'s finally over,/ Kira thoughts as he wandered into the locker room to shower and change. Toya had gotten stuck helping to put away the badminton nets, so the redhead attempted to seem inconspicuous as he walked alone past everyone else. He was certainly used to going everywhere alone, but he still hated it.
He emerged a while later from the last shower stall in the row, berating himself for having taken so long. Everyone else was gone, with the exception of whoever was in the one shower he could still hear.
After quickly dressing, he hurried towards the door, but paused, catching a glimpse of bare flesh out of the corner of his eye, and turned slowly, eyes widening at what he saw.
Lean build... Medium height... Unmistakably blue-ish hair, despite being wet... It was his Toya, all right. /There you go, referring to him as being yours already.../ He scolded himself, before realizing he had much bigger fish to fry at the moment.
He edged a little bit closer, wanting a better view but wary of being caught. He found himself fascinated by the smooth movement of muscles beneath dripping skin as Toya rinsed his hair, thin streams of shampoo lather running down his back. Following its path, Kira finally allowed his gaze to wander downwards, and could barely contain a soft groan. His ass was nothing short of perfect, slightly round and plump, an inviting pillow of flesh ready to meet his every thrust.
He was almost too busy fighting off a wild urge to bend him over and fuck him right there under the water to notice the object of his lust reaching for the taps to turn off the shower. Snapping out of his slight haze and realizing that Toya would soon be turning, and most likely not going to miss him gaping at him, he made a mad dash for the locker room exit, banging an elbow hard on a locker in the process.
Finally escaping into the empty gym, he backed up until he hit a wall, panting lightly and wondering how the hell he\'d ever be able to look Toya in the eye again when he was certain the image would return to his mind every time he looked at his friend.
/Oh well, looks like I know what I\'ll be getting off to tonight.../ He thought, then decided he\'d better hightail it out of there before Toya came out.

Almost a month later, Kira had just once again returned home from a sleepover at Toya\'s, unable to resist a small dance around his empty house at the sheer giddy thrill of thinking of the blue-haired boy. They\'d been getting together just about every weekend since they\'d met, and occasionally after school. Toya certainly knew how to show a person a good time, sparing no expense to see to it that their get-togethers were always perfect. His money didn\'t even enter into why he liked him so much, though. He was just... Fun, plain and simple.
After taking a quick shower and getting dressed again, he decided to take a walk, for lack of something better to do, and because the good weather might not hold out much longer. He knew he\'d be complaining if there was snow in a few weeks and he hadn\'t been enjoying the good weather.
\"Hello there, Mokey,\" he murmured to his cat as he met him by the door, giving him a quick scratch under the chin before slipping on his sneakers and pulling a sweater over his head.
The wind blew his reddish-orange hair into his eyes a bit as he locked the door behind him and set off, heading towards a nearby river he often walked to.
Within a few minutes of his leaving, a drop of water landed on his nose, followed by several more, increasing in frequency until it was a downpour fit to rival any he had ever seen.
/Well, that shower was certainly a waste of time,/ he thought with a laugh as he flipped drenched hair back over his head and out of his eyes. He didn\'t mind though, and was actually kind of glad to have caught what would probably be one of the last good rainstorms until spring. Plus, there usually weren\'t many other people about when it rained like this, and he wasn\'t feeling that sociable at the moment.
Reaching his destination, he moved to the middle of the bridge crossing the river and rested his arms on the thick concrete ledge, resting his head on them and looking down into the rapidly moving water, the sudden rain having caused it to raise and speed up by a considerable amount. There was something calming to him about water, even moving torrentially as it may be.
Closing his eyes, he allowed his mind to wander back to the subject of Toya, and thought about the last night he\'d spent there. For once they hadn\'t gone anywhere, or done anything spectacular. Kira had finally gotten a mini tour of his friend\'s spacious house, and after ending the tour at Toya\'s room, they\'d stood out on the balcony (which Kira very much envied) and just... Talked. It was a very strange thing to Kira, just sitting and talking for hours without doing anything else. He felt... Connected to Toya. Almost as if he...
/No way. Don\'t you dare even -think- it,/ he told himself, sighing. /Nothing can come out of that except for you being completely alone again./ Forcing himself to put Toya out of his mind, he resumed staring down into the river.
After standing there like that for ten minutes or so, he jumped half a foot in the air and spun quickly at a hand on his shoulder. His expression darkened as he recognized the man.
\"Kaden,\" he stated coldly, and nothing more, his heavy gaze communicating all that he wanted to say.
\"Kira,\" the older boy aknowledged, his leer also speaking volumes about why he was there.
\"Don\'t touch me.\"
The hand on his shoulder tightened slightly, but there was no other response.
\"Get your filthy, oversized paw off of me.\"
Kaden\'s glare intensified. \"Funny, I never thought you could get to be any more of an insolent brat than you were three years ago. Guess anything really is possible.\" He sneered, bringing his other hand up to cup Kira\'s cheek. \"A pretty little brat, though. Pity Kaemon never had your looks. I might have seen fit to take him with me when I bailed.\"
The mention of Kaemon was the last straw for Kira, and he lost all sense of reason, tilting his head and biting down hard on Kaden\'s hand, bringing his knee up and slamming him hard in the groin at the same time. The bigger guy dropped with a groan, but still managed to hold onto the arm of Kira\'s sweater, which the redhead quickly slipped out of. Knowing he wouldn\'t get another chance, he took off running as fast as he could, not giving any thought as to which direction he was running in, or where he would end up, just running, the headlong flight of one in fear for their life.
It was only when he could run no farther, and collapsed, spent, on the ground next to a large gate, did he realize that he had run the usual half hour walk\'s distance to Toya\'s house in nearly half the time it usually took him.
Not really thinking about what he was doing, he stumbled up the long driveway as soon as he could find the breath to do so, and rang the doorbell. It was answered by one of the usual house\'s staff, who knew without asking to go and summon Toya.
He finally wondered just what he was going to say to his friend once he came, and how to explain exactly why he was standing at his door, only a few hours after leaving there, clad in only a thin rain soaked t-shirt and shivering violently.
x3 There we go... Enjoy! And now I pass the... Torch... Or whatever... to Tat. xD
