Your Worth A Million Smiles

Alexis stared out of the hotel room window. It was dark outside but the town was lit up from street lights. Dressed only in her PJ’s she had so much on her mind she couldn’t sleep even though she knew she should. She had laid in the huge bed for an hour before deciding there was no use in trying anymore. Theo had said goodnight long ago. He decided against taking her out again and had told her to order whatever she liked from room service. Maybe he could tell she had been though enough.

After she semi-breakdown in the restaurant Theo had picked her up and carried her o the car. She cried all the way back to the hotel. It was like the emotion she had bottled up for years had finally broken through her barriers and everything came out. After getting her in the car Theo had driven too the hotel, parking in the basement car park he had taken her straight up in the lift to his room. Alexis hadn’t really noticed where he was taking her she had simply clung to him for her life. When he had finally settled on sofa in his room with her on his lap she had looked up from his shoulder.

‘I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to fall apart like that.’

‘I said too much. I know how much you have been through and I wanted to make you feel better but all I did was made things worse.’

‘No it’s not that. No one has ever told me hey love me before I didn’t know how to handle it. And believe me I love you too, it’s just it has all happened so fast and my head is spinning. Everything I touch seems to turn to mush and I don’t want that to happen to you. I’m cursed. Maybe it would be easier if you didn’t love me.’

‘I’m sorry my angel I can’t change the way I feel and I wouldn’t want too. You have become such a massive part of my life. When my father told me I was to be sent to England all I could think of was you. I had already planned so much for us to do, I had hoped that our first meeting would have been different but I’m not sorry that you are here now in my arms.’

Theo was holding her so tight she could feel the loved coming from him. But she had hoped he would make a move to kiss her again.

‘But what about the future?’

‘We don’t have to think of that right now. We have two weeks to enjoy ourselves together. And when the time comes for me to leave we can discuss then what our options are. You can continue on at college or the two weeks. I can arrange transportation for you to ensure that you are not harmed. You will never he hurt again. This I promise to you with all my heart.’

He did kiss her then. Holding her tight against him he plundered her mouth with such passion Alexis thought her heart would explode with happiness. She could feel Theo’s restraint though. Attempting not to do anything to scare her off. She knew he was experienced with women, but he also knew he would never do anything to her that she didn’t want. In a strange way Alexis wanted him to try something she had no knowledge of how to initiate physical intimacy but maybe it was for the best at the moment. Things were already confusing.

Theo held her and kissed her for hours. They talked about some of the plans he had dreamt up, Alexis agreeing to most of them.

‘But I have nothing to wear to go to posh places.’

‘If the car didn’t give it away Alexis, I have a little bit of money behind me. I can make sure you have everything you need. And before you say you don’t want me spending my money on you, there is nothing I would rather spend it on.’

‘Are you sure? I kinda guessed with the car and the hotel and everything that maybe you did have some money but I thought it was rude to ask.’

‘You should always tell me what is on your mind. I want us to be completely honest with each other.’

‘So is it wrong to ask how much you are worth?’

‘Not at all. For one I know you aren’t after me because of my money. To be honest I’m not actually sure. I think at last calculation my family was worth around £6 billion pounds give or take.’

Alexis wasn’t really seeing to lights outside. She had hoped that trying to take in her surroundings would distract her but it hadn’t. She didn’t think anything could. Talk about a bombshell. She had known that he was rich, she was prepared for that, but not part of a billionaire family. It was hard enough that standing next to him she felt unworthy, just his appearance put him out of her league. He was a god among men and she was nothing more then trash.

After he had made his revelation Alexis knew she needed time. The change in dining arrangements was easy enough and after he had shown her to her room she had heard nothing more from him. Maybe he understood her need for space, but what happened now. He may think he didn’t change things between them but it did. How could it not.

So what now? This was the question that had kept her awake. Theo had always seemed to bring her peace. He used to make a situation drift away into nothing when they had talked. He had offered support and advice and this had got her through many a trouble. But he had never been the problem before.

Maybe the best thing to do was simply live the two weeks for all they were worth. Enjoy herself and his company. And after the two weeks he wanted nothing more to do with her she would think about things again. Maybe there was a chance things could work out well for them. Maybe this was the fairy tale.

It took Alexis a few minutes to realise someone was knocking at her door. Maybe it was just a porter or someone with the wrong room. Makin her way over she checked the peep hole. Theo was stood at the other side. He looked like he had as little sleep as she. Alexis opened the door to him.

‘I didn’t wake you did I? at first I was going to call you but I thought this would wake you so I thought if I came to your room and you didn’t answer you would be sleeping. So I would have waited till morning.’

‘I couldn’t sleep. Would you like to come in?’

‘Yes thank you. I couldn’t sleep either. I don’t know what is wrong with me I seem unable to switch off.’

‘Would you like a drink? I know here is a kettle here somewhere.’

‘I’m fine unless you are having one?’

Theo had taken a seat on one of the sofas ear the window. He had switched on a small table lamp. It was true he couldn’t switch off. Alexis had seemed to pull away from him after he had revealed his background too her. He didn’t like it. His money had the opposite affect usually. Women flocked around him trying to catch his eye hoping that they would be THE ONE. But the only one he wanted was stood in front of him in pink flannel PJ’S. She looked adorable and all he wanted to do was take her in his arms.

‘No I think if I have caffeine I will never sleep.’

‘If I’m disturbing you I can leave.’

‘No it’s fine I haven’t been able to settle.’

‘Is there something on your mind?’

‘A few things but …………’

‘Do you wish to talk about them?’

‘No. my head is just a little bit scrambled.’

Alexis came over to him and sat on the seat next to him. She liked being close to him, it felt right. Two weeks with him will be bliss. She could do this.

‘Theo can I ask you something?’

‘Of course you can my dear.’
‘Will you stay with me night? I don’t mean any funny business, I just want you to hold me.’

‘I would love that. But I don’t want you to feel under any pressure.’

‘I would like it too. I just think I would be able to sleep better if I was in your arms.’

‘Then my angel you shall.’

It seemed the right thing to do. She had long thought about sleeping in the same bed as him. It didn’t feel strange or uncomfortable to want to do this. Theo excused himself for a few minutes to retrieve a few item from his room. Alexis re brushed her teeth and was turned down the bed when he returned. On his arm were black silk bottoms and what she guess were fresh underwear. He walked straight into the bathroom to change. When he came out Alexis was already in the bed.

He was amazing. Now only in he bottoms she couldn’t believe how amazing he looked. I scared her slightly though. He really was a god. Bu for the next two weeks he was her god. He climbed into the bed next to her and switched off the lamp. She could feel him moving next to her. Finally his arm went around her and pulled her to his side. Lifting her head she settled it on is shoulder. Theo kissed her hair.

‘Sleep now angel. I have you’
