An unexpected mating,

 She moved him away before getting up and getting dressed. "Wasnt there some place you wanted to get clothes from?"

 

 

‎"hm...where we go depends on the type of clothes you like wearing. I know shops that specialize in adventure wear, ones for pretty dresses, and pretty much everything in between. I usually come here when ever i have free time...gives me a nice break from the Pack."

 

 

‎"I guess where ever as long as im not forced to wear a dress."

 

 

"Lol, i can work with that." He got dressed and grabbed her arm, and led the way out of the Inn, and once on the busy street, kept her at his side, and slowly traveled to a clothes shop a good walking distance away. He greeted the owner like an old friend, and Lana could smell that he was a wolf. "My mate and i are here to get some clothes, care if i use the Pack Discount again?" The store owner nodded happily, and Auric kept smiling and waving as he led Lana to the females clothes section. "See anything you like, love?"

 

 

Lana looked around and saw an outfit on a maniquin that she liked and pointed it out to Auric.

 

 

He called to the store owner, who came over and got the clothes that matched off the racks, asking for sizes as he went, and handed them to Lana. Auric smiled. "Wanna try them on, or no?"

 

 

Lana saw the way the store owner looked at her and shook her head. She was going have to get used to people staring at her. It was the first time they saw a vampire as a werewolves mate and it amazed them even though they wouldnt say anything.

 

 

He smiled. "Sorry about him, he's a part of the pack, and he owns this place since we need clothes anytime we aren't with out pack, but if we need to change suddenly, our clothes get ruined. He's always been a bit of a perv, and if you weren't mated, he would probably have tried flirting with a cutie like you." Auric looked around. "Anything else, or is that all?"

 

 

"No I dont think so."

 

 

‎"Okay. Let's go get something to eat then." He smiled at her happily, enjoying the time away from the pack.

 

 

Once they made it to the restaurant Lana had no clue how hungry she was. She out ate Auric by two plates plus dessert. She had the waiter amazed.

 

 

Auric smiled. "You sure can put it away." He was happy they served nice and bloody meat here, since vampires were common customers. "Any ideas of what to do next, or want to go relax at the Inn room some more?"

 

 

 

"I dont know." Lana said. "I think going to...." She suddenly stopped in mid sentence when she saw her parents and her dad was raging mad. He came stomping over to them with her mother in tow just as pissed.

 

Auric had his back to them, and sighed, hearing them the same time she saw them. "Hello again." He smiled.

 

 

‎"So the werewolf who invaded our clan is also mated to my fucking daughter. Lana how could you let this happen. You've given yourself like a common whore to a damn mangy mutt." Daniel said extremely pissed. Lana couldnt stop crying. "Lana you betrayed us and not only us your entire clan and family. If I ever see either of your faces again I will have no problem killing you both. Because you are my daughter I will let you get away the first time. I never want to see you, your mate or whatever abomination the two of you have again. You are dead to us Lana." Daniel said and her mother agreed. "How could you do this to is Lana?" Her mother asked. Lana couldnt speak she was crying and in shock at their reactions. She knew they wouldnt take it lightly but didnt expect them to be as mad as they were.

 

 

‎"Think we can calm down and talk about this like civil people now that we have got that out?" Auric looked across the family of vampires, happy the restaurant had no other customers in there at the moment.

 

 

Daniel glared at Auric. "I will not lower myself to your level mutt." The two of them left as Lana sat there in tears.

 

 

Auric got up, leaving the money for the meal on the table, and followed them. "I don't know, how your acting seems pretty far below me. you weren't this rude when we talked before."

 

 

"That was before I found out you were a fucking mutt." Daniel said. Lana followed Auric with her head down.

 

 

‎'if we could have got along then, why not now? It's an issue i've never liked, racism and all that. I'm still the same guy that you talked to a little while ago.'

 

 ‎"No you are not. Youre a fucking mutt and that changes everything."

'it's not like i chose to be! It's not like lana chose to be mated with me! Living life full of biases is living half a life! She's your daughter, and family should quick together, no matter what!' Auric was actually starting to sound mad for the first time since lana met him.

 

 

Lana grabbed Aurics arm and tried to pull him away. "Auric please no more."

 

 

'they need to hear, about how i tried letting as many vampires as i could escape, about how i was planning to let you go in a few days till my wolf over powered me and forced you to be my mate. About how it wasn't you choice, and how...' he stopped for a moment, them continued quieter 'about how the only family is a mate i only have cause of a rape we both wished never happened. They need to hear the whole story, all sides of it....' then he looked at them with a growl and narrowed eyes 'but narrowed minds will always be blind to the truth. Telling them would be a waste of time. If everyone on both sides act like them, no wonder all we can remember is fighting.....' he took a couple deep breaths, them turned around to walk away, to tired and angry at their narrowed points of view.

 

 

Lana followed after as her parents glared at them both leaving. "I'm sorry that happened."

 

'it had to happen eventually.....' he muttered quietly, walking quickly back to their room.

 

She didnt say anything. Instead she just followed him into the room and flipped the tv on looking though channels.

 

Auric sat on the bed. 'your okay leaving things like that with your family?' he still seemed worried about it.

 

‎"Theyre not going to change. I might as well get used to it anyways I have to deal with it even in your pack." Lana shrugged looking at the tv.

 

‎'you shouldn't have to get used to it.... Nor should anyone else.....' he seemed really touchy on that topic.

 

‎"Like I said I do because unless somebody does something about it I'm going to be discriminated amongst your pack."

 

'no, you won't. I CAN do something about that.'

 

 ‎'Like what?"

 

 ‎'I'll take over the pack.' he made it sound like it would be real simple.

 

She looked at him surprised.

 

"And how do you plan on doing that and if you fail?"

 

 ‎'Challenging the current leader, and odds are after last time, he'll only let of leave as the victor, or dead.'

 

"So then your going to have to kill him in order to become the alpha?"

 

‎'only if he forces me too. It is possible that he will give up before then.'

 

‎"I doubt he would Auric." Lana said looking back at the tv.

 

 ‎'so do i, but i'll do anything for the comfort of my mate.'

 

Lana didnt say anything. She just stared at the tv. She wondered why he was so worried about her comfort and if it was only out of guilt.

 

He laid down beside her, staring at the ceiling. 'anything good on?'

 

"Not really its all boring and over played."

 

‎'most of it is. Any ideas of how you want to spend your time away from the pack?'

 

‎"Do absolutely nothing."

 

‎'nothing at all, just sit here?'

 

"Yep. Its nice to do nothing every once in a while."

 

Auric laid down beside her and pulled her down into his arms, kissing her lips lightly. 'hope that doesn't violate the idea of doing nothing.'

 

She smiled at him. 'Nope."

 

'good.' he held her close, 'being my mate isn.t too bad, is it?'

 

‎"Its extremely horrible." She said sarcastically while smiling.

 

He kissed her cheek 'i'll see what i can do to make it better then.' he smiled at her.

 

 ‎"Whats on your mind?"

 

‎'nothing in particular for now.' the one thing on his mind he already had got declined earlier, so he was staying quiet about it now.

 

 ‎"Ok well we can lay here and listen to the tv."

 

‎'till you think of something you'd rather do.' he kissed her again.

 

 Lana just shrugged. `When are you planning on going back?`

 

‎'tomorrow is what i was planning, or do you want to wait a little longer.'

 

`Tomorrow is good.`

 

 ‎'okay then.' He snuggled her neck affectionately.

 

 Lana curled up next to him and watched the tv. The aura reached out towards Auric again.

 

He noticed it, wondering what it wanted this time, holding lana close, barely noticing the tv.

 

 It just wanted his touch again. After the stress from earlier it was completely on edge. Lana watched the tv intently as a show she hadnt seen came on.

 

Auric sat behind her, and sensing the nervousness of the aura, pulled her close, hands lightly on her stomach.

 

The aura seemed to smile and stilled content. Lana didnt even to take notice of what was going on. Her attention was on the tv.

 

‎'Seem pretty interested.' Auric nipped at the back of her neck playfully.

 

`Hmm oh ya sorry I've seen this before is all.` Lana said looking at him now. `Why do you always have your hands on my stomach?`

‎`Umm no I`m good with stomach.` She said with a giggle. As if to second it the aura turned a light red.

 

He chuckled. 'figured. No fun at all.' he snuggled with her happily.

 

 

`Yep im a total party pooper.` She said and giggled

She looked at him like he was crazy.

 

 

'you don't want to in to on then?' he smiled evily, having expected her not to.

 

 

Lana just glared at him.

 

 

He smiled and hugged her happily. 'don't worry, i was just joking.'

 

 

`Good because I dont think I`m up to having people at me being a vampire and you a wolf.` She said. She hated how other wolves looked at her as if she was is own personal conquest and other vampires shunned her. They had seen a few walkingaround and they instantly glared at her for being with him when they caught his scent and how it mixed with hers to indicated their mating. She wished now that there had been more vampire and wolf matings rather than just the two of them. They would at least understand what she`s going through.

 

 

‎'there is a quiet little town where no one caresabout who is what..... Shame the whole world can't be that way.' his eyes looked envious as he thought about it.

 

 

 Lana nodded in agreement. `I do too.'
