Dark Heart
The final poem of the trio. This one has more than one dedication however, because when I was writing this, I also ended up in a huge fight with one of my online friends. So to both of those losers, I tip my hat as thanks for the inspiration.
Dark Heart
Dark Heart
You have burned my paradise,
More than once you made me cry,
I tried to hide my rage from you,
On the day I said good bye.
You still act like you own me,
Though I severed all those ties,
You think that you can stop me,
Well I’d like to see you try.
You want me to come crawling back,
Claiming you were right all along,
Well I just realized my purpose,
My purpose is to prove you wrong.
I no longer live to be your dog,
I’m sick of putting up with you,
Unlike your heart that’s made of stone,
At least my heart is always true.
So when you stare into the mirror,
Take a look into your soul,
Whereas mine is flying freely,
Yours is just a huge black hole.
